- Mark Zeigler Yacht Sales currently has for sale a very special listing for those looking to tackle the Great Loop. This 2002 Sea Ray 480 Motor Yacht recently crossed her wake and is ready to do it all over again! Buying a yacht that has completed the loop is the easiest way to put at ease any concerns you may have about a boats size, height, range, or just in general liveaboard space onboard.
This particular example has less than 2200 hours on the clock, is powered by twin 635hp Cummins QSM11-M diesels, and has everything you could possibly need included. This ranges from the 12.5kw generator, to air conditioning in 6 self contained zones, full electronics, bow thruster, RIB on the bathing platform, and so much more!!
You can find the details of this boat on Mark's website at www.mzyachts.com
I hope you enjoy this video!

That engine room looked immaculate for a 22 year old boat! Actually, the interior was likewise impeccably maintained. Whoever picked this up for $220k got a lot for the money. Hope they enjoy doing the loop again and again.
I agree 100%. I need to try and track down where she is now as it's no longer on the spot I filmed her at.
I believe this designed is sometimes called flush deck. Chris Craft had a similar design back in the early 70’s. I really like this design.
I believe you are correct. I liked this design, and it's not what I expected when asked to come film a Sea Ray. I wonder where this one is now that she's sold 🤔
That would be a great boat to take three or four weeks and go down through the keys. It's a shame Sea Ray stopped building the bigger yachts. They are very quality built boat.
She would be perfect for that! It's like having the liveaboard space of a trawler, but the performance of a sports cruiser. I totally get the appeal in this one, and I wouldn't be surprised she sells quickly 😉
You could pass everything but a fuel pier.
One of the best layouts I have seen on a Sea Ray. Very nice. Thanks for the video!!
It's not the boat I think of when someone says Sea Ray, but it's arguably one of the best examples I've seen. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 🙂
The 250 range on 500 gallons, I believe, is if you are going above hull speed. I think that boats like this at around 10mph would get closer to 0.8mpg, making the range much higher. In fact, one article I read said that full speed (nearly 30mph) burned 62 gal/hour... which is near the 250 mile range.
Yes,I agree,I built them for 10 + years, and also was an inspector on the same boat line. Quite a good price on this vessel!!!!
Thanks Robert, and surprisingly not many examples on the market
Great video. I can’t remember the last time that I actually watched a boat video from start to finish.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! This sort of feedback means a lot!! 🤠
Thank you for sharing a great looking yacht. The owner's cabin is very nice looking with the separate shower and head! There is a great looking kitchen area with the frig and microwave there for you to have many meals. Looking nice down in the engine room as well.
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for taking the time to comment as well
@@GarnockReviews You are welcome. I appreciate good touring people from different yachting stores and communities to educate me about boats and yachts.
That is a beautiful vessel nice layout. I love the way you describe each and everything on about that boat. I’m watching you from Alberta Canada 🇨🇦
Thanks, Kevin. I appreciate the support and am glad you enjoyed it 👍
Hi Garnock Reviews, This is a beautiful yacht from Sea Ray this 480 looks great like a Broom or a Dutch build yacht with the aft cabine but also with the salon and galley and dinning great a really nice yacht for the big loop thanks again it is a very nice show 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Manuel, I remember the Broom yachts and I agree. I don't recall them having as much hp as this one though, but similar lay out for sure.
Thank you! I am sorry to hear about your health struggles, but hope you are on the mend. Good luck with your UA-cam channel. Look for channels including Think Media and Nick Nimmin, they will give you lots of tips for getting off the ground 😉
Great tour of the boat. I watch a lot of these and most people can't speak, say stupid things, and repeat themselves over and over. Incredible boat, out of my range at this time.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I filmed another liveaboard cruiser today that should be on the channel next week some time. Might be out of our budgets, but we can but dream 😁
@GarnockReviews Very nice. I will check it out for sure
Loved it, looking at more of them, loopable ❤
Thanks Roger, glad you are enjoying my channel 😎
What an amazing set up! I will have one of these one day.
This boat totally changed my mind when I got onboard. I wasn't expecting such a capable and comfortable liveaboard cruiser, especially for its size. 2 steps inside, and I was sold! I'd gladly do the loop in this one if I had the time and money 😎
Beautiful boat and great layout. I was shocked by the 250 range on 500 gallons.
I am sure it would do better under 10 knots. It takes a lot of fuel keeping a 50 foot boat on plane.
@@josephkordinak1591 once on plane, there is less wetted surface and drag.
Hull speed is the most efficient speed if range is your goal and time is your friend.
What a lovely boat.
A great boat whether you want a weekend away, or tackle the Great Loop.
Nice video. Looks like a new boat.
Thank you, this boat impressed me as well 😉
Super super super. Thanks.
Great video. Thank you.
Thanks Peter. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm working on final edits for another Great Loop liveaboard and should be on my channel over the weekend hopefully 😉
Formidable 👍🏻🛳⚓️👌🏼Très Très jolie 👏🏼💐👏🏼
It’s good to see you back.
Glad to be back 😁
I was amazed we're both from Holland go Dutch
Vey clean yacht, easily top 5 % for overall maintenance. It showed right away on the gel coat ,, There's and art to exterior Maintenance and its not cheap. They spend the right money to show a clean engine room as well with the replaced hoses etc and freshly painted. HAs it sold ?
I agree 100%. Even keeping her in under cover storage adds up over time. Last I knew, she was still for sale, but I haven't spoken to Mark for a week or 2.
What about the washer and dryer
Great re new , great job
Thank you 🤠
Nice vessel
Thanks for watching Gizmo! This would make a great family cruiser with all that accommodation onboard 🤠
250 miles out of 500gallons of fuel is to rich for my limited budget, lol
we’re $6.49 a gallon over here.
There's some things I miss about living in Scotland.......fuel prices isn't on that list 🤪
Is this boat still available?
Did I miss the washer / dryer or does this boat now have one?
The last I knew, this one was still for sale. Here is the Yachtworld listing with the pics and spec etc www.yachtworld.com/yacht/2002-sea-ray-480-motor-yacht-8729840/
You said you would leave a link for this boat????
Hey Lawrence, this one is still for sale on Mark's website at www.mzyachts.com/51searay480motoryacht2002
@@GarnockReviews thank you sir for your response! God bless
Why do they put a sink in the master cabin?? It's so tacky. It reminds me of my garage apartment in college.
Check that fresh water tankage; 150 gal seems light. I would have guessed 500
no way a boat that size would have a fresh water tank that big.
The great days when Sea Ray built real boats.
You serious ? A sea ray is a sea ray, not good. Call it a bay liner !
@@Angelo-fo8de Sea Ray does not make larger cabin cruisers or yachts any more. The wood work and craftsmanship were great in these old boats.
Is this boat still for sale
Last I knew she was. I'd recommend giving the broker a call and check with them directly 😉
Cost you 6k Boston’s to Daytona? Ouch.
How much you earn from youtube sir? Iam big fan of you're videos plz reply? Iam also cretor 🙋♂️😍
Specs?
You should be able to get the specs and pics on Mark's website at mzyachts.com
it would be more easy to understand if you talked slower
Yeah id have to work untill im 120 to pay for that, and not eat untill its payed for! No problem....
Asking to much in today's economy
Hypothetically speaking, if you were to make an offer, what do you think this one is worth? 🤔
PLEASE stop calling them “ropes”! They’re LINES!
