#Underdogs
I think Jordan has the special ability to always make me smile. He’s so wholesome and only gives me more reasons as to why he’s my favorite Underdog.
He’s also the sexiest underdog

I absolutely love how Poppts intelligence constantly whips around from high to low in these podcast s
Integer overflow
I think Poppt’s “Isn’t Christmas it’s own religion?” question is surprisingly deep and honestly a valid argument.
I thought it was a completely valid question they need to revisit
As a Christian, I can actually get behind this, but probably from a very different perspective
This comment is cringe
I want more Zach grippers
Peter's outfit is golden. Just undo the top button coz it makes it look like you have no neck 🫡
You have to button the top button if you are wearing a bowtie or tie
Literally just because he is sitting
As a first year politics, philosophy and economics student, this podcast has taught me everything I could ever need to know
Gravitational force = GMm/(r^2)
Centripetal force (which makes things orbit) = m(v^2)/r
When you set these 2 expressions equal to each other, the small m, the mass of the object which is orbiting, cancels out.
The resultant expression is GM/(v^2) = r, which indicates that the radius at which an object is orbital tangentially to the central body is related by the inverse square to the velocity of the orbiting body. The velocity and radius are determined specifically by G, the gravitational constant, and M, the mass of the body which is being orbited (for instance, Earth).
Damn your cooking so hard keep it up

Regarding Poppt1's Question of the Week and their confusion:
1. Throwing garbage into space is impractical because of how expensive it is to launch something.
2. Peter is right about the junk orbiting Earth, but Jackson is also right about how mass is important in determining gravitational forces. The compartments that rockets eject as they go in deep space does not actually stay in orbit because of their mass. They either fall down to Earth again towards the oceans and the scientists collect them, or they burn up as they speed towards the ground (China actually had a controversy regarding their rocket devris landing on land which is a risk to life; see Long March 3B rocket debris).
i know this stuff because I also had the same question for years and decided to look up the answer last year, but disclaimer: I'm not an expert. Feel free to point out my mistakes
i am sick rn and ur content really helps me. thanks for that :)

YOOO MORE PODCAST!
39:25 I must say I'm not nearly as much of a fan of bluur and zou as much as I was of shmeck and gluck if I'm remembering correctly. Jackson got it right the first time; no need for Peter's arbitrary changes to the already perfect new numbers given to us by the benevolent Jackson
Jordan’s prestige joke went under the radar and I died crackin up at that shii😂😂
when was it ?
22:16 but I don’t get the joke
@@amirPentonthe joke is that in competitive shooter games, when you hit the max level, you can reset it and have "prestige". Like, you're level 1 prestige 1
gotta love it when they make the chatGPT write their script.
This podcast was LOADED with big discussions. Absolutely loved this one XD
Honestly that was the best rap I’ve heard in a minute. Props to Zack for that.
Edit: Didnt hear Peter’s yet when I posted that. Both fire 🔥
Hop: “There is no ethical consumption under capitalism.”
Zack: “My religion is money.”
40:10 binary is base 2! (I’m sure others have mentioned this by now)
Base 1 is a tally system, counting is literally 1, 11, 111, 1111, etc.
Binary is base 2 because there are two digits: 1 and 0. So counting is 1, 10, 11, 100, etc.
Compared to base 1, binary is very compact! 64 in base 1 is 64 tally marks; in binary it’s 1000000. Just wanted to make this very important distinction
Genuinely one of the best pods
First year physics student here. Peter is right. When talking about a significantly smaller object in a stable orbit around a significantly larger object in vacuum, the mass of the small orbiting object doesn't influence the orbit. What matters in this case are the velocity of the smaller object, it's acceleration towards the larger object, and the shape of the orbit. The velocity is always pointing straight towards the direction of movement, and thus "wants to spin you out of your never ending turn" if you will. This is prevented by the acceleration redirecting it's movement towards the center. Each orbit has it's own combinations of velocity and acceleration that keep that orbit stable.
However, forces do influence the acceleration of the smaller object, and could thus destabilize the orbit. The acceleration of the smaller object is determined by the sum of all forces on it, divided by the mass of the smaller object. Here we're talking about a situation where pretty much the only force on the smaller object is the gravitational force from the larger object it's orbiting. Jackson is right that this force is dependent on the mass of the small object, but because of that the acceleration of the small object will not dependent on this mass, as we divide it away. Because of this, in our situation the acceleration of the small object will be dependent only on the mass of the larger object and the distance between the objects squared.
This is also why Peter said that for each distance between the objects there is a certain velocity to maintain that orbit. If the shape of the orbit, and where in the orbit we are, and the mass of the large center object are determined, the only variables are the distance between the objects and the velocity of the small object, thus those have to coincide to have a stable orbit.
P.S. Instrumental in this is that the orbiting object is significantly smaller than the object around which it orbits.
Edit: the falling objects thing is indeed another example of this cancelling out of masses. The force of gravity is determined by constant 'g' multiplied by the mass of the falling object. If there is no air resistance this gravitational force is pretty much the same as the sum of all forces on the falling object. Then we divide the sum of forces by the mass of the falling object to get it's acceleration, which will thus be 'g' regardless of mass. As soon as you get air resistance (or other forces, for example a strong magnetic pull) involved, objects don't fall at the same rate anymore.
Bruh the mammoth bit at the end is actually top-tier
It worries me how quickly Peter said, "Underdogs orgy"
Zack’s final shoot the sheriff question was a great callback. I love those types of questions where the answer is staring you right in the face… if you take the time to listen to the question
best podcast so far
Jordan flexin with da medium house 😭 won funniest underdog yet again in unbelievable speed
NEW PODCAST LETS GOOOOOOO
Fun fact: You cannot "shoot" trash into orbit. You need a second propulsion in space to get anything to orbit :D
Let’s go! Hoo Hoo Hoo 🦍!
Hoo 🦍🦍🦍
54:20 Jordan just outlined the plot for one of Futurama's great episodes
Not me actually doing the 13x28 in my head only to realize it was a callback to the fucking 13 months with 364 days idea
Side note: I will be declaring myself the winner of this Shoot the Sheriff for coming up with the answer before Jordan thank you thank you your applause is very much appreciated
I already watched this on the patreon but its so good i just have to watch it twice
That jumpcut at the end jumpscared me
Love when the underdogs talk about physics it’s soooo funny
Jordan when the atmosphere is completely destroyed by the burning of trash 🙀
Zack discovering homophones when all of his humour is based on puns is hilarious
I’m so good at meditation that when I started I literally started levitating, summoned a demon, made serial and fell asleep at the same time, although it might have just been a hallucination from lack of zebras
Great podcast as always!
I swear they’ve had the zack money religion conversation before
LETS FUCKING GOOOOO PODCAST
I don't know how they can enforce it on this scale, but according to the EULA you can only use your own voice with the voice generator AI.
This is probably the most unhinged, most inaccurate, least sensible episode of that podcast ever, and I'm all for it lmao
Though I will say, having a background of math and physics, some of these really hurt haha
Peters neck disappeared
I am happy to announce I will be running for the office of Governor of America under little z’s zackitalistic reign
The dodo thing at the end reminded me of the animal crossing airline

"Gravity is a force which tries to pull two objects toward each other. Anything which has mass also has a gravitational pull. The more massive an object is, the stronger its gravitational pull is."
...
Source - Cool Cosmos a NASA education and outreach website for infrared astronomy and related topics.
So i think Jackson had a point, and i think Hopcat was confused on this point. This means as long as something has mass, it has a gravitational pull. This includes planets, stars, pieces of dust, and even people. Everything that has mass exerts a gravitational pull on other pieces of mass. It is often times so miniscule however that it doesn't have an important effect.
It's really quite interesting. I think it would be super fun to get a physicist to come on the pod. Answer all Jordan's questions.
only 28 more to go before hop goes off on mormons
Can't wait for the Rap segment at 43:48 to be an underdogs short video release
17:46 THAT WAS ME WHO SAID THAT :D
“probably don’t go to h*ll either”
i spat
Sad too see Zacks grippers aren't showing this time around :( do like Jordan and let them scrumptious grippers free 😋
I would suggest to Peter to read/watch Good Omens for an end of the world comedy
Lowkey love the 13 month plan
Wow, there was an edit in this one? Is that a podcast first?
Wow Jordan was so close to that last shoot thr sheriff answer. It wa 364 he said 374 thats crazy! I used a quick calculator but doing that mentally fairly quickly is awesome,
So while I doubt they’ll read this, I’ll give the underdogs the quick Christianity rundown.
- Jesus definitely existed as a person. The debate is whether he was who he claimed he was. Who did he claim he was? He claimed he was the son of God. However that’s a little misleading, as the Jesus is also God. So he is both God and also God’s son. So when he prays to God he’s praying to himself. It’s a paradox basically.
- God didn’t “kill” his son. He allowed the people to kill him. It says in the Bible that when they are killing Jesus, God doesn’t watch out of rage and is about to kill everyone in the city. That’s when Jesus says “forgive them father, they don’t know what they do.”
- The Christian prediction of the future is called revelation, and it was a vision that God showed to John(I think?). And yes that is quite wacky.
BANG!
why was ther a cut at 41:43
Peter is right the mass of the object doesn’t matter in a vacuum like space. It’s the same thing as when they dropped a feather and a bowling ball on the moon they landed at the same time
zack reinventing social credit
You don't have to agree with an artists opinion to enjoy the art, fellas
The answer to 13 x 28 was 364 which would have been the perfect way to bring the conversation full circle because zack’s 13 month year idea had 364 days in a year
When they actually decide to update the playlist
There isn’t a word limit high enough in this comment box to explain all the things they miss about understanding religion, and it wouldn’t matter because even if a religious scholar came and took the whole podcast explaining different religions, they would just be like “well ok. Still don’t believe it tho lol” 😂
To partially answer Jordan’s question, Europe does incinerate a lot of its trash. The US doesn’t do so as much, but we are trying to do it. It’s considered better than landfills.
Edit: It’s not done in volcanoes, though
The beat so fire it carries the shit lyrics lmao.
woah im listening to the talk about space junk while playing through the space junk galaxy in super mario galaxy. crazy
They’re respawning mammoths 🦣😂 that was gold.
Finally know why hopcat was so snazzy
I love the thumb nail😊
What's the website or app with the AI called?
Holy shit, HopCat looking like Stephen Hawking except when he wasn't confined to a wheelchair!
51:15 sounds like a Steven universe episode to me

WHAT???
Can we please get another rap segment for jordan and jackson?
Binary is base 2 ':D
i think jordan has been watching some thoughty2. the whole dolphin LSD thing is the focus of his newest video
Non means nine, btw.
This just feels like Jackson attempting to prevent the other guys from cancelling themselves by saying weird stuff about religion.
12:42
This podcast is so funny because nobody knows what their talking about at any given point
Poppt1 wears the same thing everyday
SuitCat?
wouldn't shooting trash into the sun give the sun more fuel so it lasts longer? this might be genius
34:10
Why is jordans mic always so much louder than the others lmao
Cuz it’s backwards
It's not ge gold's it closer. Square root law, the difference between 1 in and 2 in from a microphone is very big unless you use heavy compressors
WHERE IS THE MR. BEAST REFERENCE
Hexagons are the bestagons just like base 12 is based
jackson looking a bit different today
