RIP just saw him in El Camino yestedayr evening, and just thinking what a good actor he was and today I turn on the news and he has gone! What a loss!!
im a bit late to the party but wow Robert you are a rare man.i respect your humility and warmth and willingness to engage with interviewers....what an example for others
I found this interview to be very humbling. I love actors that act real. Just finished watching Jackie Brown, needed more of Robert. Pam Grier love you sweetie.
Most useful and genuine and inspiring interview I have seen this year! Thank you. I have heard some of these words used before, but they were ripped off from this guy. Thank you..
I guess this was before the Harvey Weinstein scandal? But, there was really no one that could have done Max Cherry better than Forster, he really set the whole tone for that movie.
RIP Robert, great actor who never phoned in a performance, no matter what movie he was in. Did some low budget genre gems before returning to the A list.
humble guy, it's what made him the only casting choice for Jackie Brown. what a shame he wasn't more recognised. he acted with Marlon Brando, Robert de Niro. he was easily their equal. i miss him. like you miss a kind but wise grandpa, RIP
Robert Forster:** A "Superb Actor" And An "Unique"** "Gentlemen!!!!!"** Robert Forster Enjoyed His "Profession" In A "Professional" Way.** Robert Forster Was A "Wonderful" Human Being!!!!!"** "Peace "
I have heard the same thing from many actors over the years never give up keep your self working somehow the wheel will turn very inspiring person Mr Forster
I first saw the great Robert Forster as a little kid in one of my fave sci fi movies ever THE BLACK HOLE....and followed him ever since ....RIP BOB Sir. A great underrated actor.
I have had a major crush on Robert Forster forever. The scene he referred to when Max watches Jackie approach after leaving prison, the look on his face... oh my. Anyone see “Diamond Men”? Another RF winner. As my mom used to say, “He can put his shoes under my bed anytime.”
I think he meant Harvey Keitel, which was also a great choice btw. Just watched Small Crimes today and oh boy, what a sad ending for Forsters character. I miss him.
Rip Robert Forster what a legacy Edit: I watched Jackie Brown last night and went on a little RF deep dive watched The City 77’ costar a very young Don Johnson and The Vigilante 83’ I he was great in both
it was great to see him active again, not knowing the story of why he was not working. so many lousy actors who hit the big time, the public is used to a pig wearing lipstick as the new norm.
If it wasn’t for Harvey Weinstein the film would have never been made. The MeToo movement really messed up a great producers career without any due process. Goldiggers.

RIP, Robert Forster -- incredible, understated artist.

Your mom was a slut, too bad.
I read that Robert Forster was a Mensa member.
Very cool actor , he was class in Jakie Brown
Great man
You will be missed
R.i.p Robert
Was it Harvey Keitel that got the Forster part in Reservoir Dogs? He said "old gangster", so who else could it be? I guess maybe Steve Buscemi?
I think he meant Harvey Keitel, which was also a great choice btw.
Just watched Small Crimes today and oh boy, what a sad ending for Forsters character. I miss him.
No it was the head guy. Cris penn's father...
I’ve been a fan of his since The Black Hole and I’m glad he got a second resurgence in his twilight years.
Rip Robert Forster what a legacy
Edit: I watched Jackie Brown last night and went on a little RF deep dive watched The City 77’ costar a very young Don Johnson and The Vigilante 83’ I he was great in both
He played a psycho Viet vet in a 1967 episode of N.Y.P.D..WOW!His character jumped out of the tv set.Look for it!
if he wants an OSCAR.. sign up to play the Scotty Bowers film.. he will be perfect !
Bob is clearly not dead, he was just asking for a Hoover Max Extract Pressure-Pro, model sixty and he was gone.
it was great to see him active again, not knowing the story of why he was not working. so many lousy actors who hit the big time, the public is used to a pig wearing lipstick as the new norm.
After Jackie Brown became rich she could replace all her vinyl records with vinyl CDs...
Nakia
Thought Sylar killed him

Imagine being an apologist for a convicted sex offender?
That's what you've become.
