      @@ResinAsYouWish it so is!
      I am enjoying my artistic side more than ever before.
      I just did my first ever Z Gallery inspired painting I have wanted to do my entire life and never felt capable, and a lady on UA-cam made me think I could do it. I am in awe of myself lol.
      The resin and how it goes into so many other mediums is amazing.
      I am excited to try what you showed, I need to watch again to take notes, lol, the phosphorescent green is out of stock as are any good whites that i have been searching for.
      Lol. I spoke with one dealer who has a good one and hope to order a new white next week.
      Your ways are different tho, and I will try your techniques first! I am sooo excited. Thanks for sharing and replying!

    WOW... NEXT LEVEL WAVES . Christy you take these waves to the next level!! So many tutorials on waves but yours come out so beautiful and it’s definitely because you take the time and do all your projects over days and not rush to get done in one sitting. And your craftsmanship shows in EVERY project you post! I’m a huge fan of all you do. 😘❤️?.. is anything on the q-tip like silicone oil or alcohol to stop the resin from going over those waves or is it slightly tilted?

    • @ResinAsYouWish
      @ResinAsYouWish  4 роки тому +1

      It's just a plain ole q-tip - I didn't have the coaster tilted, but there have been times when I used too much resin on this layer an😍d I had to tilt it because it all wanted to sink to the beach 😜 NOTE: I have gotten q-tip hair stuck in the waves before because I let the resin set up too long before I defined the wave - if that happens, use your finger and a napkin or spatula - as long as the resin is soft you can draw out the wave if it goes down too far.
      Thank you for all your encouragement and kind words! I love doing these but am still new to UA-cam, the comments are really helpful!

    • @ResinAsYouWish
      @ResinAsYouWish  2 роки тому +1

      Hi, the cost of the resin is probably the most expensive, I list all items used in the video - so once you have all the paints, and equipment, it's just down to the resin and the time it takes to make the coasters. The project takes about a week. I sell these on Etsy for $40 each (this is a large coaster)

    • @ResinAsYouWish
      @ResinAsYouWish  3 роки тому

      Hi, the video description has the entire list and links to everything I use in the video - I use 3oz cups to mix the color, 1 oz of resin mixed with a dime size bead of the paints/colors. The amount of paint used to color the resin shouldn’t be more than 2% of the amount of resin in your color cup. If the color your mix ends up transparent- add more color, or if it ends up too thick add more resin… sometimes you have to play with it a little

      I don’t work with UV resin, so I’m not sure how the resin would react to blowing heat. But you could definitely do layers. If you want it to be used as a coaster I do not recommend UV resin because it would get dull with use fairly quickly - it would be fine as art or trivet
