I'm not a fan of I Wanna Be The Guy fangames because although some of them look great, they don't appeal to me wanting to play them (I Wanna Be The Fangame! had been my exception until then) until I saw your gameplay of this game in my suggestions. . At first I thought and even believed that it was going to be one of those games that I would leave after playing for a while, but WannaFest 22 completely shut my mouth and I am very grateful for it.
Seriously, what a complete and original game, each level is unique since it stands out and pays homage to each classic game they used as a reference. It doesn't get repetitive as it happens with many IWBTG fangames (this is just a point of view and also the reason why I don't want to play fangames) in addition to the large amount of unlockable content and the different endings makes it very replayable and that's something I look for and enjoy in a game. You can really see a lot of the love, creativity and effort that the team put into this work (which is the same one that created I Wanna Be The Guy Remastered) the detail that impressed me the most was that they managed to get Kayin and Paul Saphra to interpret again the voices of The Kid and The Guy (at first when I heard them I thought it was like some kind of fandub) that was something very ambitious considering the fact that I had read a long time ago that according to Kayin he did not like the voices at all fangames (or something like that was the thing).
Maybe my only criticism would be towards the final boss since it's fucking complicated and I feel that you depend much more on luck than skill itself to be able to defeat him, and maybe the PaRappa stage since it was the one I liked the least to play ( although the latter has been more about my personal tastes haha) but it still does not take away the fact that WannaFest 22 is a wonderful game.
Although I see it more as a kind of "Spin-Off or "What If...?", without a doubt, WannaFest 22 is worthy of being called a sequel or second part of I Wanna Be Guy.

Yeah, makes it even more special. And they actually got the guys who voiced the Kid and Guy in IWBTG, one of them is the original creator himself
Heard about this fangame through a friend, and man, this may as well be the sequel to the original I Wanna Be The Guy, because this is absolutely incredible! Plus, the selection of games being parodied here appeals heavily to my tastes; Wario Land 4, PaRappa The Rapper, Sonic CD, and most of all, Klonoa: Door To Phantomile! As a Klonoa fan, I'm super happy to see the Dream Traveler represented in something like this!

Watching the first seconds of this video already made me want to play the game myself and beat it.
