I feel like our Nagaland Ecosystem is totally upside down now and foodchains disrupted drastically.With people destroying forest the natural habitat of wild Animals and hunting down all animals,where would this poor wild cats goes? They don’t have shelter to live or food to eat.Obviously they will come for humans habitations.This deforestation and hunting in our culture should be stopped 100%.Gone are the days of old cultural and traditional hunting.We r now living in a critical period.If not now then Never.
Yes , Dr.Michael has said the reason , we Nagas have wrong mindset for hunting wild animals although we know that killing animals/birds and destroying jungles/forests are bad for our ecological balance which is a theat for our future environment . Who says human life isn't important but what about the damage we humans are doing to our own rich and diverse forest and it's inhabitants?We present day generations are killing and hunting every bird and living thing that our eyes see,creating an ecological imbalance in our lives and our land,which in return is forcing the wild animals to seek for refuge and food beyond their habitats and often endangering us and themselves too,since our forest dept. isn't well equipped and well prepped to tackle such occurances and they end up killing them to save our human lives,while they could have better yet just tranquilized as the Vet said,but we lack knowledge and resources too.Interviews like this only educates the whole as social medias is the fastest transmission of news at present.. I wish and hope us human beings start acting like one and better yet,start to see where our actions and consequences will land us someday,which won't be a pleasant sight to see,I bet. Peace.
It is not about innocent animals like birds or fish but we should reduce the number of dangerous animals that can harm human life. Human life is more valuable than animal.
We shouldn't hunt or deforest anymore. Animals were habitating the Earth before we humans did (both biblically and scientifically). Some of my stupid friends also shoot at birds which I always try to stop. Most humans hunt for timepass or as sport but animals r just satisfying their hunger n thirst. It's their basic right which we humans shouldn't n can't deprive them of. Stict laws must be implemented for loggers n hunters.
