Sarah, I was listening to your segment when my husband walked into the kitchen. He said, "You do that (buy experiences)." My son and his girlfriend live in a teeny studio so they don't need STUFF. I bought them gift certificates to their favorite restaurants, San Diego Zoo tickets (best zoo in the world - bring TNL to SoCal!!!), and I'm taking them and my nieces to see a stage performance of Wicked. Nothing to dust or clean, just memories to cherish.
No im sorry, The St Louis Zoo is the best zoo in the world!! Through the 60’s, 70’s, into the 80’s every week “mutual of omahas wild kingdom, with marlin Perkins, Director of the St. Louis Zoo from 1962 to 1985. Maybe the best part of the St Louis Zoo is that entry into the Zoo is free for everyone and anyone!!
I'd like to say thank you to all of you at the Bulwark. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. Thank you for your perspectives and insight. Happy Holidays to all here.
I met my dude 13 years ago when we both worked at a record shop in New Jersey. I was not comfortable combining our collections till the 10 year mark. All record collectors have a story about a lost love that took off with part of their collection.🖤
I got my father a set of 5 remote power outlets (with simple dedicated remote, not an app / smart speaker) for turning stuff like lamps on / off. This time of year he has a bunch of Christmas decorations without switches that he needs to lean down to plug in and unplug.
Magnatiles were the best toys my kids got! They’re 17 and 19 now, long past the magnetiles phases, but for years we just added to their set started as toddlers and they built bigger things as they grew.
Magnatiles are under the tree for the grandkids. One of my grandchildren has some learning issues and his intervention therapist uses these and they are a huge hit. I had to get a big set for the whole family because everyone loves them!!
Awesome ideas Bulwark! Thank you for thinking of us in such unique ways! Stepson lives and plays drums in NOLA..Tipitinas is a favorite! Thank you for always looking out for what we need to know 💝
I want to say thanks to all The Bulwark family for putting 2024 in perspective and helping me maintain a semblance of normalcy in a decidedly abnormal year. For keeping my anxiety level bearable. For the Tim and Sam show, thanks for the laughs ... you two together crack me up. For Will's measured and calm delivery, no matter what the subject matter. Tim, I appreciate your snarky comments ... they're completely justifiable. Happy Holidays.
My favorite gift: Kiva card! Give charity FFS. Kiva's cool because the recipient can choose who to give to (these are actually loans you get repaid and can lend again).
Sonny Burch is so right! I’m always talking about what life was like in the 1970’s. And socks are my favorite gift to receive. Smart wool or LLBean socks are great too. Candles aren’t great for people with allergies or people who like fragrance free products. You can go very wrong with candles. I got a searing migraine from a rosemary scented gift candle once.
@MonaCharen I received a heated mattress pad a couple years ago. It's devine you need to try one. Great for relaxation and arthritis. Merry Christmas 🎄
I loved this! Merry Christmas, y'all. Thanks for fighting the good fight and not keeling over from exhaustion yet. Y'all help keep me from keeling over too. ❤
Logging off and closing UA-cam Account. I will miss you and Sarah the most. You were a light in the darkness for a long time. I guess I finally got to scared after being threatened and hacked on here and FB. Happy Holiday to all you at The Bulwark! Thank you for helping me find a way out of the darkness. Maybe after the first of the year I’ll figure out what I did wrong to be harnessed and spammed. May all of you stay safe and happy as this year draws to a close. I refuse to lose whatever hope I have after the election. Especially Tim after your Thanksgiving Podcast. Crying before that was heart wrenching now it is showing me I’m n deep pain and letting go of this crazy last 10 plus years is the only way to find my way back❤
I'm glad I found your channel so I can see what the Trump-haters are talking about. I pretty much don't agree with you all on anything, but you're very entertaining. and wish you a VERY Merry Christmas.
I appreciate JVLs recommendation. As a lifelong wrestling fan it has been shocking to see all of the disgusting illegal immoral behavior that Vince McMahon has gotten away with because the media treats it like an unserious sideshow unworthy of the protections of the fourth estate
I hate weighted blankets. I don't even like the fake down they're selling these days - makes the comforter too heavy. I know that's an individual thing. Dated a guy who loved multiple heavy cotton quilts on the bed 'cause he felt safe under them. I would feel trapped. (yes, I broke it off. 🙄) I'll check out the darn tuff socks, though, thanks for that.
@@t.k3025 Tried them. What I'm looking for is a smooth toe seam, and even then I turn my socks inside out to avoid the seam rubbing the tops of my toes. I may have to start knitting my own.🧶
My children got Harry & David pears and Mrs. Fields cookies. Grand kids got $$$, which they all appreciate😁 One of my daughters is giving her 3 kids experiences for Christmas. Good one Sara!
call out.. request for.. Tim Miller! this video reminded me: please, one day, when you have the time, check out a New Orleans treasure, DOREEN KETCHENS, clarinet wizard-- who apprently does not need to breathe. or breathes with her soul instead of her lungs. I have been spellbound by her playing just on tinny UA-cam-- but would love to hear a first-hand account of someone who hears her LIVE! Happy New Year wishes for The Bulwark team!
It's Christmas Eve and I still haven't bought any presents, I was TOLD that there would be no gifts this year and I'm over my hosts' house and see all these fucking presents under the tree yesterday and am like WTF???? So irritated.

Those are great gifts.

They are conservatives. Period. They're very literate, though. That makes it worth my time.
Ditto!!❤

So true!
I left my records at my parents when I was married both times. Those are some of the few things my ex husbands didn't take.
Merry Christmas Bulwark Gang. You help keep sane during these crazy times.
I got my father a set of 5 remote power outlets (with simple dedicated remote, not an app / smart speaker) for turning stuff like lamps on / off. This time of year he has a bunch of Christmas decorations without switches that he needs to lean down to plug in and unplug.
Mona is spot on. I do a heated and a weighted blanked all at once. I call it the Panini Press.
I have a heated mattress pad! Better than a blanket!
Have a wonderful holiday season Bulwark team! 🎊🎄🎊🎉 🍾🎅🏼Thanks for all your hard work keeping us informed with the truth 💙
My dad, aka 'The Most Difficult Person to Buy For," loves sardines, so i got him a large selection of sardines from around the world.
I wish I had thought of this weeks ago because my dad loves sardines.
What a cute and unexpected video. So personal, I loved it 🎉!
Merry Christmas to all🎄🎄🎄🎄
Have you seen their 'first jobs' video from Labor Day? Same format and just really nice content (with some surprises)
Totally agree! 🎉❤❤
I always have an electric blanket on deck for the winter. And a backup, in case it dies. A must have!
Magnatiles were the best toys my kids got! They’re 17 and 19 now, long past the magnetiles phases, but for years we just added to their set started as toddlers and they built bigger things as they grew.
Magma Tiles are a great suggestion! Spans all ages; toddlers can play with older siblings or grandparents!
Definitely love my Darn Tough socks. Wore them in the Army -- they come in green.
I love Darn Tough and am wearing a pair now. They are closer to $30.00- $38.00 a pair. Worth it!
Merry Christmas to everyone at the Bulwark. Thanks for keeping me sane this past year
Magnatiles are under the tree for the grandkids. One of my grandchildren has some learning issues and his intervention therapist uses these and they are a huge hit. I had to get a big set for the whole family because everyone loves them!!
Tipitina's record club is such a great recommendation!
Foreign citizenship would be a fine gift!
You know. When America falls apart.
Merriest Christmas from Australia, thank you for your company & sanity
Magnetiles are so fun! Word!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS 🎄 TIM AND TO REST OF THE BULWARK
More Louisiana lore, less DC drama 🙏
Magna-tiles- great rec. My daughter's favorite toy, once upon a time...
Merry Christmas to the Bulwark team !
Awesome ideas Bulwark! Thank you for thinking of us in such unique ways! Stepson lives and plays drums in NOLA..Tipitinas is a favorite!
Thank you for always looking out for what we need to know 💝
We spent NYE at Tipitinas in the early 90s and it was so cool - I think NPR was broadcasting live from there. Glad it's still going strong!

So fun you guys!! Thanks for sharing your gift ideas!
How charming and helpful - you guys are adorable.
Thanks, Jim! Figures an Ohio guy would have the very best idea.

I love how this is a fancy preppers Chrismas ! Love to you all thank you for doing that you did this year .

Christmas gift recommendations the day before Christmas eve...
Your timing is spectacular, as always...
Alright, Mona, AB and Sonny know what time it is. Electric blanket + socks + candle is a winning equation.
I loved this! Merry Christmas, y'all. Thanks for fighting the good fight and not keeling over from exhaustion yet. Y'all help keep me from keeling over too. ❤
Happy holidays Bulwark!!! Love these ideas!
And, sort of random...I think Joe Perticone could have a good side hustle creating ASMR content.😁😄😉😌😴
This was awesome! Wish you had shared this a week ago. 😁

Got my nephew Magnatiles! Great toy.
The oysters/ tin fish are perfect additions for an earthquake kit

fully expected the full text of the Gaetz report to appear on someone's list...
That was McCarthys Xmas gift
MagnaTiles are THE best!
I’m with Perticone on the tinned fish!
I may or may not have spent $50 on socks as a gift.
Thanks for the suggestions. Most can be gifted all year long

Professor Longhair!!!❤ I am a total New Orleansphile!!
Message to AB Soddard: have you seen the Saturday Night Live skit about giving candles at Christmas time? 😂😂
Will Saletan love it! 😅
I started doing Sara's idea several yrs. ago. They seem to be guinely pleased w/ gifts
Great recommendation Tim ❤
Great ideas from everyone! Merry Christmas to you all! Thank you for keeping me sane the last several months!
Thanks for adding the links. My memory sucks. I would need to listen three times to get it all

Thank you, Bulwark!!!
hi bulwark...stay safe and warm...
Thank you Bulwark! Happy Holidays to all.
Thank you all at the Bulwark for all you do. Happy News Year!
As a fellow Jew from Houston; Will that was the most jewish gift ever. Cheap basketball clothes lol. Love it, dont ever change!
Tipatina's is awesome!😊
Just wanted to wish Tim a happy birthday tomorrow! I’m a Christmas baby also! 🎄🎅🏼
Merry Christmas Mr. Miller

Experiences? What does that include?
@@lauradoll4248 For my grandkids it means Planet Photon and a water park in the summer and a trip to California in the summer.
Sarah, so very thoughtful!!!
Is it like Columbia House?
I WAS A MEMBER OF COLUMBIA HOUSE !
I still owe money! 😂
@@kierstenridgway4634 Do they even still exist.
@HVACSoldier I think I'm off the hook! 😆
Love the suggestions! Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all of you! 🎅🤶🎄⛄❄🎁💝
Is the hot butter rum still the best drink when skiing? Happy Holidays team and all the best
My grandkids loved magnatiles. (When they were younger)
You guys are awesome. ❤
I’ve been to that venue many times. Usually to see a wonderful New Orleans based touring band called The Radiators.
Casually referring to Galactic as your friends is quite the subtle little flex.
Merry Xmas . . . gave my records away a very long time ago to a better steward than me. I still miss the sound.
I'd like to know the brand name of the mussels, please. Wasn't mentioned.
Hey, why haven’t you mentioned ambassador Herschel Walker?

Knee pads 😂😂😂
It's a little late for last minute items that you'd probably have to order on-line.
Gross, Joe.
Happy holidays All!
Why didn't JVL recommend his favorite watch from Walmart?
🎄⛄🎇
Unfortunately where I'm staying I'll be enjoying Chinese/Japanese with a gift card
Joe 😅😅😅
I would like you to be Honest Tim please

A Casio watch?? 🤮 Maybe if your gift recipient is 12. 🤣

For Tim and everyone from a Canadian Bulwark+ subscriber 🇨🇦❤️
Candles are crap. Bad plan.
I thought all the Rhinos and commies were buying sour grapes.
MAGA tiles? Cause it sounded like Egger said, MAGA tiles? Also, they look sharp and small enough to swallow.
❤❤❤ Jim Swift is applying for Wheel of Furtune!!! 🫂
Hey, why haven’t you mentioned ambassador Herschel Walker?
