- Manchester Arena welcomes thousands of visitors a year and plays host to hundreds of events, from sold out music shows, sporting events and theatre productions to intimate comedy shows.
After 20 years, the arena needed a refurb to give its seating a new spark. Originally specified in 1995, Camira and seating manufacturer, Audience Systems, were the first choice to reseat the venue. The arena’s operators, SMG, were keen that the new seating should enjoy the same longevity as the previous installation, specifying a seat with maximum durability.
In just 44 days the arena was cleared, cleaned and refitted with 28 new retractable systems and 11,600 new Accolade chairs. SMG selected our performance-based fabric, Halcyon Linden, which offers stain repellent and anti-microbial properties to help keep it looking immaculate even with the most demanding of audiences. We supplied over 10,000 metres of the fabric in a bespoke dark grey.

How about instead of repeating meaningless useless phrases about, the people of Manchester that are suffering are offered some help? Maybe instead of LED lights around giving it "stay strong Manchester" on buses running around ripping people off, maybe the people of Manchester could benefit in some way like access to free travel on those buses? Just an idea. You know something actually fucking useful? Something that actually helps the people, not some vapid advertising campaign spouting meaningless crap at people

There was a big explosion at that stadium. I'm lucky I didn't go there.
I went there yesterday and nothing happened
There is no evidence that an explosion occurred at the arena. The media claimed that the arena glass roof was shattered which it wasn't, and neither were the glass doors leading to the train station.

@@danielledewitt1 Yes there was CCTV of the "bomber", or rather the person who was alleged to be responsible, but there is no CCTV showing the explosion. All there is are videos showing Abedi in a lift, walking through the city centre, at his apartment, but none during the explosion.
@@Embracing01 In that lift he was checking the wires attatched to the bomb in his backpack. His brother Hashem Abedi admitted to helping plan the bombing and helping make the bomb at Salman’s flat. He’s locked up for life.
