      Troy's Flooring Solutions Yo dude, WE Knives just released their budget line. Checkout the Civivi Backlash, Praxis and Naja. All winners, no d2 steel... but 10 dollars less and cheaper than a tenacious too.

    I received my green Scimitar today and it is beautiful. Razor sharp centered perfectly and the G10 is beautiful. Thanks for the tip :-)

    My first Bestech should be here Monday. Filling the void of my broken Rat 2 work knife.

      Zelrick Got it yesterday. Very pleased with the design for a $50 blade. However, the action is way too tight and you can feel the bearings dragging. I am sure i can tune it up when i disassemble it but there is not a lot of forgiveness in the centring to tweak it much. Like thousands of an inch off the liners.

      Just getting the thick grease out and putting some oil in it will help a lot. I hope it all turns out great.

      How did you break your Rat 2? Was it the blade or the handle?
      I own a Rat 2 and it's pretty sturdy..

    Just ordered a scimitar. Great review. Now I need some ballistol.

      Everyone needs Ballistol, I use it for nearly all general lube needs that a person would use WD40 for.
      Enjoy that Scimitar, it's a cool one.
      Thanks for watching and have a great day!

      The Outdoor Dude Amazon has Ballistol. It's amazingly versatile for many uses. And it's safe.

    I own this knife and whereas I really like the blade design, action and overall fit and finish, the D2 steel is not what I expected or hoped for. I dropped the knife on a wood pile and the tip chipped off just by making contact with the wood. Overall the steel just behaves very odd when sharpening. It takes a toothy edge then looses it and goes butter knife smooth, then rinse and repeat over and over again. I really wanted to love this knife but the steel is sh**! Save a couple bucks and get a Ruike or Real Steel in 14c28n or VG10 and spend 1/4 the time sharpening your knife more time using it!

      I ordered the p121 hussar yesterday, then I found this one. the style is very similar ! But I think that the Bestech scimitar is a little more cool. I'm happy to see that I maybe did the best choice with the hussar.

    Free spinning pivot, what does that mean? Or what is the affect of it? Do I have to continually tighten the pivot when I use it?

    • @Zelrick42
      @Zelrick42  6 років тому

      nope nothing like that, it just means that it may be a pain to disassemble. The sleeve side of the pivot is not captured, so that it won't move and has no place to put a driver, so it can spin when you try to adjust the pivot screw. , in the Kendo "What's inside?" Video show some ways to work around it.

    I like the knife but I'm like you, I'm not a big fan of that heavy upsweep on the belly.
