Magnificent restoration Job, congratulations to Jim his family and all involved. A minor correction, Dodger was Cecil Claude, his eldest daughter Margaret lives in Geraldton and youngest daughter Barbara lives in Stanley, still in the family home. My name is Danny and I am married to Barbara.
    Cheers and all the best

Beautiful yacht...admirable project that has been taken on and completed. Not easy...on both the mind and wallet. But worth it in the end. Well done.

Love these motor sailor cray fishing vessels like this, the Jane Kerr and so forth. Would make great cheap running, long voyage expedition vessels

A wonderful restoration. Dodger was my husband's uncle. He fondly remembers spending time as a boy with Dodger on the Margaret Pearl. He had to be tied to his bunk at night as Dodger worried that he'd sleep walk and end up over the side. Apparently a plank with a hole in it was attached to the stern and used as a toilet.

Great to see her back in this condition ,I worked on her on the Tassie west coast in the mid 1960s with skipper dodger long ,she had a screening GM without a muffler , other fishermen could hear us coming before they saw us ,once again she looks great

Lovely cruising boat but.missing.a.bowsprit. with the main so far forward it would improve her sailing ability very much. Old sea.dog.

the old bloke that used to run it was a character, sprung a plank in weather and beached her at nuns in Portland , fixed and backed her out on the tide , he used to fish it off Lady Percy Island
wasn't a cray boat then ....was a shark boat ... nice paint job bud

I really enjoyed the video. A really impressive job to bring her back from near oblivion. Can anyone tell me who built the Margaret Pearl and where she was built please?

It's very annoying when listening to Jim speak and then all of a sudden the music comes blasting in. We have to watch your videos with one finger on the volume control. You should speak to the person that edits your videos and make some adjustments.
