The packaging on the BB quad is so so pretty, I almost wanted to buy it for just that and the chocolate color!!! Then I remembered I was going to get the ND Golden palette, and passed on this (also bcoz there were 2 shades I thought looked almost identical) Love the nails btw! 😊
Not a fan of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics since she sold her namesake company. Just moved on to various luxury brands such as Chanel, Dior and Cle’ de Peau. I have a few sets of brushes from Sonia G. that work well for eye area. I am looking for a great liquid and cream blush brush and wondered what recommendations you might have. Thanks Lexi!
It will depend on what shape you want but I like the Rephr 17 and the Chikuhodo T11 as well as the Sonia G Mini Base. Those are probably my three most used for cream blushes.
Hi Lexi, thank you so much for such a detailed review❤ Could please suggest if I could only buy one blush brush , which one would you suggest : BoBo/CHIKUHODO cheek highlight brush CH-1,3D angle,Gray squirrel mix Saikoho,Nebulae series, or this new one from the Artist series ? Thank you in advance 🌷🫶
Hi Lexi! Thank you for featuring recent Bobbi Brown releases. BB is a brand that is often overlooked. I think it’s because, like MAC, BB tends to release very similar collections from one season to the next. I think this might be hurting BB sales - there’s little to no FOMO! I like the eyeshadow sticks the most - they’re great for summer. Congrats on getting the new Chikuhodo/BoBo Artist series brush set in PR! Beautiful brushes (you know how much I like Fox hair brushes!). As you may recall, I do have the Zen series and I love it; however, I love shorter handles so I am contemplating the #2 brush, as one can never have too many blush brushes ! Thanks again for another great video.
Thank you Jocelyne! I agree that BB needs to change up their color stories a bit more. They can definitely be repetitive (I'm looking at you, Pink Glow!). I think you would really like the #2 brush so if you try it, please let me know what you think of it!
thank you for the detailed description of products, it saves me from purchasing items I would not like--that highlighter is beautiful, but the minute you said chunky glitter I knew it was a no for me. really appreciate the detailed reviews
Hi Lexi, love the CHIKUHODO brushes and I could do with some shorter handle brushes, especially eye brushes. Do you know if these Artist brushes are coming to Beautylish, I can get some Danessa Myricks and Natasha Denona at the same time? TY
Hi Lexi, glad you were able to grab the BB pieces...you just seem to know how to land the rare and harder to find pieces. Love the packaging and the taupe, lilac leaning shades as well as the highlighter even though it's not the most finely milled, it's aesthetically pleasing, lol. The brushes look so plush and phloofy...just beautiful and I bet you have to keep Sadie away from your brushes and makeup bc they'll quickly become her chew toys, haha. Thank you for another great review! Your earrings are making quite the regal statement along with your esteemed opinion. 😊❤️✨💯👏
Thank you! Yes, the brushes are kept behind two closed doors at all times. Thankfully she has never stolen a brush yet but she did get her paws on one of the boxes for a few seconds. She is a major chewer so we have to be careful with everything but especially books which are her favorite.
I have the BB highlighter and I really love it under blush and on the eyes too! I just got the Periwinkle eye stick after seeing it on you in a previous video. I want the Golden Fern now! I love the new brushes! I’m going to have to look at my FO series and see if I need any of the new ones. The FO-4 is my favorite by far. The eye brushes are where I may start!
Oooh I placed an order with Fude BoBo before seeing your video. I ordered the cheek brush because it looked the one that was most different to anything in the FO series. But it sounds like I may also have to pick up the larger powder brush too! As always, thanks for doing such a great job with demos and comparisons. You are really so incredibly helpful, and I really appreciate it 😊
@@LexiJongI haven’t received the brush yet, but just used your link for my first Fude Beauty purchase in a while. I ordered the fupa revival with the wooden handle which looks to be almost three months away. I’m not that patient 😅😂
I have the original FO series and absolutely love the silver fox. In fact, I have multiples of the ones I use frequently. Anyone who hasn’t yet tried silver fox, I’d strongly encourage you to give at least one a try. They’re sooooo soft.
Beautiful brushes! I ordered from that Japanese brand and I'm still waiting on my order to get to me. Do you know how long it takes to get orders from Japan? It's the chicahodo brands you give links to.
It can depend on the item and if it was a preorder or not. Usually, things are pretty fast and I would say you should receive your order within a couple of weeks at most.
Yey finally. I can't wait to watch it. Just today I received my highlighter from Bobbi brown and tested it today for a first time. The texture is drier than I expected, its quite shimmery and less skin-like than i expected. The packagine also is not as reflective of a mother of pearls as I have seen online. Its quite of a different color, quite unique, but not very office-like. I have mixed feelings. I think would be pretty as a topper on eyeshadows.
Yes, I agree with you. It wasn't what I was hoping for from the photos but I still like it. It's more limited in use though and not suitable for some more conservative offices.
@@LexiJong I just didn't expect it to be so blue :D i knew its somewhat purple but in reality is actually blue with multi color sparkles on a sunglight. And because the shimmer is quite big it doesn't quite look like a highlight to me. I have very fair skin and looks a bit weird on me. So i dont think its good for everyday use, maybe just for some more fun days lol Overall I am a bit disappointed cos ppl made it seem so smooth and metalic looking but really isnt
In the BB x Kerri R collection there is also an 8 pan eye palette with matte and metallic shades called "Shining Moment". I wonder if that might be better. It's also in that gorgeous luxe packaging!
I have the FO series but these shorter brushes look excellent. I have a pair of old eyes, so shorter is often a preference. I’m curious why the professional brushes would be shorter. Don’t most professionals prefer longer handles? Is it the improved control or the difference in shape? Love a touch of lilac in spring makeup. The opal shade is very beautiful even if it’s problematic.
I'm not sure why they made the professional shorter but I believe that in Japan, shorter handles are more common than here so perhaps professionals there have expressed a preference. I was told by someone in Japan that the longer handle brushes don't sell as well and that you need to specify the longer handles if you want them or default is shorter while default is longer for the US market.
I was excited when I saw that BB released a luxe shadow quad and I love those colors ( golden generally on my Greek Mediterranean skintone) but DISSAPOINTED it's not the traditional baked Luxe shadows they are just shimmers. But the rose gold highlighter the one with the heart emposemt its beautiful leaning more peachy/gold .I'm waiting for the ND golden palette. Thank you for your great review, love from Greece 🇬🇷 ❤🎉my beautiful Lexi ❤
I don't recall having the baked luxe shadows in a palette in a long time. I feel like they are usually just shimmers now but I love them so no complaints. The highlighter from the Kerri Rosenthal collection with the heart looks beautiful but too deep for me. I think it will be a lovely copper rose though.
I used to love BB luxe eyeshadows, only the original ones! Made in Italy! My last purchase from single luxe eyeshadow was the shade “ Full Moon” from earlier this year. Of course the package is luxurious! But the product!!!! The “ full moon” shadow is made in China! Not in Italy! I feel the quality is not the same- worse! I personally do not like this formula! And they are selling them for same price as the Italian Quality! And the amount is less. The chinesse luxe eyeshadows have metal rim! The italian ones are baked! That is the real deal! Same as with PatMcGrath! New formula is not worthy for me! But evebody has a different opinion. We are all different with different needs!
😮Ooh Golden Fern and Periwinkle look stunning!! That trio looks lovely too! Somehow it gives me fall feels though 🤔 I find the packaging delightful. And it looks pretty on your eyes! ... Lately it seems unnecessarily difficult to obtain Bobbi Brown? Limited releases drop randomly and seem to sell out quickly before you even know they were out 🤷but then everyone seems to do that
Hi Lexi. I love the Bobbie Brown collection this time around. Now I want the Golden Fern stick! I already got the opal, lilac and sunset rose. And it’s hard for me to resist the Luxe quads since that is one of my favorite formulas. I saw the preview the next collection that will be coming and I’m beyond excited for it!
Really like the BB eye quad but looks out of stock everywhere you weren’t kidding when you said it’s hard to find. I like the color story & they look really pigmented. I really like the brushes especially the cheek brush. That’s so great they sent them to you! Thank you for reviewing the BB collection & brushes! 😊🌺
Really enjoyed the Bobbi Brown review! I have oily hooded lids and I agree that their eyeshadow sticks have the best longevity. The Golden Fern shade is absolutely gorgeous ❤
I wish the Bobbi Brown collections were easier to find. I also wish they would make different colorways (some more cool toned would be great).
I agree!

Thank you! I may end up caving on the ND palette, lol.
Luxe is the only good formula from Bobbi Brown. Unfortunately the colors are quite repetitive.

Oh that's a tough choice but I think I would go with the CH-1 3D angle from Bobo x Chikuhodo. The shape is a bit more versatile.

Lexi where did you get periwinkle?? I’m hoping they ship to Australia 😢
I bought it from either Selfridges or Nordstrom. I can't remember which as I bought 2 of the pencils at Selfridges and 1 at Nordstrom.
What do you think about the Kerri Rosenthal Collection Highlighting Powder?
It looked too deep for me so I passed on it but I think it looks like a nice shade and it looks like the formula will be a thin metallic.
Thanks for your review Lexi !! Congrats on the PR brush set 😊stunning ❤
