9:00 also I found that zip tieing the fuel line that plugs into the FPR out of the way (to one of the big bolts that the plastic engine cover screws on to) helps keep it out of the way while you get FPR put back on. Then when it's ready you just cut the zip tie and reattach fuel line to FPR and you're golden.

When you are removing torx bits it's good to try and remove them at an even pace (couple turns on left, couple turns on right, etc) to avoid putting any unnecessary strain on the head of the bolt that is further in.
Not absolutely necessary but makes 100 percent sure that you don't face any further complications with such an integral part.
Great video guys enjoyed it a lot!

Just a quick note. There is a drain tube on the passenger side for the fuel bowl. Hook up a hose to it and no fuel in the driveway.

Yeah, good idea, list have to be careful not to break those brittle old drain cock tubes. If we break the drain cock on customers trucks..then we make more problems and more cost....we use the big motor mixing pans for oil changes and everything that drips under the vehicles and just recycle all fluids.

Would you happen to know why my EBP doesn’t change from 29 on my edge monitor. It’s a 02 f350 7.3, has new sensor and tube

Would this make the truck leak diesel? Coming off my bell housing, changed water fuel seperator and fuel line coming off bowl to the passenger side cylinder head

There is a petcock fuel bowl drain valve, with a yellow lever...in the rear of the fuel bowl on the left side, at the 11 o clock position.
      * The seals do dry up on the drain valves and leak..slowly... and then leak enough to make the truck not start. There is a video we did on the drain valve pet cock leaking.
      * Double check the fuel filter bowl gasket..they leak, too. Change the fuel filter and do not over tighten the cap...turn the key over an few times to prime the fuel bowl and then start the truck and check for leaks.

Check all your fuel connections and you should see moisture if they are leaking. The fuel pressure regulator has seals that do leak as well.

@@2guyshow2thefishkingz89 the thing is that the truck runs perfectly, starts up every morning and im up in boston( plugged in of course) so im just stumped on how its leaking but still runs so good

@@johnnyinthehellcat4092 Well, if it's a small leak..not enough air getting into the system, yet. As it gets worse more air will be introduced to the fuel system and start running poorly.
These motors are beasts..I had blown o rings on 2 of my injectors and still drove to Boston and back, the same day...18 hours, I never turned the truck off, because, it would barely start if I turned it off.
      * Clean the engine area one day and dry it off, best you can.
      * Get a good flashlight and start it up watch it run at night..look for the shiny diesel glistening, when the flashlight hits it.
Maybe you will see exactly where it's coming from.
Check everywhere !..fuel bowl gasket..drain valve on fuel bowl..fuel fittings on the metal lines.
Make sure nothing is cross threaded, or slightly loose.
I use OEM parts on most things that will leak, from cheap gaskets and OEM on hard to fix things, o rings, sensors, etc. The cheap crap has gotten even cheaper.
Let me know how it goes.

Cool thanks. Looks pretty simple. Cuz. It really is. I used to work on these 7.3s when i worked at Coyne transpertation 20 years. So. Forgot things. I rode that company to the end thanks to Cintas and. T. C. Jr

It did, but, got worse over time...had a fuel leak from fuel drain on fuel bowl..ran like crap..leaking fuel...fixed that...then checked injectors and the injector seals needed fixed..some were broken o rings..I put new stainless injector cups, while I was in there and new o rings on injectors and runs great, now.
The injector o ring seals will break over time and the oil pressure is what makes the injectors work..pretty easy job.
Fuel pressure might be okay...but, I injector pressure is no good...equals no start.

Where is this pressure regulator on a 6.0 2003 f350 in a standard transmission

    • @2guyshow2thefishkingz89
      @2guyshow2thefishkingz89  Рік тому

      I personally haven't worked on any 6.0 diesel motors..mostly 7.3.
I would assume that it is where your fuel filter is under the hood. Very similar to the 7.3 diesel.
You can go online and type in fuel pressure regulator diagram for 6.0 and for free you can look at where it is.
