This is a great gameplan. I've been trading only SPY for the last month and I've been able to 5x my small account. I got tired of chasing TSLA, gappers, etc. Now I just chart the SPY, ES, and NQ, and trade the SPY. Play the ORB, the test of the overnight/previous day high/low, and sometimes the close (if there is a strong move in one direction). Maybe 5 trades a day, and I start scaling out at 10-20% profit. You can trade a lot less and get better quality by just focusing on strong moves in the SPY.
@@BattlestarGenesis I find that I get shaken out with the 1 and the 3-minute. The 5-minute is probably what I do most, but even the 15 is more reliable if you have patience.
Hey another question, since I'm trying to get better at doing ORB so I'm trying to learn from people. Do you let the Opening range form after a certain time after market open? Or pre determined levels?
@@BattlestarGenesis I think Carmine has videos on how to play the ORB. Basically you wait for the first candle to form after the open, then when the second candle breaks above or below that's the direction you play. So on a one minute chart it would be super choppy, but on a 15-minute chart once the first 15 minute candle breaks in one direction it's a better indicator of perhaps the next hour. This all varies of course. You can also back test this by looking back over previous days and seeing what would have happened if you had taken the second candle in the direction of the break. You'll probably see that the longer time frames are more reliable.

I think the SPY is difficult to trade while the market is volatile. I think it's a good learning experience to prep you for massive profits once things go back to normal.
Realistically if you're trading more than 1-3 trades a day you're doing too much. Aim for a Risk Reward 1 to 2 minimum and think in terms of probabilities. So you definitely convinced me on the power of options which I already knew about... but you didn't tell me like when to buy and when to get out? I didn't learn much in other words. I sense you are willing to help, though... so what else should I look at?
Your advice on this video is SPOT ON! My problem is watching to many tickers. You convince me to just trade spy and qqq and try that for a while. I'm much better at short trades. Every time I hold for the big one. I lose it all.
where can i trade options like u mentioned in the video for only 1000$? or a cash account
How did you get the green/red volume bars?
How would you go about making $50 a day on a $500 account like you said?
Don’t worry about the money. Trade 1 contract at a time until consistent. Then scale up
@@carmine_rosato Position size?
Great information and insight. Much thanks.
By the way, how did you get each of the volume histogram stick to show sell and buy volumes? Thanks.
what broker do you trade on
Would this strategy work just trading equity and not options? SPY shares for example.
100%. Any instrument
What platform are you using for trading. Great video really helpful
TOS to chart... IBKR for execution
Cash account, where should you sign up for a cash account at?
hi master!! can u do a video, with ur trading setup, timeframes for intraday begginers trader are u recommend?
I have a video of this on my channel!
Bro when scalping and day trading do you trade 0DTEs or do you trade options with more than 1 day of expiration.
If there is volatility and clear direction, then 0-1 DTE is good. Else, 1-3 DTE
@@carmine_rosato thank you brother 🤝
I love your videos, Can we get a full video only explaining how to find supply and demand zone I saw one of your videos had only the last few minutes explaining how to draw and find them, I was able to learn from that but in this market it seems like it not 100% accurate as supply and demand is not holding
In the course
what broker do you trade on ?
@@digitalgenuis7732 i cant thank you enough for guiding me on my trading journey . i cant imagine where i am now without you.
You are among the best I've found on youtube. When I get some money together I'll be joining your premium. Hopefully these free vids can get me there
I always struggle picking a strike price. How far in the money or out the money do I go?
