For the top line measure under your knee where you want the leg warmer to start. Then add 3 inches to that number to give room to slide it around your heel when putting it on. For the height, measure how tall you want it on your leg. For the bottom line I measured around my foot with my platform shoe on so I know it would fit around my big platforms. But you can make it less wide if you don’t wear platform shoes.🖤🖤
prepping for a rave this weekend nd wanted 2 make legwarmers . i havent used a sewing machine in like 11 yrz nd made my last top for a rave by completely handstitching it 😭 this is vv easy to follow , even the more "advanced" version w/ the lining ,, tysm !! ur a lifesaver :3
Thank you for the version with the lining. Im adding some battery powered lights inside mine so they need the second layer for comfort and a battery pack pocket! Wish me luck!
bruh thank you for not fucking around and getting straight to business!!! this is an amazingly easy to follow yet in depth tutorial and, i cannot thank you enough for sharing your technique (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ) edit: you look sick as fuckkkk in the last shot with the moon over your shoulder ;--;
hi! this is a great tutorial, tysm for making it!! im looking to create a striped pair using separate pieces of red and white faux fur. would you advise sewing my coloured strips of faux fur together before cutting the trapezoid out?
I messed up on the width so I had to go in and make my top line wider and I connected that to the bottom line. Then I added 1/2 inch seam allowance to the sides.
I sewed the elastic using a narrow zig zag stitch on my regular sewing machine and I pulled the elastic as I sewed to match up with the leg warmer. Then I tuck the elastic inside and added the lining right sides together and sewed along the same line I used to sew the elastic. Then turn everything to the right side.
Where did you get your measurements from

So For the platform boot do you also add three to that? How wide should I make it?

@@day6superfan thank you for watching!💚💚 yes, I would sew the strips together into 2 large squares first then cut each leg warmer out.

Thank you for the tutorial and your skirt looks so pretty!! I have to ask, did you make it yourself?
Thank you, yes I did❤️
Y loved it but I don’t understand the last line you did, because you let two space’s
I messed up on the width so I had to go in and make my top line wider and I connected that to the bottom line. Then I added 1/2 inch seam allowance to the sides.
You didnt sew the sole or down part ????
How to sew lining with enclosed elastic band?
What was the width of elastic used for the simple method?
1.5 inch width
How did you sew the elastic and lining?
I sewed the elastic using a narrow zig zag stitch on my regular sewing machine and I pulled the elastic as I sewed to match up with the leg warmer. Then I tuck the elastic inside and added the lining right sides together and sewed along the same line I used to sew the elastic. Then turn everything to the right side.
What kind of fabric is the lining ?
I mean if it stretches
100% cotton with no stretch. The faux fur also has no stretch to it.
Do you have to add the lining?
You don’t have to add a lining I only recommend it if the inside of the faux fur irritates your skin.
@@Jewelivy okay thank you!!
👍👍👍👍👍👍😻😻😻😻😻 💋 💋 💯💯👋👋
my sewing machine can't take the faux fur LOL
I would try hand sewing with a basic stitch and you can make the stitches long so it won’t take a lot of time to do
