    Thanks Ed. Trying to get my head around improvising very hard when you’re 78 and never played an instrument in my life you are a master at it I’m going to have a few private lessons with you when I finish what I’m on at the moment. Thanks again

    Atm I'm trying to lock a few scales into my muscle memory because I've seen that the patterns of all or part of those are endless.

    I can hear the difference when you go to the B. But I dont understand what you mean "going to the B" Please explain in layman's terms?

    • @TheHarmonicaBarge
      @TheHarmonicaBarge  2 місяці тому

      The B is simply a variation in the pattern. For example if I repeat the same pattern 3 times, I can call this A A A . But if I then vary the pattern the 4th time I can call the variation the B. So I end up with A A A B. It's just a simple way to organise patterns. Hope this helps.

    you might even say: "repetition legitimizes"

    Ed, when you are going over the part C at about 6 minutes in, you play some very Cajun sounding splits. I believe the first one is the 37 draw and the third and fourth splits are the 36 blow and 25 blow, but I'm not sure of the second split. Is it a 26 draw? It sounds a bit discordant (in a good way) but am I missing something? Thanks

      Hey that's a great question, I sometimes play a 3**6 draw split on the way down but even better if you can get it is a 3**6 draw. See my Duck's Blood Breakdown lesson for this :)
