Bucks need a reliable third 20 point scorer in the starting 5 in the front court not another smallish guard. Makes more sense to flip Middleton for Kuzma and filler from Washington. Then flip the fillers for some veteran minimum guy/s. Maybe PJ. Kuzma is also solid on D. It also allows for a Portis, Prince scoring boost off the bench.

I would do Middleton for Smart, IF, you are certain Middleton is going to be hobbled again for 1/2 to 3/4 of the season. The guy is just injury prone/jinxed in the twilight of his career. I'd rather give up Lopez, but a defensive player would be great.
Bucks are screwed, that loss exposed them, theres really nothing they can do cause Giannis doesn't make people around him better, he's predictable, then he gives up on plays when he doesnt get a dunk and then he misses free throws, you cant overcome these flaws
