Question? With a touch of a button can you simultaneously turn off/on three separate smart plugs that are not connected in a chain. Like a blender in the kitchen, a lamp in the garage and a whatever in the upstairs bedroom?
so i just ordered one of these on amazon a few minutes ago and I was wondering if i plug the mini into an extension chord, can i power off or on more than one lamp if it is connected to my wemo and the lamp plugs are connected to the outlet? Thank you so much!
@stateoftech - can you talk about the wifi connection. I'm under the impression that the Wemo creates an 'unsecured wifi connection'. Is this true and something I should be concerned about?
I finally got mine going, but I have to say the instructions are pretty dumb. They say plug in your Wemo smart plug, now using the camera of your smartphone, image the the graphic so the app can identify your hardware. Ahum, let me point out that with the device plugged in, you can no longer see the graphic. But if you wrote down the homecode before hand like I did, you can work around this.
You were probably sponsored. Don't waste your money. I couldn't get it connected and I gave it to my brother and he couldn't connect it either. Junk, just buy an Amazon smart plug.
Having owned the product for about a year and a half now, I have yet to have it disconnect from WiFi at all. Perhaps I have just been lucky, or perhaps having better wireless access points is the solution.
I had 2 plug but had to return back cause both need to be 2 different phones with 2 different app .I rather buy something that will work on one phone apps
Does it show how many watts is your device consuming ? the old Belkin Wemo Plug did tell you energy consumption in real time. This one does the same ?

Thank you. I just ordered my 4th WeMo. My house just keeps getting smarter. I have it voice controlled with Alexa.
me too! I love it
Does it work with the home kit app ?
Can you ask the Google home hub to turn on/off the wemo plug?

How do I calculate how many watts a smart plug can handle? Mine just says it can handle 15A.
watts = amps × volts
What about a custom built gaming pc
I'm guessing it can only use on a mechanical switch appliance
Nice review , thanks 🙂

Does it work in the 🇬🇧
I don't see why not. Would need an adapter if you bought us version. Look at Belkin's website.
StateofTech Thanks Jarrod
It is crap. I will never buy Belkin Again ever. What a waste. Don't waste your money
What didn’t work for you? They seemed to work fine for me. Sometimes the app is slow to load the connected plugs, but otherwise it was decent.
agree, it is crap. returned 2 of it after failing to connect to home Wi-Fi.
Junk by tp link (one minute install) these have issues with connecting to wifi signal.
