Let's do King of the Hill with Void Walls as our main trap! It's my favorite map so I will do it again "legit" with real traps and trying to high score.

Well I can't afford OMD3, so I've decided to go back through my library to (try to) master OMD2 instead. Nananea is my 'go-to' area of expertise on the matter hehe.
One thing you can do with the anti-flier autoballistae: put them on the ceiling about halfway between their spawn and the rift, but have them face inwards (that is, left ones face right, right ones face left). The 180 degree arc gives a shot to-and-from if the need arises. Expand either direction. On early waves you want to make sure they are not parallel/mirrored since they will waste 2 shots on 1 flier. On later waves it's alright to double up since they will need more than 1 shot to go down.
Hi Nana, just watching some of your videos for the first time and I'm pleased to say they're very useful! One thing you can do with autoballistas is have them facing side on, so that they can shoot left and right along the full line of fliers. This way they effectively have twice the range that they normally would.
They are treated as bonus skulls. Pick one up, get a skull. It's that simple. Enemies drop them and a handful of maps (this and Twisted Halls) have them around as hidden goodies.
Was the auto ballista limited in OMD1? I don't recall it acting as a 'guardian' yet in OMD2 there is a limit to its placing just as there is a limit to the number of archers you can place. I find that very unfair; my most effective tactic in the Lost Campaign levels was in the Reverse Tower where I basically only had coinforges and auto ballistas. Every fire ogre went down with a handful of hits, it was awesome! Now it feels like it's been nerfed.
They weren't limited in OMD1. It was a nerf to keep them powerful, but also still great at killing. I never liked it either. If I have the coin and want to only use ballistae, then let me!
hey Nan, Q. is it effective to use spike walls in combo with the void wall to get rid of mountain trolls and other supergiant types? I'm guessing it would only work in corners but I was wondering if you have tried it.
i tried reversing the spring traps to send them off the top and not use void walls... fail! i still found the crossbow useful for headshots and mana, good combo with vampire gloves.

This has got to be my favourite endless map as well. Loving the funky setup.

"Endless King of the Hill" was my nickname in high school
Why didn't you barricade around the rift? It worked extremely well for me.
