Ang alkalinity po kasi mahirap i-reduce but may option Naman diyan para ma reduce yung alkalinity ng lupa sa pamamagitan ng pag acicidify ng nitrogen, iron sulfate or alminum sulfate. Katulad nga ng sinasabi ni doc na, very important talaga na maipa soil analysis yung lupa before tamnan. But, the most recommended option talaga kapag di na kaya ma reduced yung alkalinity ng lupa is dapat katulad din ng sinasabi ni doc na mas mainam na taniman nalang ng mga varieties of crops na alkaline tolerant. Kadalasan Kasi sa alkaline soil area tinatamnan ng mga Nipa which also a good source of income para sa mga magninipa. Tapos may manga crops Naman din na alkaline tolerant katulad ng mga ito: Beans, Cauliflower, Garlic, Kale, Pea, Pumpkin, Spinach, at Tomato.
For acidity naman, the most recommended ay ang paglalagay ng limestone para ma neutralize yung acidity na present doon sa lupa. Pero para sa mga magsasaka na walang budget para ma neutralize yung acidity ng lupa Wala Naman dapat ikabahala dahil my mga crops Naman din na tolerant sa acidity ng lupa ano-ano Naman po ba ang mga crops na ito. Ito po ay yung sumusunod: rice, casava, mango, cashew, citrus, at pineapple.

From a soil doctor, I was expectimg a pinoy version of Dr. Elain Ingham, Dr. Christine Jones, Ray Archuleta, etc. Unfortunately, it was the opposite. He talked about the phyaical properties of soil (clay, sand, silt), nutrients (NPK, etc), chemical properties of soil (soil pH). But he never talked about the biological properties of soil.
My description of him is an expert in Conventional Agriculture.

Sir, upland farm din po ang amin dito sa Masinloc, Zambales, pero ang EGGPLANTS o TALONG, ay mas gusto ng matubig o laging pinapatubigan else, lumiliit po ang mga bunga. Maganda rin po ang AMPALAYA, super lalaki ng bunga sa umpisa pero dahil maraming balang o wild ampalaya, lumiliit din ang mga bunga kc naha hybrid. Advise ko po sa inyo, Sir Buddy, ay mga LAKATAN na tissue cultured dahil medyo mabababa sila at ang DWARF PAPAYA po pwede rin sa upland, the best talaga sa DOWNSLOPE pero dapat before rainy season sila simulan na ipa germinate at nsa Seedling bags na medyo malalaking size para no need na lagyan ng takip pag transfer sa lupa. MALUNGGAY, KAKAWATE at MULLBERRY sa gilid gilid helps protect plants from strong winds.

Kaya Pala May Mga Farmer na Nalulugi Dahil Kulang Sila Sa Kaalaman Kung Ano Ba Ang Crop Na Dapat Na Itanim Sa Lupa
Ano-ano ba ang epekto ng alkalinity sa pananim? Unang una po, marerestrict yung pagsusupply ng tubig sa roots ng halaman, pag sinabing ma rerestrict mahaharangan po yung pag daloy ng tubig sa pag-aabsorb ng roots ng halaman at ang epekto po nito Hindi po makakadevelope ng maayos ang roots ng halaman. Pangalawa, magkakaroon po ng kakulangan sa essential nutrients na need for plant growth katulad ng phosphorus, iron. Hindi po Kasi ma-eextract ng maayos ng halaman yung essential nutrients if mataas ang alkaline ng lupa.
For acidity naman, marereduce po yung availability ng nutrients sa halaman at ma i-increase yung level of toxic elements like aluminum and manganese. Sa stage ng acidity din magkakaroon ng tinatawag na leaching which yung nutrients na dapat maabsorb ng roots ng halaman ay ma-drained lang below the rooting zone. Katulad ng sinasabi ni doc Hindi po tutubo ng maayos ang halaman like magiging bantot, magiging yellow ang dahon at marami pang iba.
Katulad ng sinasabi ko, Hindi Naman po kailangan problemahin ang level of alkalinity and acidity sa lupa Kasi po still marami pong agricultural crops ang tolerant po sa high level of alkalinity and acidity soil.

Kung yun lupa nyo ay Agricultural, palagay ko Landbank lang ang pwede kuha ng loan & use Agri land as collateral. Kung residential, commercial or industrial ang classification pwede nyo po alok sa mga commercial bank. Yun #1 na tignan nila is your ability to repay your loan. Sana maka tulong ito sa inyo.
