- Might make a full tutorial since I haven't really seen a detailed one on here.
Let me know if that'd be something you'd watch (in landscape instead of portrait of course).
Also, I'm tuned to Eb here instead of E. I just like how it sounds.
Love the attention to all the pivoting on the thumb and rhythmic changes that Nicky does with his right hand to generate the drive of that song. And cheers to not putting the bass guitar part in the left hand! This is the most accurate feel I’ve seen on UA-cam.
Thanks Jane! In all my playing I really try to understand the feel of the original recording and your feedback means a lot :)
I was mostly remenbered for his play and incredibly sound on " she's a rainbow" ,unique sound may be the sound that made the LP.with all skills from Brian .
I am not a piano player but I do play the guitar and I've spent a lot of time playing stones songs and learning not just the notes played, but how the song flows. This is the best cover I've ever seen of this song. You capture Nicky's voicing so well and that's really something special. I hope you get to play this on a piano as well.
Would be nice a full piano tutorial
This is brilliant….syncopation is stunning
You know, for the longest time it was literally impossible to find an accurate piano cover of this song. This is i think only the second accurate piano cover of Sympathy for the Devil i have heard that is being playing on a real keyboard rather than created in software.
I just went in to my bookmarks to find the other accurate piano cover i was referring to, and it turns out that it was by you as well. It used to be on your SoundCloud but it looks like it got deleted.
Wow dude. Is it me, or do you have exceptionally long fingers? Holy cow. LOL
I suppose I do! 🤘
Would love a tutorial and would be super cool in E 🙏 Great video!!! I need to get this into my hands
That was pretty much exactly like the original. I randomly commented on your matrix cover a few weeks ago..this is a little different…i actually play this piece….Anyway some people that i dont even think play the piano were criticizing different versions on UA-cam…..i just watched the guy from the actual record play it and then it suggested your version….that is exactly how he played it. Keep posting songs because some people who do play appreciate seeing a good version..have a dice day. As far as putting the bass part in…piano players do the bass and vice versa so that comment above is not really relevant..just look at John Paul Jones ….Or Ray Manzarek my favorite rock keyboard player of all time….he played the bass part…Getty Lee plays the keyboard…thats what the low notes on the piano are used for……Check out Kent Nishamura he does the most amazing covers very accurate with notes and rhythm add melody but he does the whole thing on acoustic guitar…he is a genius.
Great feel like original. Maybe do an add on with camera aimed at right hand. The jam towards end is nice when you go up to higher octaves.
Sooo gooood
