5:00 Chopin Prelude in F-sharp major, Op. 28 No. 13
I first learned about Tchaikovsky’s October at Yunchan Lim’s concert in Fort Worth TX back in September 2023. After his glorious Schumann piano concerto, he shared this piece with us. I was astonished with such a beautiful piece sung by Yunchan, and then shivering, and then weeping.
It took a while to find the answer to get out of the profound sadness that October gave me - Chopin’s prelude in F sharp major. This prelude was like a heavenly voice approaching and saving us from dispair.
I appreciate Yunchan for inspiring us, and inspiring me to come up with this pair of pieces.

Great performance, this prelude sounds like a dance
Wonderful play! Please post more.
Your tender interpretation of this Chopin prelude is a hymn of beauty - if ever Chopin wrote a lullaby this is it !
It's always wonderful to hear your soothing interpretations before bed time. Admiteddly, I never listened to any Tchaikovsky solo piano works before. My favorite by him was 'Hymn of the Cherubim'. But 'October' sounds great!
