Enjoying these stories. Amazed at the variety and creativity. I like how you use the same names/characters in your stories. Gives them a sense of continuity and history instead of just random short stories. Started at the beginning and looking forward to catching up.
Thanks, Jon! Glad to hear it. I continue to build as I go and started that way. And because I write by topic, they didn't unfold in any particular order, which was fun and surprising for me, which seems to translate well for others too.
I'm not a musician and never really got into that. IIRC this was my introduction to your writing and narration. It moved this older guy more than I could imagine. Don't generally comment much and I don't think I've ever commented more than I have to your work. Thank you!
Thank you, Greg! Glad to hear this story was so meaningful for you. I very much appreciate it when you and others take the time to leave such thoughtful feedback. It really does help to keep me motivated!🙏😃
As a lover of music and an ameteur one myself i adored this one. Not to mention the humanistic depiction of the characters and the originaity of it. Thanks!!!
I'm the same! If there was one art I wished I could have been gifted in, it was music. Not to be, but that doesn't mean I can't pay tribute in my own way 😃
@@RoweLit me toon my little sister can hear a somg on tje radio and play along flawlessly. But i cannot. Id trade (much of) my other knowledge for that if i could
Music is my first love in life... I grew up pretty poor so learning it beyond the basics was a luxury I couldn't afford... this story hit me differently. Thank you
My first memory in my life i was singing and i knew that it was the plan of God. Singing is one of the ways i get to spend time with God. Then for a long time i was a vocalist. Now, thank God i am back to singing. Thank you for the reminder.
Glad you liked this one, G! A bit of a different feel than a typical sci-fi story, but I was going for the idea that humans of the future will still be human.
Ohh this was a good story. There's a special little sentence in there... "Diedre had long questioned how much musical guidance she could offer Liryre anymore. So, she decided to just be the best mom she could be." ❤ Also, I've been wondering, do you read your own stories a year later or something when you've forgotten them a little? If so, can you relax and enjoy the story... or are you analyzing the writing the whole time? Just curious 🤣
Thanks, Jocrow! Glad you liked it 😃 This is definitely a hidden one, but I liked it too when I wrote it. I haven't had a chance to go back to it. With stories in the orbit of stuff I'm still writing--like the Misfits--I do have to go back and make sure I'm not forgetting something crucial. Also, I have to dive back in a little when putting collections together or checking back on names of systems and events. Other than that, unfortunately, I don't have much time to go back to most stories and read or listen. It is very hard to turn off the "editorial" part of my mind, too. That said, when I was listening to all the Misfits for the last episode, it had been months since I'd listened to them and I did enjoy it.
Thanks, Jack! A good reminder not to abandon the channel's roots! It's very easy to get caught up in the bigger sweep of the growing storyworld and forget to drop a stand-alone from time to time. If that's your preference, I'm not sure if you're aware, but I do have a playlist of stand-alone stories: ua-cam.com/play/PLWl-Jc_I2wPAnRNZgFENz8OwxZKZ9P51Q.html&feature=shared
I have no musical talent. But I am a huge fan. I used classical musical to settle my baby for nap time. As he grew, I used music to help him stay on track with homework. I homeschool him K-12. To this day when he does desk work he has music on to focus his ADHD brain. We tend to use Anders Holte for deep brainstorming, Assasin's Creed to smash threw boring or repetitive work. And re-visit baroque in between a myriad of music genre.
I teared up.
Very well written.
Thank you.
Cheers, Bmobert!
I appreciate the range your exploring with younger characters. Personaly I prefer your darker work
Thanks, Jayce! A story a week really forces me to stretch that range 😃 No doubt I'll be back around to the darker end of the spectrum soon enough.

You’re phenomenal on bringing these characters to life!
Thanks! Some of these early stories are definitely very character focused 😃
Brought a tear to my eye. As a parent and as a musician.
What a fantastic lesson for me, too.
Thanks, Tom! Glad you enjoyed 😃

So sweet. A different energy. Loved it.
Thanks, Victoria! One of my early favorites 🙏
I've been binging on your stories all weekend dude!!

Cheers, Garfield! Glad you're enjoying. I feel the same way 😃
Great stuff man, your performance is fantastic! You do the voices very well, Isaac is a treasure.😊
Thanks, Steve! I'm reposting some early stuff on other platforms, so I'm listening to it now and some of the early ones are really fun to revisit.

Many such cases, I suspect, Hartley. The shortest route between the mundane and the sublime has to be musical.
Beauty and truth.
😃🙏🎶
Another fantastic story! I loved this.
Thanks, LaVera! Glad you enjoyed it 🎶😃
Love this again....more so than my ffrst..
I did enjoy the story.
Thanks.
Thanks, Alistair! 🎼🎶🎷😃Glad to hear it!
Beautiful!
Cheers, Wes!
I enjoyed your prose in this one, and the line about “opening the door to the blessed souls in this room” was great.
Thanks, Kevin!
Most excellent 👍
Thanks, Peter 😃
Beautiful you must be a musician!
Thanks, Louis! I wish I were a musician of any decent caliber, but I'm more an enthusiast than a practitioner.
That was a very good story. Well done
Thanks, Helo!

My dad played bass in a band here for 30years country and Western 😮 love music
It's definitely a passion in the lifeblood of my family as well, Mark! A lifelong gift no matter the instrument or genre 😃
You Sir, seem very close to formulating the Question. To which the answer is, 42
How best to phrase it 🤔😃
"slowly faded out"?!?! The cruelty of those three terminal words!! Is it your intent? No "spread into the dark."?
Beware the intentional fallacy 😮
Wow another deep and beautiful story
Cheers, Tim! Glad you liked it 🙏
Awesome thank you
Thank you, Michael! Glad you enjoyed
The Universe is tuned to A432, the music of God !:-)
