Lavi, don't be so harsh on yourself. You are riding on extreme terrain, on a bike not ideally suited to it, with very limited riding experience. By the end of the adventure, you will both have honed your off road skills to a high standard. Beautiful part of the world. I must get back to Wales next year.
So, about 35 years ago when that railway was called the Welsh Highland railway, I went as a young leader with a bunch of Cub Scouts from Northamptonshire and spent a week there. They'd just got acces to a new section of the old line and we helped with clearing up the line, removing the overgrowth etc. Very glad to see it's still there and running.
OMG, well done Lavi. I know you don’t feel like it but we can see your skills are getting better every day. Beautiful water falls. I love the mountains and carrot cake 👍
It's always nice to wake up to the sun after a period of rain, especially on a bike trip! I can relate to the soggy feeling as I go absolutely soaked riding at work yesterday and today will be exactly the same. If I go into a Lidl in the UK I'm going to think of you guys! 🤣 That's so cool that you timed it to see the train. That V-Strom rider must be a Mad Dog! 😂 That trail looked so nice and relaxing... until it wasn't! I'm not a fan of that technical stuff, well done on getting through that! You wouldn't have gotten up that so lucky you were going in that direction. The reward was a pleasant picnic spot and the views afterwards. What a lovely part of the UK. A stunning area! Another great video guys. Loved it!
I love that area. You need to do the Dragon Rally next year (February). Another test for you winter camping. You seem to have mastered the water crossings and rocky roads.
I know that path it’s my local mountain bike route it’s fab as it’s in my back yard Snowdonia is my playground I’m lucky to live here guys lavi you are doing bloody brilliant my wife is so amazed at what your doing for someone who has just passed her test keep it up both
Some boats would be proud of the bow waves you're creating through the puddles! That rocky descent was CRAZY!! I'd have been in a right mess on my bike! You pretty much needed trials bikes.
Hello both of you. Lavi. That fall was scary I am so glad that you did not hit your head on that rock, Glad you are ok. That rock stair case was very steep and you did well To be scared is ok Start believing in your self that you can ride a bike anywhere. Great video the roads are not bad to ride, but the views are fantastic. Where you stopped for lunch was wonderful, the greenery, the water fall just behind you. Thank you for you video. Wish You Well.
Glad you two are having a stay in a warm dry room to get your kit dry. What a slog the TET is and you are both doing great. Your hair is growing really quickly Lavi, it must be all that fresh air! 😂✌🏍All the best. John & Penny ' Old and Alive' Riders.
Hola L&O, What a beautiful ride, but damn, so incredibly difficult. That first waterfall area is stunning! You should both be proud of yourselves because so far, this whole trail has been tough. I can see the improvement with each passing episode. I loved the Ugly Cottage Cafe! It was not ugly at all. Safe and happy travels, see you in the next one. Happy and alive! Lots of love, Sue ❤❤❤
Pleased you’re enjoying north Wales, I spend 90% of my riding in NW just an amazing country, you doing really well on the trails young lady , excellent video too. Graham
The welsh travel board should be paying you guys , your a great advertisement to visit wales. I never knew it was so beautiful. Really enjoying the this welsh travel route. 😊
Excellent story once again guys, I knew you’d love snowdonia, it is one of my favourite places…. Perhaps consider a winter two up tour, it will be deserted, but I recommend dry accommodation, not camping 😉🤪. Doh !
Do you guys ever argue ? 😅 I don't think ive ever seen a couple who are so nice all the time me. Well done. 🤘 You guys are admirable for that alone never mind the riding.
Ahh I was riding all around there last week, strictly on road though, Pen-y-Pass is one of my favourite roads in Wales! Glad you caught some decent weather. I was lucky enough to have summer jacket weather and temperatures. Some of that terrain I would have had second thoughts on my mountain bike, well done for persevering with it.
Hi guys, not sure if somebody told you before. On loose or steep down hills a great techniques is to turn off your engine, have both feet down and use the clutch / engine for breaking. This way you have a rear brake and both feet down. Might be worth a try. But you guys are doing amazing on pretty soft core bikes. Greetings AndyB
Guys. This was so nostalgic for me . I use to run yhe health abd safety f9r the 3 mounrains challenge, ben nevis. Scotlabd, Scarfel, England and snowdon. I have now lived in Europe for the past 25 years. And to be honest I miss wales so much. So Thank you. Oh and i kataked swollow falls. One of the few to do it😅
You two are doing great. Maybe, Once this adventure is completed you look into Off-Road Enduro lessons like Itch Boots completed, actually she did twice. You will get a lot out of it since you will have so much real-life experience to recall during the training. P.S. I have to add Lavi that you are handling the smother trail and the tarmac like a boss. Excellent Cool 😎
You two are officially mad! riding over all those rocks 🪨, you have alot more nerve than I do, and there is no way I could do what you are, even with 50 years of continuous riding, but all on tarmac, and my old bones hitting those rocks, doesn't bare thinking about, I applaud 👏 👏 you both. Your videos are so entertaining, But please take care, Best wishes Roy 😊❤👍.
Barton Motors (Caernarfon) Ltd Built the silver dream machine . In the late 1970’s some of the most powerful racing motorcycles were built in an isolated chapel in Caernarvonshire. From the Nazareth chapel in Pontrug , Barton Motors produced some very interesting large capacity two-stroke racing motorcycles.
Good vid. Glad you went to the Ugly House. I've seen it for many years on Pinterest and Wikipedia. It is commonly called the HYLL HOUSE. after some relatives. Old place. Now I now where it is located. Nomad Mountain Man's relatives. All good from east Kentucky USA Next time
Granny traced one of the branches of our Welsh family tree that she thought led to someone who rode with Billy the Kid in the US. I follow rue Pullman here in Montréal all the time and I thought it was because Canadian Car & Foundry built Pullman railcars on this street. It was actually because the national railway had a yard on this street that used these American and European wagons. I think I've seen that type of locomotive in Africa. May be good at tight corners or traction or something.
Ollie you’re a good teacher . Wish you both safe riding , do not have time now but next I will move back to Europe for good and hope I can meet up with you two sometime .
You both need lessons to learn off road techniques like steep down hills if you must put your feet down kill the engine put it in gear and use you clutch as a back brake.
Shame you missed Model Bakery in Blaenau Ffestiniog owned by a rocket scientist from Kurdistan(as seen on hairy bikers) and you also past the house that laurence of arabia live at just outside Porthmadog.

Also that down ill section is about the limit for most people outside of the hardcore hard enduro riders. So you should be proud you're getting thru.

Theyre learning on the job. Fantastic tip by the way
Was going to suggest the same thing.
Thanks for the advice ☺️
Falling off, falling over and dropping your bike is all part of serious off road trail riding, its not road riding. Relax and dont worry about it 😂
