Alia thank you so much for sharing this recepie!!!!! My husband us from morocco and with the begining of ramadan im gone prepare him most of ur recepies :))) thank u ur amazing!!!!! Happy Ramadan for everybody!!
Hi Alia i like Harira bcz in 2013 in Ramadan i went to Maroco with my Marocan fiend her family was cooking Harira every day this is really Ramadan speciality
salam alia. I am an American married to a Moroccan and I absolutely love harira. Although we are Muslim we do not use pork (commenting on earlier posts because it is haram), I actually do not use meat. I also cook the harira with vermicelli. I have learned a lot from you. Choukran Alia. I will continue to use your recipes inchallah ;-D
Shoukran sister Alia for all your videos, whenever i want to cook something i always use your recipes.. i missed ramadan in Morocco it has been 21 years since i had my last ramadan back home :(...
thank you so much Alia , this is just perfect !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my daughter and husband had my mothers ( 80 yeas old now ) one and told me that they couln't make the difference !!!!!! many many thanks
Made this tonight with ground beef. It turned out wonderful. I did use canned chickpeas like you did (but I did remove all the skins before adding it to the soup). The soup is very fragrant with all the spices. Ramadan Mubarak! :)
Thanks, Alia! By the way, the best flavor of cilantro (i.e., coriander greens) is in the stems. Try using them finely minced. Actually, cilantro roots are even more flavorful.
a oui! c'est la vrai Harira du Maroc. J'ai grandi a Casa, Maroc et c'est ma soupe preferee... Je dirai meme plus. C'est mon plat prefere! Merci de tout coeur.
Ramadan Mabrouk Alia. My Husband is From Oudzem, Morocco and Yesterday I made Your GrandMother's Harira for Iftar. It was a big hit. Just love all your recipes. We will be in Morocco for the last 10 days of Ramadan. Alhamdelilah Alia!! Thank-you for such great recipes.
hi Alia, thank u so much for ur recipes. I made this multiple times this Ramadan and each time it turned out amazing. The only thing I didnt do is to add the egg just because this is how my husband like it. thnx a lot again.
Just a tip..for better tomato peeling. First cut the tomato crossed in ,after you gave the tomatos a hot water bath put them in cold water. After it you will see that the skin will come off very easy and almost by itself.
in the "About" section underneath the video there is a link to the written recipe with all the ingredients and steps. 4.5 oz (125 grams) beef or lamb meat (cut into small cubes) Spices: 1 teaspoon salt (to be adjusted during cooking), 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, a pinch of saffron (optional), and 1 cinnamon stick
I have seen the soup thickened with adding extra potatoes and then when they are cooked some are removed and mashed and then added back to the soup to thicken it. This is helpful for gluten-free people. Excellent soup, very healing and healthy.
Its so lovely to come back and see some of your earlier videos before you became a worldwide star. Will you ever be coming to the UK in the future Alia? I would love to see you cooking in a live show. Regards to you and your family for Ramadaan.
Hello. Thank you for your videos and work. Today I found your great channel, fall in love and cooked Harira. Its ready now and it taste yummy. So, thank you for your inspiration. Many greetings from Germany. :-)
In the U.S. cilantro is fresh (green leaves) and coriander is the dried version of it, or the seeds of it (coriander seeds). so that's the difference here in the U.S. I also believe that the U.K. calls the fresh version of it coriander.
no - you can not put cinnamon powder. the stick gives a light flavor - the powder is going to kill it. just skip the cinnamon stick if you do not have it. never replace it with the power.
In Pakistan we made haleem which is same like harira but we don't add tomatoes and we add all types of lentils and wheat also..that's also taste delicious
Hi alia ramadan mubarek I do the ingredients such as the tomatoes onions and the celery in the blender as the basis of the hrirra. and finally only the egg no flour. nice to see how you make it different. from which city in Morocco do you come from I come from tetouan . greetings from the Netherlands
Mudar para português good afternoon! You could suggest a menu with starter, main course and dessert, plus an aperitif drink for a Moroccan dinner that I will do here at home? It will be next week, lol. I'm from Brazil and I really admire your channel. Thank you!
