    I will go with nidavanda since ksk would take atleast 10mins to reach chikbanavara from ypr at that time memu could have covered some distance to golhalli and further the same, Since this slow overtake caused both ksk and memu extra loss of time and finally it is the memu which suffered a lot with 25+min of halt

      The distance between Chikabanavar and Nidavanda is more and the MEMU has to stop at all the stations in between which means the high priority KSK will be delayed further

    I felt that the controllers could've anticipated the overtake beforehand and put 06575 on the PF-5 loop so that 12649 could have its usual mainline skip. The wait for 06575's passengers would've reduced by around 4/5 minutes....

      Unfortunately Controller cant guess and wait that the issue with KSK would be sorted. What if the issue was not sorted and the MEMU had to wait for longer time.
      I hope you got the point why anticipation was not possible here with real time data.

    Why was the KSK not allowed to take the overtake via down mail line, it was not occupied, there were no trains at that time and KSK wouldn't have to switch track 4 times(up main line to down main line, down main to reverse loop and vice versa) had the overtake happened via down main line. It would have saved some more time

      Opposite Main Line doesn't have Signal system to let a train skip or stop & start. Notice the frame at 06:06.
      Opposite Main Line can be only used for shunting movements if the other lines are blocked ( Station limit movement )
      Only in worst case scenario will the opposite main line be used with paper authority ticket for train skip. if all other lines are blocked

    Is there a reason why the wag9 showed loco shed as Dankuni on the side but in the first wag9 rear the ROU shed was written?

      Dankuni is the place where the locomotive is manufactured ( CLW - Chittaranjan Locomotive Works )

    the train overtaking was definitely 12001/02 NDLS - RKMP - NDLS Shatabdi Express and I am not sure about the train which was in loop line, it might be south bound train🤷‍♂

    Brother, my doubt is, since on the time of overtake, there were no trains coming from down line (towards yesvantpur/platform 4 line) know, so behalf of loop line 3 (platform 5) it would have overtook memu from down line and then later went to main up line towards golahalli know??
    It would saved a little bit time

      Yes, set of rules have to followed and can be skipped only under extreme conditions.

    Even 12649 could have passed through pf 4 instead of pf 5. But had the controllers planned properly, memu could have taken to pf 4 or 5 & let ksk overtake through main line at mps.

      @@TrainVideosNKCS 🙏.. few years back something same happened here in morning where, our train 16512 was taken to pf 4, while gol gumbaz arrived on pf 5 & 20654 bgm-sbc sf to pf 1, to let 12079 pass through main line & congestion further ahead at ypr & sbc.

    Is it common that Gollahalli and Dodbele loop lines are always occupied? Is this one of the reasons why trains are made to wait in YPR outer always? Even VB is made to wait.

      YPR outer issue is different matter all together. Platform non availability is the reason for trains getting detained outside Yesvantpur

    why was the sampark kranti routed all the way thru loop line 3 (2:31)instead of thru the opposite line(the main line towards yesvantpur) ?

    Section controlled should have waited the Memu at yesvantpur itself and started the local after KSK...That would have been the best option...

      Unfortunately Section controlling wont work with guess work. They have to use real time data. Only after the controllers know that the train is fit for departure, decisions will be taken.
