You are so blessed to still have your dad and he is such a cutie!!! I lost my dad when I was only 19 and I am now 75 and I still miss him so much!!! LOVE your videos!!!
I am so sorry to hear about your dad passing when you were young. That’s really hard. Glad you’re here Lynda!
♥️
What a blessing to have your dad cherish him...
I've said it before, I'll say it again.... your Dad is adorable!!!!
With produce in the frig, moisture is your enemy. I always throw in a paper towel in with my lettuce, broccoli...all of it. The paper towel absorbs the moisture and the produce stay fresh longer. I'll even periodically change out the paper towels when they get wet.
Your dad is such a good helper! And spending quality time with him each month is a great thing for you to do - I am sure it means a lot to him to spend that time with you ♡
Love watching you and your dad shopping 🛒
Great haul! So nice to see your Dad shopping with you.
He’s the best! 😊
I think you did a great job and your Dad is amazing!
I love your Videos. Love seeing your Dad shopping with you.
Love when your Dad shops with you!
Things get pricey before the holidays. Especially when you're baking more and then there Thanksgiving dinner.
Looking forward to your shopping, baking & cooking!
Can’t wait for some tasty holiday food! 😊😊
I've recently started prepping my veggies by putting in glass jars, also sliced apples with a little lemon juice. Someone told me placing salad in the jars will extend it's life once package is opened. Enjoyed grocery trip with your Dad.
Good to know. I have heard about a special salt water rinse that helps apples not brown. I have to find the video that talked about it. I want to give it a try.
Both your dad and your little sis are adorable, I love when they come shopping with you! My fave (sweet) pie is apple pie for sure BUT Ido love a carrot cake, too. Sooooo good! Thanks for another lovely video. Have a blessed day :)
I love using the jars to store food! It does last longer in the refrig for salads and produce
That’s what I’m thinking! Yay
Lancaster!!
My favorite shopping duo 💞💞💞
I love your commentary and how sweet your dad is!
Thanks Kristal! 😊
Hi dad love to see you again ❤️
Our Christmas Tree would go up either Black Friday (if Mommy didn't have to work it) or the weekend after, and stayed up until Epiphany. It was such a shock to go to school on Jan 6th with the tree up and then come home to a bare living room.
I have to admit that I LOVE Tupperware!! I know it’s a little pricey but it’s guaranteed for LIFE so it’s worth the extra money for me. Lose the lid? Free replacement. Crack the bowl? Free replacement. It’s amazing for non-graceful people like me!
Also, here in Louisiana, meat pies are a big thing! So are crawfish pies. It’s like fried pies filled with seasoned meat.
Love your grocery haul and sense of humor(: Hope you and your dad have a lovely weekend 😊.
Thank you Carmen! 😊
@@Thegrocerylady you're welcome 😊
Thoroughly love following along from Australia 🇦🇺 especially with your dad!! Love you guys!! ❤😊
Hello to you in Australia! 😊
i love your grocery shopping videos
I bake a lot too, especially during the holidays. I don't belong to Sam's or Costco. But I buy butter when it is on sale, then freeze it. I always have at least 1 pack in there.
I love your shopping haul.
Hi Meghan great haul so far, I love ❤️ your style. Prices here in Canada way over the top.Have an awesome day and hi to your Dad.Sending blessings from Wallaceburg Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️🎃
I’ve heard that a lot about Canada. Hope you’re able to get the things that you need. Have a great weekend!
Your food shops are so good I live in the UK and love watching American supermarket shops 👍🥰xx
Your dad is awesome! ❤❤
I’m going to have to agree with that!
Thank you for taking us shopping with you.🎃
Thanks for coming along!
I use my Mason jars for our sugar and coffee creamer that sit by my coffee maker! I put leftover soups and stews in them too!! Great haul!!
Good thinking!
Good afternoon Meghan. What a haul. . I personally can't wait for deer hunting season to start here in Maryland, in order to bring back some fresh venison for the family. I find the best way to cook venison is to heat the broiler or stovetop grill pan or grill, having let the venison soak in the marinade of your choice overnight. Then you simply remove the venison from the marinade and season with salt and pepper. Working in batches if necessary, place the steaks under the broiler or on the grilling surface and cook, flipping once, until medium-rare, 4 to 5 minutes per side. Allow the venison to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Of course the best venison is grass fed - much leaner than beef. That being said, have a wonderful weekend full of family fun and food.
I’m not super familiar with venison. A friend of mine does a lot of hunting. They’ve brought us food using venison before. Glad you’re able to use that for your fam! 😊 Have a great weekend!
@@Thegrocerylady You bet Meghan. They absolutely love it.
Seriously love and look forward to your videos thank you so much for your content and the effort you put into your video’s
Thanks Briann! 😊😊
Sam's Club has an Aero Garden kit for $149 it's such an amazing deal comes with herb garden and cherry tomato pods. So much fun to watch grow
I LOVE my aerogarden! The herbs grow super well and its very compact. 10/10 would recommend!
I just check it out! Looks amazing!!!
Wickles Pickles are so yummy!! Try them some time…my family’s favorite.
GREAT haul!! ❤🛒❤🛒❤🛒
In a mason jar, cherries soaked in kirsch with a good helping of sugar or ginger with a reduced sugar water.
We shop at Sam's to. Usually we shop there about every 3 to 4 months. Last time it was quite a lot of money but it lasts for us a long time.
It’s a great way to buy a bunch at a good price! 😊
I about fell over when I saw those Reese’s, I would be in heaven
I’ve never seen such a thing! We would need a Reese’s eating party!!
Still at the beginning and I feel like this might be a huge trip. I use jars in the freezer but I use the old salsa and spaghetti jars. I highly recommend. I use the tomato sauce jars for making more tomato sauce and smaller jars for enchiladas and sloppy joe sauce. I have onions diced in a baby food jar in the freezer. My favorite pie is Lemon Chess. Yum! Yeah funnel.
Yes! A VERY big haul. 😳 now that I have the extra canning lids I’m going to keep the sauce jars, too!
@@Thegrocerylady I use the plastic lids and not the metal canning lids because they are easier to wash if you want to use for fry mixes and more. They have a ball brand one which I love but Walmart stopped carrying them but they have a big bag of white ones either regular or wide mouth. I have both jars so I keep the lids in two different places 😂
Your family is adorable!! Your dad is such a good helper. I can't wait to see what you are going to make for Thanksgiving. We don't celebrate it in Greece but it's really interesting. As for pies, in Greece we have a lot of savory pies, such as spinach and feta pie (spanakopita) or just cheese pie (tiropita).
Spinach and feta pie! Yum!!
If I have puff pastry left I cut then in slices prick them cook them when cool put jam on one slice then cream on the other slice put on top of the jam sprinkle icing sugar over top .you have yourself a cream slice delicious
So cute that you and your dad shop together! Me and my dad would not do good together, he doesn't like to shop!
😊
If you happen to hit Sam’s at the right time around early spring, they have those 3 packs of pumpkin on clearance for $1.98. I bought a bunch. Gave some to friends. The expiration date is not until next October. What I don’t use next year, I will open and freeze in my food saver bags. This was the second time I happened to be at Sam’s when the pumpkin was on clearance. The other was about 5 years back so I assume they do it every year if they have any to get rid of. Can’t beat it.
I absolutely hope that happens at our Sam’s. You know I’ll be buying a TON!! 😊
Love you and your Dad are, awesome 👌
❤️❤️❤️
Hi Megan, my Christmas tree has been up since the first of October lol. I'm the big kid here who loves to just sit and look at the lights. It makes my heart happy.
And sweet potato pie is something that you need to try. It's like a southern staple here. If you like pumpkin pie then I really think that you will like the sweet potato pie. And something else you can do with them,is cut them up and do fries with them. My husband and grandkids love them.
I love that you already have your tree up! That’s fantastic. As far as sweet potatoes - yes to them as fries! As for the pie… All the southern lovelies are convincing me it might be the thing I need to try. 😊
@@Thegrocerylady yes ma'am, I think you should try it and then, you can let us know how you feel about it.
@@rhondaboggs5539 very true!
I encourage you to make and can your own strawberry jam 🥰 you won’t regret it!
Hi Meagan And hello to your dad.
Hello Anna!
Hey Dad, hey friend. How are you and dad doing? Here watching and prepping today. Kiddos starting to feel better.
We’re doing well! So so glad your kids are starting to feel better!
That was a good sized Italian meat sample! Great video as always!
Right?! 😊
Love your monthly hauls!!
Hello to you in Poland!! 😊😊
Good morning!! Always love to shop with you! Wow..eggs for $1.99 I can't imagine those prices. Eggs are ranging between $4-$5.99 per dozen here (and no those aren't the farm fresh eggs), if you can find them! On my most recent videos I show empty cases where the eggs are supposed to be. I love that your dad helps you shop and that he also knows the prices!!
Yikes to the egg prices. 😳
In England we call the biscuit with jam in middle we call them jammie dodgers. Love your family. Xx
That’s really cute! Love that!
Sweet ones
Steak/mince and cheese, butter chicken pie, chilli beef and cheese pie, Thai curry chicken pie etc savory pies here in NZ when you say pie, but we do have things like apple pie or lemon meringue pie few things like that.
I didn’t realize savory pies were such a big thing! Sounds tasty!
You should watch Knorp and South, they did September pies, she made a pie every day in September, it was very interesting. As for other countries and pies, back in Austria we don’t have any pies. So when I moved to Canada 20 years ago I had to learn a lot about pies
Oh great haul. That's some expensive butter too 😨 but you are going to use it all. The pasta surely will last you months and months.
I love apple pie and sweet potato pies are so delicious ☺️
I’m definitely going to use that butter!! I’m not sure howling the pasta will last though… we eat it for lunch a lot!
@@Thegrocerylady oh I know you will with all the baking and cooking you are going to do 🤗
A Pomelo is a cross between a grapefruit and orange. They tasted good bot the peeling was super thick. When I store leftovers in my refrigerator I always try and use glass. Every thing stays better in glass. Sincerely Debora Atkins
😊😊
We have our tree up maybe 2weeks of December. I have a mini tornado that pulls it apart 🤣 then her birthday on new years.
Uh oh! 😂 your tree needs a massive gate! 😂
Over here in the uk 🇬🇧 we do cheese and onion pie steak and kidney meat and potato there some
Popular pies then we have cherry pie for say desert or apple crumble
So many different options. I’d take a meat and potato pie! 😊
Apple and blackberry pie in the Uk for sweet and braised steak and gravy savoury pie or chicken and gammon with a cheesy sauce pie xx
Chocolate lava cake in your slow cooker.. So easy.
Love my Kitchen Aid! Mine is "Watermelon" color!
Ooo! Fancy! 😊😊😊
it' so funny watching you shop, as I have allergies to additives and I have a ADHD son I have to read every ingredient and make sure they contain no colors, no artificial flavors, no preservitives low in salt and sugar, interesting we rarely eat snacks apart from fresh fruit
You can keep chopped romaine in a mason jar for weeks. I do it all the time. U will love it
Starting to add christmas things to my weekly shop so my bills are a bit higher say hello to your Dad for me and if I lived in the same area as you the cheese Advent calendar would be gone I don't have a back up area for food but I sorted my cupboards and now I have a few things put away xxx
Smart thinking! Such a good idea to add a little bit of Christmas to your grocery shopping trips.
the yeast you want to keep in the fridge than on the shelf because it does better for like pizza and breads.
Crazy enough I had no idea yeast was meant to be kept in the fridge until the other day. I thought it was just if you bought it in bulk. Thankfully my yeast always works really well, but I will be putting it in the fridge from now on. 😊
yes a video about home made pasta. ❤️🇨🇦
Oh yes!! Can’t wait to share!
Just buy the containers of the dried rosemary in the spices section in the baking aisle
Fresh is definitely better for focaccia bread! 😊
our christmas decor go up starting at 8 pm halloween night and stay up until the epiphany jan. 8th.
Love it!! It’s been really warm here the last week or so. Our neighbor put their Christmas lights up. I thought it was brilliant. Why wait until it’s freezing out?!
Hi. How are you? We are 4 in the house and I buy in bulk. We store jam in mason jars, my mother in law make jam and fruit with syrup that we store. It lasts for months. I store coffee in mason jars and soups.
Love using mason jars for storing food! So nice that your MIL makes jam and syrup for you! I’m sure it’s amazing. 😊
Megan ,Im from uk i love to make cheese, and onion and potato pie also meat and potato pie, stew beef pie also chicken piei also make fruit pies Apple, rhubarb etc im a retired cook but still love to bake xx
It’s pronounced red “lester” love the haul.😊
Love the kitchen aide I’ve been saving money for one I live on a fixed income and it’s hard to save with everything being so ridiculously high but hopefully by Christmas ( fingers crossed) I’ll have one
I love that you’re saving for it! Takes a lot of self-control and patience. I’m really grateful my kitchenaide was loaned to me indefinitely. It is a big purchase.
My mom always made squash pie instead of pumpkin pie.
From the UK here…..it’s great when you say the weight or size of packs. Thanks (also, it’s pronounced Lester cheese)
For pickles, try Claussen it's over by the lunch meat and hot dogs. It's refrigerated and has to stay refrigerated. I struggled finding a pickle brand too until somebody told me about them and now I am hooked and won't buy anything else.
I’ll have to check it out!
I looooove pomelos, they are really good, not really citrusy though, maybe more floral? idk how to describe the taste, you have to really clean the rind and the white parts around it(like in an orange, the peels and the rind are very bitter)
I may just have to give them a try.
Mason Jars- Carrots, Apple Slices (soaked in lemon juice first to prevent browning), Sliced Peppers, Strawberries, Blackberries, Cucumbers are OK but texture gets weird quick.
I went to my local Aldi on 10/28 and eggs were $3.89 a dozen😳. My local grocery store had eggs for $4.99. Yikes! But I did find several prices did come down quite a bit at Aldi on items.
I love Tupperware. When looking at our Target and didn't find it.
Sad. ☹️
Love the cheese advent calender and the red Leicester is pronounced Lester. Also love jammy Dodgers. UK here if you hadn't guessed.
Another person from the UK mentioned Jammy dodgers. I love the name! 😊😊😊
Hi Megan, check aldi for their own brand butter it may be cheaper getting it there than at Sam's.
You need to try salted butter in baking, it will transform your baking for the better, honestly 😉
Surprisingly it’s cheaper to buy butter at Sam’s. Like a lot cheaper. I did check on it though! 😊
Leicestershire cheese is pronounced as "Les ter shire" it is named after the English county where it is typically made.
I love Sam's and the scan n go thru the app. No standing in line for this old lady. Plus I get a lot of things shipped.
😂 If I wasn’t filming on my phone I would def be using the scan and go!
Green onions where I live are $3.00/bunch! They used to be .89!
It’s just me and my beagle Ellie. And I have a membership to Sam’s for gas and car wash so far. Plus I have a membership to Costco- toilet paper and dog food, etc.
Kong toys may cost a little more, but if George is like my Pittbull Gizmo they are worth it. Gizmo can chew almost anything apart in no time. She has one kong toy that has lasted over two years. Save where you can.
I have a few kong items… i need to check out what else they have!
We don't realy do pies in my country as well 😂 we do more tart kind of things. Almond is my favorite
Oooo. Almond sounds good.
Lancaster cheeses! On the east coast!
The same box of puff pastry at our store where I live is almost 8 dollars !!
😳😳
👋 dad ❤ from Belfast NI ♥️
We have a brand in uk for the jam cookies that are sandwiched together called jammed dodgers. You'd love them
I must try them!
Hello Meghan
Love watching you
So i have made salmon pot pie
Beef pot pie
Chicken pot pie of course
Pork tortier which is a pork pie
But my favourite kind of sweet pie is banoffee
Yummy
I’ve never heard of so many of those. I never realize there were so many options for pie. 😊
Vlasic is the best pickle
There are two different kinds of jam cookies. Linzer cookies are 2 cookies with jam sandwiched in the middle and a window in the top cookie. Thumbprint cookies are 1 cookie with a well in the center filled with jam. 😀 baker here.
I think I like both, but the thumbprint ones might be more what I like.
@@Thegrocerylady
Yes. Both are very good. The thumbprint are the most versatile. You can use other ingredients besides jam. I’ve made them with snack size Reeses.😀
@@rrenda1 well now… that sounds like my kind of cookie! Yum
I want Reese bucket also
Yes!!
Just got a little bunch of cilantro for .38 here at Heb in Texas. Not bad
Nice!!
Bubbies pickles..............!!
I put my tree up nov 1
Buttermilk pie
I'm on a permanent low sugar diet, I do eat a little but I have to be very careful.
I'm going to cheat a little :) my 42nd birthday is the 7th so I'm getting a small cake for myself.
I've never been to Sam's Club it's kinda similar to Costco :) they have good deals there.
Hi lv what dose the vinegar do in washer why not used softener .the prices are so expensive.good old aldi we can save a lot when we shop at aldi . From Crewe in England 🏴 we make steak pie apple pie .lv your hauls x
Hello to you in England!! ❤️
Vinegar helps to clean and soften clothes without build up. Softener tends to build up and has a scent - which some people love, but I don’t enjoy. I love using it especially in towel loads - so clean and fresh!
