It's actually an insult to customers that Dior doesn't put a single swatch on their website... Forcing your customers to blind buy your limited edition holiday collection is right at the bottom for subpar service to me. Drugstore brands do better than that... Dior has the money to give us proper photos and product descriptions.

I agree. I had a very bad experience with Dior customer service last year and don’t plan to purchase from them any time soon. It sucks because I really enjoy some of their products, but the service is just awful.
@@lvvl1005if I recall correctly… You have to Pay the Shipping to make a return to Dior and I believe product has to be unused. It’s been a couple of years ago… but I was Like “ Dior.. REALLY??!!” 🤷♀️
I agree Dior should swatch All of their colors on their website. They also should show those colors on different skin colors. If Chanel can do it, Dior certainly can. At least they take returns. But I send more back because I'm always buying blind.
@@prezkrk the demographic that buys Dior is going to be different than a Natasha Denona customer and the style of eyeshadow is also different and typically more subtle and understated. I’m not sure arm swatching would be that the representative of the average palette as would an eyelid look.

I was So Excited when promo pics came out… LOVE the packaging on the Highlighters… But Goodness both the Shades are pretty common. Would have been nice if they got Creative with the shades offered. However… The lip case Is EVERYTHING… Purchased and the Divine Plum when you first Announced the release. SO Helpful Thank You Lexi‼️‼️😊💕

I am also wondering how you store brushes for long term storage? Since you’ve mentioned often buying for your kids to use in the future I imagine they will be stored for many years before being used, and any tips you have to keep them in optimal condition would be so great 🥰
Thank you! I keep the brushes in the paulownia boxes that I save and I make sure to take them out and wash them every so often. If you just store them and forget about them, the hair can dehydrate and result in shedding so I make sure to check them out a few times a year. Some of the brushes that I plan on giving to them, I'm using in my regular rotation and I keep things pretty pristine so it shouldn't be a problem in the future.

Dior has made a habit of misleading promo photos, unfortunately for all. I see no reason to do so. Thank you for showing some true Dior colors. The Rephr Fall brush is really beautiful.

Hi Lexi! First off, congrats on getting the Rephr brushes in PR. I think that many people, myself among them, consider you the best reference on YT when it comes to Fude. So based on your recommendation, I will be ordering the beautiful Koyo brush. I am on the fence regarding the calligraphy-inspired eye brushes as I prefer firm brushes. But I may cave. Thank you for the great thorough demos, comparisons and reviews of the Dior collection. The Soir de Bal quint and the luminizers are nicely packaged but they’re just OK - I have seen better on you, so FOMO gone for those. However, I am planning on getting the liquid sequins in several shades. Thank you for investing in the Dior collection.

Fabulous video as usual - very helpful, I def want the Addict in Divine Plum and maybe the sequin you are wearing. It's stunning, but I usually hate anything matte, I'd only wear it with a gloss on top so I have to decide. The Masquerade lipstick might be an option too. Oh and def the rephr fall brush too.
If you are going to wear a gloss on top of the liquid lips, you might want to consider the chantecaille lip cristals then. I feel like they perform better with a gloss on top than these do over a long period of time.

Im a bit shocked by how different the eye palette looks swatched, from in the pan, but the look you got from it is pretty much the kind of look I was hoping for so I still think I'll buy it, just now I'll know what to expect. You saved me so much money too through the highlighter swatches. The gold one is pretty much orange leaning and that was the one I had been ready to push the button on. I'm still wondering if the coral one would work on my neutral cool skin since peach very rarely does, but it does seem to look lovely on you. So... swithering on that. I love the burgundy bullet lipstick and all of the glittery shades looked good on you though the darker ones were best as you said. Im torn between the bullet and the two glitter shades you recommended. I would say though, that from my pov, the light brown shade looked more than okay on you. It reminded me, at least through the screen, of DvN Tailored Nude or maybe Prada Hyper Matte Argile, both of which I love and really suit you as I recall. So it may not be a waste of money after all?
Thanks again for such a precise and informative video. Your method of review really is incredibly useful when, as a customer, you're confronted with bad pictures or in this case no pictures at all. I feel much more informed now about the collection.
I think you will find better options for a cooler highlighter. Both of these are pretty warm. Thank you! I'm glad the twinkle shade didn't look as bad as I though. I love the DVN and argile but they have a touch of pink in them that is missing with this shade.

Good point but it's very difficult to return things to Dior anyway so try to be sure before purchasing from their site.

Thanks for the review. Sadly, this whole collection is a pass for me. I was considering the highlighter in coral but I won’t use it so best to save my money. I adore the packaging. I like the Rephr brushes. Are the Shodo brushes limited edition?

Glad to see this video up I was waiting for someone to show the liquid lipsticks on the lips! So thanks so much very helpfull. Nobody can wear that 113 shade looks like concealer on. The rest is very pretty.

That's so tough! I'll have a highlighter collection video up in the next couple of weeks which may help. I think my favorite may still be the Tom Ford holiday highlighters from last year but there are so many good options.

I am getting really fed up with this release. I was excited at first but it is ridiculous for every single country, meanwhile Europe too, to get access, but the French and German website... while it is all shipped from the same place too. This is messy and i cannot stand waiting randomly in a line this disorganized. A lack of respect for the customer to me. I was going to get a couple of things but i feel highly discouraged. And while i'm at it: the sets are straight repeats.
That is very frustrating!
However. Your work to demo everything is outstanding and such good help. Love the dark lip on you!

I am still waiting for my Liquid lip to come but I am excited to try it (Shade 333 intrigue). The Dior loyalty program included a free Silver welcome gift with my order which I think is a nice touch! I received my engraved bullet coral lip and they also included a fancy mirror with mini lipstick🤩! I am enjoying my cle de peau holiday luminizer and Dior face palette so much and skipped the Dior ones. I don't need more eyeshadow right now but the quad looked really great on you with the dark lip. I love a dark lip too but I have alot of dark and reds for now. Thank you for the entire review including brushes!

I feel so stupid but I don't understand what she means by "3D shape". Are there 2D brushes? Is "3D shape" supposed to be synonymous with "angled" now?
I'm not sure why they go with the term 3D either but it is used to refer to any brush that has a flat edge on one side and more of a fluffy side on the other sort of like if you put the flat end against a surface, the fluffy side sticks out like in a kids pop up book.
Plastic! 😑😑😑. Back in the day the rosy glow blush came in a metal silver package and I was so excited they recreated them in gold. I’ll be skipping everything except maybe a lippie and the full face palette.

I think I’m skipping both shadows and the liquid lip. The only liquid lip I seem to like is the Suqqu Lip Fogs. Everything else is just a little too drying for me…but they are beautiful!!

On the Rephr cheek brush - is this goat + squirrel? (sorry if I missed it). I absolutely love that handle. I wish the brush head on this was shorter, like thr CH-1, but I still will get it anyway!

Hi Lexi! What a collection!! I got the eyeshadow and the liquid lips. I ordered like 6 of them. I loved them so much last year that i was so excited to see new shades. I love the masquerade shade on you with that eyeshadow look. Very regal and perfect for the winter and holiday season. I’m tempted to also get the lipstick version of masquerade now too. Did u see the Chanel highlight is not the smooth beautiful lit within highlight we were hoping for it's another freaken light glittery highlight?? Don't know why they can't give us a light one that isn't glittery. The Dior pallet is beautiful it looks great on you . I like the bottom part of the quad and middle I could have done without the top I don't care for that first shade. I'm excited about the new rephr brushes. Actually I think all these brushes are more exciting then the actual makeup 😂.

Thanks for covering Dior Holiday, Lexi! I usually pick up a piece or two from this collection every year. The only thing that interests me this time is the Addict lipstick in 704 Divine Plum. (No separate embroidered case, though -- I've learned my lesson with Guerlain. 🙄) The Canadian site doesn't have this collection yet, but it'll likely be available any day now.🤞🏻

@@nikkidegraaff8090 Sorry, I should explain. When Rouge G lipsticks were originally launched a few years ago, I slowly started collecting the lipsticks and their separate cases. (Some of those cases were knockouts!) Then this year, they "reformulated" the line, made the components gold, not silver (not a big deal to me) but *the new lipstick refills don't fit in the original version's cases*. Which means the cases I have are unable to be refilled any more. That's why I've been unhappy with them. It seemed to me to be a stupid marketing decision, and it only served to upset their loyal customers.

When I said I wouldn't get a separate case for the Dior Addict lipstick Lexi showed us, I guess I'm wary that other companies may also reconfigure customizable products like this, and I could be stuck with unusable Dior cases, too. Hope this helps explain my comment!

I wonder, does anyone here throw out eyeshadow pallets after the expiry date? Or do you hang on for a bit past expiry? The dior is only six months, and that's so much money for six months... And I don't think it would be a pallette I'd use every day. it's beautiful pallette though.
I haven't tried the reformulated Dior eyeshadow but I bought a Guerlain Holiday 2022 eye palett (Expiration date is 6 months too) and it's still going strong with nothing bad about it. I do occasionally sanitize my makeup to avoid bacteria.
@@oceanaopal4704 what do you use to sanitize? That's a really good idea. Why have I not done that before.
I put some 91% rubbing alcohol on a paper towel and dab on top of my eye powders or lipstick and let it sit on top of the powders for a few minutes. I then let them air out until dry. I stash my sanitized makeup in containers and rotate what I use most often. Its worked for me!

What is the fiber content of the cheek brush?
Goat and squirrel
Rephr has indicated that it’s saikoho goat and squirrel. Saikoho goat is the grade that Rephr’s main brush lineup is made with. The squirrel is not described so I am assuming it’s the most common type of squirrel hair (blue). The ratio of goat to squirrel is not indicated but it looks like there is more goat than squirrel.
This is pretty accurate. It seems like a 60/40 mix of saikoho to squirrel to me.

I have House of Dreams, so I'm very glad you swatched it. If they had used a Tyrian Purple, a Navy or a deep green, I would have purchased the new palette. But I don't want pinks and reds on my eyes. I have no idea why cosmetic companies keep pushing them. Dior listened to us wanting more special packaging. But I can see how powdery those shadows are when you hold up the palette.
I'll probably be getting the Rephr brush. It's pretty and they have great quality.
I really like the Masquerade in the bullet. After seeing it on you, I think I'll get that. Already ordered the red nail color. Does Sensation have a gray cast? Hard to tell. You look great in everything. But Dior needs to show all of these colors on models. They must get a ton of returns because the shades aren't right.
One thing in Dior's favor is that at least they sell these LE Addict colors with a lipstick case, so you can use them without the upscale, fancy case. Every other brand forces you to buy an additional case. Dior is still selling to their middle income base by doing this with their most popular lipsticks. Unlike many other designer brands. So kudos to them. And kudos to you for another excellent video!💚
