- I'm going to explain which makeup primer you need to use and why. This is a highly requested video as I know so many of you are confused as to which makeup primer you should use for your skin and what will help your makeup last longer.
In this video I'll talk through different makeup primers and explain which ones you need to use based on your skin type. I'll also show you the primers I use and why I use and need these makeup primers.

This is a great video...thanks! I, too, just use sunscreen if I'm actually going to be in the sun for an extended period of time. I never used to, being naturally tanned. However, after giving birth to my son, I noticed that my face now tends to burn easily, but SPF 15 seems to do the trick. I've used Almay CC Luminous Primer, which has worked well for my sensitive skin. 😊
I don't wear sunscreen at all. Only in the summer if I am going out all day. Sometimes not at all in the summer. Guess what I have no wrinkles and I am pushing 50. Also I love your channel. I like a lot of the Ole Henricksen products. I believe all his products are effective and very underrated.

I’m glad to hear you have no wrinkles with no sunscreen ! Your a lucky rare one hahah !!!! For many people , without sunscreen they age much quicker then if they wear it, also sun screen just protects your skin not just from wrinkles but sun damage in general that can cause many things! Xxx😊😊
It depends what protection you use. Zinc oxide is okay, all these chemicals cause cancer. Some people use coconut oil. I don't use sunscreen because I have other priorities and it DOES cause cancer and I can't be having that alongside all the other health issues due to chem trails and food additives.
@@skyejacquesI personally use sunscreen every day with a 10 step skincare routine (do 9 steps in the morning and 10 at night) and like 2 makeup products (lips and brows) for the day. I'm curious as to what cancer causing agents you're talking about?
Thanks, Nina, for your information on primers. My favorite foundation is Estee Lauder double wear. Every time I use it, I get so many compliments. My problem was primers. You mentioned a few that I have and will be trying to use them together. Thanks for explaining sunscreen. I don't like to wear it but living in Arizona you have to. I'm going to purchase the two you mentioned and see if I like them. My problem is that my skin itches wherever I use sunscreen and foundation, and it's hard not to use when you have 9 months of summer. I can hardly wait for your next video.

I've tried a sponge and brush, but went back to my fingers because I noticed I can use less product and target coverage. I also really press the foundation into areas with pores (even if I use a pore filling primer) and the pores don't show. I was really struggling until I gave up and did what worked 25 years ago.
I only use one finger like you.

Wow so much to learn. Who knew. I use Arbonne primer. I love it and I haven’t found anything like it. It smooths my skin like a blank canvas. So smooth the make up goes on flawlessly. I haven’t tried any of the ones you recommended but I always look for back ups.

Okay I have aged skin I’m gonna be 57 April 6th so I usually use the moonshine moisturizer primer all Over my face and I have large pours and texture on my cheeks right along the cheek bone so I use the elf putty primer just a little and I target the area then I wait a few minutes then I go in with my foundation I have a lot of primers that I wasn’t sure just what each of them do so thank you for this video now I know!

Can we use pore minimising/mattifying primer on specific areas first and then use tacky primer(like milk makeup primer) all over the face?

Can you make tutorial with hourglass products. They recently launched Hourglass in Ulta. So I puchased couple items. But... unsure if I wear them right. Like they have 2 primers Veil and Vanish. I’ve been trying some hydrating primers and they all haven’t been mixing well with the everyday products that I use, it starts to separate my foundation and makes it look splotchy 😭 I loved the smashbox spray primer (the original one) but they discontinued it and now idk what primer to get
Silicone base primers work better with oil based foundations. Match your primer with your foundation. All that said without first watching her video lol.

Did u say Clarins eye lift? It’s a sad we have to feel shamed and have to explain away so heavily why we don’t use sunscreen. I never have and don’t think I will. I’ve never felt good about it.

Why is it I can see my skin after 4 hours of wearing foundation. Almost like I didn't even put on foundation. I use primer, setting and finishing powders. what am I doing wrong?

I never wear sunscreen unless I'm at a pool. Im almost 50 and have great skin. Some is genetics. Some is my skincare routine
And a lot is also diet

I have tried using moisturizers in the past, before my primer and before my makeup I’ve tried both methods. It’s almost always turns or caky or melting off my face, almost immediately. So I am at a loss to what moisturizer and or what primers I should use. Would you have any recommendations for me?
I use Mac's studio water weight foundation. Do any of these primers work with water based foundation?

Hi Nina , can you please suggest a primer for covering up cystic acne pores? I had cystic acne around 10 years back during my teenage which has left me with big pores and uneven skin which are visible even 6 feet apart. Honestly I have not tried any blurring primer which I would try now. Still wondering if that can fill up those pores.
Try the Smashbox pore minimizing I find that helps

I don't know why but my makeup doesn't stay for so long sometimes even the foundation starts to go away I wonder why.
You should try Estee Lauder double wear foundation . It's budgeproof as per me. If you find it heavy for every day wear you can mix it with oil free hydrating moisturizer or hydrating primer.
