I watched this with interest as I just today received mine back from service. - I bought my 6309-7040 in Suva, Fiji in 1978 & it is very original too .. but now has a jeweled barrel bush. Hopefully we both are good for another 43 years here in NZ eh (I'm now 77 yo). Great vlog - Thanks for sharing Blair..
It's a stunner for sure 👌 Enjoy Gary , I have a 1977 7040 and it gets worn the most from my collection but i will eventually let Blair work his magic on it .
Maybe you should keep a record of the watches you have worked on, so that you and/or your costumers know exactly if and when a watch has been worked on. At least by you. Thank you for your nice videos!
Every watch is documented with its job number and the watch s/n, plus my detailed notes along with the statement of work which includes all repairs and replaced items. All serviced watches also receive a case back inscription indicating that I serviced it and the date. Since this watch never received a service, the case back was never inscribed. At a pace of a watch every 3.5 days, remembering the details of each one, on sight alone, is next to impossible. However, I appreciate the suggestions and thanks for watching.

About how much should cost to do this on 6309 that has never been opened from 1987? I know you can’t be exact.
So being that it has that non factory jewel does that make it a 18 jewel movement?
19 -- two jewels in the arbor ports.
