There is a group of people in the USA think the covid 19 virus is a made up hoax by the democrats. They believe once the election is over the virus will dissappear. Nov 3 is related to election day. I am not in this group.

Herd immunity, earned the old fashioned way. Since this pandemic was not considered to be a high risk for those that continued to keep open our food supply chains, eg, grocery clerks exposed daily to who knows what, along with other essential personnel, then it's not too high of a risk for the rest of us to return to work. Were it such a high risk, those working grocery store clerks would have a much higher incidence of covid19 cases. Yet they did not. The young and healthy should be back at work and at school.
@@tmcche7881 yes young and healthy should go back but should take maximum precautions, because you might not die but any elderly in home can. just look at the figures almost 200 k deaths in USA. do you want more people to die? why would anyone like to loose their elderly. heard immunity is a bogus concept, sweden tried it and now they are suffering and paying a heavy price

I want to argue about two points with you, John. First, it is NOT NHS Trace and test but a private one. Had Johnson given the task and the money for NHS instead of his mates, it would be working by now - as well as people actually getting tested. Second, I don't think the biggest challenge for the NHS is going to be autumn. It is going to be people's behaviour!
Test & Trace uses NHS systems, protocols and governance. The raw manpower is outsourced, quite often to retired NHS people, because it's the only way to get a project this big off the ground. I doubt very much that Boris Johnson rubs shoulders with anyone in the contact team?
The problem with this Government is they want to control and centralise everything. This meant they failed to use the Apple/Google approach of anonymised contact tracing. Second they failed to realise that local knowledge is essential and hence set up the national system, rather than devolving this to local Public Health Infrastucture. To top it all they then decide to disband Public Health. England. What I find absolutely incredible is that they then appoint the head of the disastrously organised Track and Trace to be CEO of the new organisation. I'm not sure what Baroness Dildo Harding has on Doris and Handcock or Cummings but it must be something big. She should have been sacked for incompetence not promoted.
They told me the anthrax vacine was safe. I am now medically retired from the military with a mass of issues. The old saying fool me once comes to mind.

Would it be possible to do a session on the different COVID 19 testing technologies, who or where they are being used, and what we are learning about error rates?
That's info that's difficult to find because some expect a 100% correct rate which is impossible, so it's either impossible to find in a given jurisdiction or well hidden. Consider the government's position, sometimes providing too much information will set things back.
Why would people completely trust government bodies or the pharma industries its all about control and MONEY especially knowing Gates and his cronies are involved India has a huge amount of poverty which means very poor diets and lack of adequate sewage systems and drinking water supplies. Lack of medical facilities and the problem of cows being able wander around to defecate everywhere. All that doesnt help.

Reliable information... just because he speaks ever so nicely and looks at the camera while doing so, doesn't mean what he says is reliable in any way. He is fearmongering in his own way. I think he is incredibly ignorant on many topics he discusses. Cases cases cases, all of which are aquired via the shoddiest of tests which mean almost nothing. No discussions on how mortality curves are extremely similar for every country compared with previous years if you account for 6 months before the "pandemic" and up to now. Various lockdown regimes have had close to zero impact on mortality but will create vast amounts of excess deaths from other ailments in the future. The pandemic is the amount of misinformation floating around. I advise you to watch a video, search "Ivor Cummins September 8th" into youtube. Have a nice day.

@Dave Cockayne Nobody in the UK gets enough sunlight during Winter months to generate enough Vitamin D. However, People need to consult with their Doctor when considering taking vitamin suppliments as many, including vitamin D, can have side effects if taken in excess.
@Dave Cockayne Just remember too much Vit D even with Vit K2, can cause hypercalcemia from Vit D toxicity and comes with lots of serious symptoms and in many, results in hospitalization, but their symptoms are usually so intense they go to the ER. So keep track of serum calcium before it gets to the dangerous levels which isn't that much higher then the upper limit of normal. Even skipping a few days of intake can be beneficial. You just don't know. Read up on Vit D toxicity. It's not uncommon in Emergency Rooms. PS I've been taking Vit D and K2 for years but do skip a few days. Even when I was taking Vit D only occasionally my levels were 37ng. Taking Vit D 2500 IU daily got my levels up to 50ng which is good enough, as I don't want to get my calcium up too high and suffer the consequences.
@Dave Cockayne Read up on Vit D toxicity, emergency rooms. I've read about this before COVID19, so knew to take days off and check calcium levels. to avoid Hypercalcemia. They give huge IV doses in the ICU, so it's complicated as to what dose and what length of time, can cause hypercalcemia and what other factors like age/ body size, come into play. Also try reading up on the emergency room cases.

I've got no confidence in the UK government. This is nothing to do with the NHS, they are only doing what the politicians tell them to do, and they are probably just as confused as the Electorate. There is nobody in this government who has either the qualifications or the knowledge to deal with the pandemic. People get promoted to do jobs depending upon what school they went to, who they are married to, who they are related to and how well they can kiss Johnson's arse. They have handled the pandemic laughably, mostly with the testing shitshow, but I can't recall one incident that they have dealt with effectively. Can you imagine 25000 people being turned away from a football match because they tested positive. Johnson should be certified insane.

It is pretty much the same the world over no one is happy with the government responses.are you suggesting that we are any different here dealing with a new virus? The government relies upon people behaving responsibly and having seen how some people behave it is a struggle at the best of times.
None whatsoever. I don't listen to a thing that bunch of idiotic liars say any more. The nationwide R rate is over 1.7 in England and we've got the nerve to point at other countries as being unsafe. The contraction rate is doubling every week (as of 2 weeks ago) and we're on track for a repeat of last spring, come Christmas. There is a song about this, how does it go? Hansie's Ma well public compliance, or should I say non compliance, is helping spread this, poor hygiene, non mask wearing, or do you think the Gov is spraying Covid around. We all have a part to play to reduce this disease.
You can't blame all of the problems on 12 politicians and then claim it has nothing to do with the thousands of decision makers in the NHS. That is just silly. The government have followed the advice of SAGE, who are some of the best qualified people in the country and many also work for the NHS (and very left wing). The UK tests more people than any other country in Europe. Your post is just partisan nonsense. You need to stop treating this issue as a political football, for all our sakes.

India has a population of about 1.3 billion, second only to China, so of course you would expect India to have the most number of cases. The number of cases per 1 million is about 3,400 compared to UK of about 5,400. One of the highest is Peru with about 21,500, and apparently Peru had one of the strictest lockdowns. India also use a rapid antigen test which have poor accuracy and if they get a positive result it is assumed to be correct, but if negative they take a RT-PCR test. That sounds like it's going to skew the results to positive.
The death rate is likely to remain low in India because due to a relatively poor health system the average life expectancy is lower than in the west. A lot of the population unfortunately don't live long enough to fall into the vulnerable age groups that we have in the UK, for example.
It is difficult isn't it as there are different testing methods and processes in each country. It is comparing Apples with Oranges. What mitigation's seem to work in one country seem not to work in another. The data is unreliable in every country. India is unique in having good advance medical facilities and a lot of doctors but these sort of work for the wealthy and the millions of poor in India are ignored. The virus will spread far, wide and deep in India mainly because of the poverty. That said, if it develops a vaccine it does have the means to make it in large volumes quickly and distribute it to the majority of the 1.3 billion citzens. However, reportedly 4 million Muslims have just been told they are not citizens.
Iv'e been hunkering down since February 2020. The worlds governments have been catching up with my measures. Today marks 27 weeks lockdown in Panama. That’s over 6 months. Global record I suspect. Next Monday we can leave the house every day of the week with men and women allowed out on the same day ...up to 11pm when night curfew starts. Wow. Proviso is Sunday’s when whole country is under 24 hour curfew ...indefinite. around 700 cases a day now despite all that. Deaths though trending down as elsewhere.
I’ve taken this seriously since January, but struggling to see the justification for the increasing restrictions in the UK. We are now far better at managing the COVID-19 disease than we were in March and April. I think many people are not buying into the constant barrage of cases rising on the news. Yes the sars-cov-2 virus remains as contagious as it ever was, but we get virtually no information about the impact of the disease. How many cases are actually moderately or seriously ill? What is the breakdown by age, comorbidities, ethnicity, vitamin d levels etc. I think the rule of six will be widely ignored unless they do.
We also need to know what lasting effects come from Covid19. From a covid ward nurse here in the US, I learned that there are 5 strains here - some more potent than others. Also, there are a number of men in their 30s and 40s in her hospital who had lower leg amputations due to covid caused blood clots. There are also accounts of lasting heart, lung, and kidney issues.
I've said before, we need LOCAL details not countrywide figures. If a spokesman for every hospital went on local radio just once a week to update on number of inpatients with Covid including number in ICU it would help more than anything to engage the public and affect behaviour. I think the rule of 6 will be ignored regardless. Its just such an impractically small number for so many families.
jayaness Agree. Rule of 6 penalises families and older people as they can’t all meet. Young people from 6 different households can still meet though! As long as we’re not putting pressure on the health system, we should be allowed to decide for ourselves what precautions to take. This blanket, one size fits all won’t work.

Please take a look at Norway and Scandinavia too. Here in Norway we've done very good up until last weeks and now its starting to look like its getting out of control. And autumn has come with dropping temp and worse weather -> cold and influenza season, more usage of public transport and people staying indoors alot more!
Of course, as people become complacent and weather drives people to crowded indoor spaces with recirculated dry air. This is not a surprise Only an idiot would think this means Sweden had it right, Sweden has a much higher death rate than it's Scandinavian neighbours and still suffered the 70% reductions in the economy and are no ways close to the minimum 60% immunity required for herd immunity, serologic tests place them at less than 15% and now it's believed that natural immunity faded over a few months. If anything, Sweden is increasingly being proven to be somewhat foolish and as public complacency builds, that would just become more true.
The Victorian govt is doing well. The federal govt is putting a lot of pressure (purely based on economic grounds )on them to drop their internal restrictions and the other states to allow victorians free border travel.

I frequently share the research knowledge I acquire from you with my colleagues. Thank you again.
USA fatality estimates by 12/31 now range between 380,000 and 600,000, depending on whether the public will mask, social distance, wash hands, and avoid crowds. 600,000 would be about 1 in every 500 people in the USA population. In the USA, 4 social settings are the most common places people get infected with SARS2: large congregation worship services, gyms, bars/coffee shops, restaurants.
Does it really matter if lots more people become infected? It's if they die that it matters. If the survival rate continues to improve surely that's more important?
There's data that shows it can leave some survivors with long term health challenges due to damage to organs. That's why some do not want to contract it and are trying their best not to. So it does matter, from that perspective.
10 million tests per day would work if tests could be purchased in bulk and be used by individuals at home. Maybe a less accurate test which could be used every day for each family member.

Which part of the way in which someone who is wearing a mask can pick up droplets of infected mucous from any contaminated surface, transfer it to the surface material of the mask during the many adjustments you have to make and then inhale viral particles through the mask for the next several hours!. While there may be some case to argue that infected people should wear masks to reduce the spread of droplets, but really it would be much better to wear the perspex visor because the cheap cloth masks are not an effective barrier, the afore-mentioned increases risk from wearing a mask surely outweighs the benefit!. 3:09 - That second peak corresponds quite well with Australian Winter. Now that Winter is ending, the numbers have reduced. Is this only because of restrictions, or is this because the weather is warming up again?
There is an explanation for many US states having an R value above 1, but the total number of cases going down. It is the states in the centre of the country which have had increasing numbers recently. Most of those states have low populations. Dr. Campbell I think your forgetting your previous video on masks and viral load . The rise in cases should not be the concern. Only the rise in hospitalizations and ICU admissions should be a concern. The more people who get mild and asymptomatic infections the better. Yes, we should protect and isolate the must vulnerable but the mass majority who contract the virus will have little to no symptoms Herd immunity needs to be obtained in a higher percentage of the population.
@@southerngrits I said we need to protect the vulnerable but the more people that get a mild case the better because they will not contract it again and pass it on. The masks greatly reduces the severity of cases which is good, but cases have still been rising even after mask mandates. By limiting the spread of the virus now we risk a much more dangerous second wave.
@@southerngrits I have no idea where you get the crazy notion that antibodies only last 10 days. It simply isn't the fact. They take 10 days to DEVELOP. Don't worry they won't survive long with an endemic disease like covid constantly sickening the population for all of time. Just wait for when the mutations conflict with previous infection immune response and you get waves of ADE deaths of all ages.
@Sweet Science! You are saying sort of random stuff some of which can't apply in the same location at the same time. Better to stick to a one country example I think, because the responses to the virus are diverse and outcomes significantly different. Poor countries shouldn't be lumped in with wealthy countries because what they can do is different, for example locking down a large slum is probably similar to locking down a full indoor stadium of people which is completely different to locking down people for a relatively short time if done properly in a rich country and getting rid of the virus or close to and opening up cautiously.
Not two waves in Australia....just an extension of the first wave with some gross mismanagement of returnees in hotel quarantine around the end-May/early-June. Victorians have suffered under minimal contact tracing/identification capabilities. Tries to go their own way rather than follow the National guidelines. Victoria still in lockdown for about 4.5 M people in the broader Melbourne area and curfew from 9PM - 6AM. Apparently, the virus has mutated to the D614G variant. I'll stick my neck out here and say that ( In Europe), this variant is more infectious but less lethal. Lets hope so. The stats for Spain, France and UK show high levels of infection but stable hospital admissions.
@Burt Burlingham Calcifediol treatment prevents 97% of severely ill patients going to ICU. The doc made a video on this. The risks of this virus is now near-zero.
@M J I don't know about everywhere. But I'd be willing to wager this is repeated around the areas of high Pakistani and Bangladeshi populations. Of course to even mention it is seen as racist and xenophobic. Probably the reason no kind of reasonable stats and figures are taken. No matter how much it might help understand things better. @@Campbellteaching Look up Professor Michael Mena at Harvard, and you will find that daily testing is a current technology, not science fiction. Also publicised by Medcram and "This Week In Virology". The will to deliver it is lacking in the US only because it doesn't make huge profits for the big pharmaceutical companies. Paper strip tests like a pregnancy test except with saliva instead of urine. One of the TWIV regular contributors dubbed it the "lick a stick" test. It is cheap (under $1 per test, reduces with scale), uses available and affordable reagents which can easily have production ramped up to meet demand, gives results in 10-15 minutes, and can be printed by any commercial printer in bulk, just by using reagents as "ink". Test valid and complete line fades within a day, so only today's test could be used as a pass into events or businesses. Just clip it to the bottom of the kind of identity pass holder commonly used by any event and by many public bodies and businesses. Then you just need to know that one line is a pass (negative), two are a fail (positive). If positive, Isolate - by law if necessary. It does not catch people with the minute levels that a PCR test can, but does catch all those where a positive test is recorded in under 30 cycles, which corresponds well with an infective level. Of course, if you compare it with cherry-picked PCRs that are loaded with high cycle rates (i.e. huge amplification), it appears inaccurate, but why would you do that? Well, maybe if your political opponent is espousing such a test, or you work for a big pharmaceutical company hoping to make huge profits from PCR reagents, proprietary treatments, or other products needed when people need hospitalisation, that would be a reason. Not a GOOD reason, or an ETHICAL reason, but one which fits the evidence. I thought you could do research?

Herd immunity, earned the old fashioned way.
Since this pandemic was not considered to be a high risk for those that continued to keep open our food supply chains, eg, grocery clerks exposed daily to who knows what, along with other essential personnel, then it's not too high of a risk for the rest of us to return to work. Were it such a high risk, those working grocery store clerks would have a much higher incidence of covid19 cases. Yet they did not.

The track and trace app I have downloaded as an NHS help volunteer states its NHS
I agree the behaviour of persons is always the hugest task :-)
Ross Rain keep up with your conspiracy theories but please be more original 😔

It isn't a new condition. It isn't a complication of CO-19. It has been around a long time..

The government are advised by scientists no one is advising the government who isn't qualified in either medicine or social behaviours.
"It's the end of the world as we know it....."

Hi there Dr. Campbell....hope you are doing well! Thank you for all the info you share with us and THANK YOU for the beautiful treat the other day with music and gorgeous art work!# Take care and stay safe!! You are a good man!!!!
Great call !!!!
Indeed - India is actually 82nd in the ranking of deaths per million. Had to scroll a long way down the table to even find it.
@M J Yes, I would have to agree with that.

@@7YBzzz4nbyte Yes indeed, worrying trends :/
Lock down really don't work, just a delay tactic, Sweden was right all along.
Of course, as people become complacent and weather drives people to crowded indoor spaces with recirculated dry air. This is not a surprise
Only an idiot would think this means Sweden had it right, Sweden has a much higher death rate than it's Scandinavian neighbours and still suffered the 70% reductions in the economy and are no ways close to the minimum 60% immunity required for herd immunity, serologic tests place them at less than 15% and now it's believed that natural immunity faded over a few months. If anything, Sweden is increasingly being proven to be somewhat foolish and as public complacency builds, that would just become more true.
Number of cases doesn’t necessarily reflect a problem. Hospital admissions and deaths are what matter.
The Victorian govt is doing well. The federal govt is putting a lot of pressure (purely based on economic grounds )on them to drop their internal restrictions and the other states to allow victorians free border travel.

Mike Pelligino - well considering he's the president of the United States, and probably has the most sophisticated intelligence network on planet earth - I'd say he probably DOES know more than your average doctor. Case in point - hydroxychloroquine.

There is an explanation for many US states having an R value above 1, but the total number of cases going down.
It is the states in the centre of the country which have had increasing numbers recently. Most of those states have low populations.
Of the 4 states with the highest populations, New York was hit very hard early on but has been falling ever since; and California, Texas, and Florida were hit in the second wave, but peaked about the end of July and have been falling since then.

Dr. Campbell....check out Medcram’s most recent interviews with Dr. Michael Mina from Harvard in regards to paper strip rapid saliva tests.
Medcram have spoken with Dr. Mina more than once. The ideas have also been explored several times by the weekly or biweekly online seminar led by prof. Vincent Racanielli on "This Week in Virology", in fact Medcram did a recap of episode #640 of TWiV explaining the science of lower sensitivity tests used as epidemiological screening rather than medical diagnosis. A simplified presentation from Dr. Mina can be seen here: www.rapidtests.org/

GOOD LUCK TRYING TO CONTAIN A BUNCH OF “COLLEGE KIDS”....laughable
yep, the funniest part is you send them to college & it doesn't cure them of stupid. It must be an inherited trait.
there have been reported incidents at 4-5 Massachusetts colleges about incoming freshmen having parties off campus against guidelines (aka rules) published by the university. A dozen and a half students have been pinished ranging from kicked out of the dorm to suspension for the fall semester amd in a few cases expulsion from the university. No refunds made in any of the cases. I can see the conversation now: " Umm mom and dad, I know it's only been 3 days but I got kicked out of school and they won't refund the $36,000 you paid. When can you come and pick me up?... Mom? Dad? are you still on the phone?? HELLOOOOO?"

Thank you. No need to worry, the cases are rising but that’s due to the increased numbers of tests.
Why aren’t you looking at case death rates? That was the standard early on, the metrics seem to be changing as cases go up but death trail off.
Note: most states are closed off to people in NSW, ACT and Victoria. Also so remember the first wave was in our summer and the second winter, this may indicate the numbers.
Our Presidential election is this November and we don't want it rushed to politicized it. I won't be getting it either way...as I don't feel comfortable with how Mr.Gates has pushed it so. No one is chipping me or my kids
Antibodies only last 10 days and young or old no one wants the virus . Mask are the only way to protect yourself. What he said was wash your mask .
Immunity to this disease, in line with other coronaviruses, immunity does not simply rely on antibodies anyway, but a whole range of immune cells such as T cells.
Masks are not the only way to protect yourself. It is moot whether they protect you at all and much proper scientific data shows they do not. The wasy to protect yourself is sensible social distancing and cleanliness. And a rubust immune system bolstered by Vitamin D and a proper healthy diet. Simple.
@@earledward5763 Show me proper scientific proof that masks 'greatly reduce the severity of cases'...because there is none. No scientific controlled trials have shown this. Only psuedo-science which passes correlation as causality.

@@mrdoohickey4824 unfortunatly we are in this toghether truly. The huge majority of young people are doing the right thing and will still live the consequences for society
@@mrdoohickey4824 You can't say there are long term effects from getting covi sars2, it's a possibility but we don't know because nobody has seen the effects or lack of after a year. Only time will tell. Better that some caution is taken and if I had a child I wouldn't want them to be infected even though it looks like no problems at this stage.
Wonderful- information! 😁👋🏽
In the US, you cannot sue for vaccine nor medical implant damages.. You can try, but the law isn't on your side.
It's hard to rationalise why a farmer plowing his paddock in a closed cab on a broad acre property has to wear a face mask but that are currently the law.
Dear John, re: rapid, frequent tests- have you looked at the Michael Mina idea? Appeared on TWiV episode and then was summarised on Medcram. Sorry, I can't remember when. Would love to hear your opinion.
Apparently, the virus has mutated to the D614G variant. I'll stick my neck out here and say that ( In Europe), this variant is more infectious but less lethal. Lets hope so. The stats for Spain, France and UK show high levels of infection but stable hospital admissions.
Phil Holding let’s hope so ...less lethal, that is ...time will tell
This has been the dominant strain in Europe almost from the start. It is the strain that was imported to New York, largely from Europe.
Didn't the D614G mutation happen months ago? I remember reading about it back then.

@@Campbellteaching 20:19 Star Trek tricorder
