Some day people will realize how good is/was Vitali. Strong chin, lateral movement and constantly beating with both hands using these karate/boxing punches. On top of that, he came out stronger and healthier from several injuries that menaced to stop his career, specially in that fight against Bird that was stopped. Two thumbs up for this giant boxer.

Both are tremendously HEAVY punchers as opposed to one punch knockout artists, and each of them are pretty crafty fighters, which really punishes an opponent. That was especially evident in the Shannon Biggs and Byrd fights where both fighters flinched pretty heavily when they knew a punch was coming.

That being said Vitali at least was more than a match for Lennox Lewis, and could very well have won that fight were it not for the cut. Vitali and his brother honestly just were fighting at a bad time. Most of the great heavyweights of previous eras had retired and the new crop of great heavyweights didn't emerge until they were old and ready to retire.

In fact, watching Vitaly Klitschko fights make me think Roy Jones Jr. should have thrown more jabs. Like he did in the Pazienza fight. VK was 38 W with 37 KO. VK's two losses were the result of serious injuries, Chris Byrd and his shoulder, Lennox Lewis and his eye.
Arreola has always been a fairly-limited fighter. A good brawler, and a strong straight puncher...but limited. Arreola wasn't in great shape but he showed some good heart and chin here to stand up to the Vitali's assault as long as he did.
Wow, what hype did that fight become to pull so many stars inside! Arreola was surely over-over-overhyped by the americans to boost such an interest. For both of them was a big boost to be cheered on by such Legends as Arnold and Sly.
Arreola has the heart of a lion, and is one tough cookie, but his trainers should've stop it earlier, since, he wasn't able to penetrate Klitschko's defence at all. Which made him into a punching bag the whole fight.

This bout shows how pathetic the heavyweight division has become. Arreola had little chance because of lack of experience and quality training. Years ago this kid wouldn't have gotten a crack at the title so soon if ever. Vitali put on a masterful display against an outclassed opponent. Oh! I'm not putting down Vitali or his brother. These guys rule because they are disciplined and smart boxers.
Really? Tyson, Louis, and Ali, to pick examples, fought against experienced opponents prior to winning their titles. Arreola's opponents simply do not compare.

Vitali and Vladimir both are excellent fighters and have taken on all comers. Both utilize their height and strength to their advantage and they both prefer to concentrate on defense, while they wear down their opponents without wasting a lot of unnecessary punches...and it has worked beautifully. They're both usually older than their opponents. The incredibly high percentage of knockouts are better than most anyone in any division. They're both highly intelligent men with PHD degrees, probably the first time ever among boxing champions. They have very large followings, but there are some low brows who can't comprehend intelligent maneuvering and are critical of their styles. They come to see two knuckle-dragging Neanderthals punching aimlessly and it irritates them to see boxers utilizing only tactics that are required to win a fight. Both Vitali and Vladimir would have cleaned out the heavyweight division at any time in history. Many fans despise them because they're white and they hate white people.
Arreola never built into Elite conditioning.He could not demand respect due to his lite power.Dude needed to live on push ups,resistance pulls and uphill power hiking with sprints.He has the boxing technique and the heart.

This bout shows how pathetic the heavyweight division has become. Arreola had little chance because of lack of experience and quality training. Years ago this kid wouldn't have gotten a crack at the title so soon if ever. Vitali put on a masterful display against an outclassed opponent. Oh! I'm not putting down Vitali or his brother. These guys rule because they are disciplined and smart boxers.

Really? Tyson, Louis, and Ali, to pick examples, fought against experienced opponents prior to winning their titles. Arreola's opponents simply do not compare.

Vitali style are similar to Milton Supreme's style, I wonder if Vitali ever trained with him or not.
This version of Vitaliti would beat Fury because he's willing to mix it up and throw punches. It's really that simple. I also disagree with Larry. Vitali throws with power. These are not arm punches.

Both utilize their height and strength to their advantage and they both prefer to concentrate on defense, while they wear down their opponents without wasting a lot of unnecessary punches...and it has worked beautifully. They're both usually older than their opponents.
The incredibly high percentage of knockouts are better than most anyone in any division.
They're both highly intelligent men with PHD degrees, probably the first time ever among boxing champions.
They have very large followings, but there are some low brows who can't comprehend intelligent maneuvering and are critical of their styles. They come to see two knuckle-dragging Neanderthals punching aimlessly and it irritates them to see boxers utilizing only tactics that are required to win a fight.
Both Vitali and Vladimir would have cleaned out the heavyweight division at any time in history.
Many fans despise them because they're white and they hate white people.
