    In these video tutorials, I normally use Bakels Premixes to save on time.
    (Bakels is a bakery grade cake premix. Another great one is Allied Mills)

    Beautiful cake. I love the color you used.
    May i ask how does your fondant resist de fridge? When my cakes are cold and i cover them with fondant, it melts a little and it's a mess.

    When you cover your cake with fondant and you put it in the fridge does it not become sweaty and sticky and does condensation not affect it . And another question how long would keep the fondant covered cake in fridge.

    Very nice decorating. I just thought you might like to hear - my 4 yr old Charlie has started putting his flattened out on a plate playdoh in the fridge; he says he must put it in there to make it hard. (‘fondant?’) He says he learned this from you. I have playdoh in my fridge now, thank you

    Rosie if I put my cake covered in fondant into the fridge it sweats and my cake gets wet and the fondant on cake starts melting.

      Hi Khadija, merci por commento :) Utillise Americolour Gel Colour :) et couler: gold, egg yellow, chocolate brown, and black. All mixed together until I had a tan colour that I liked. I hope that helps!

    Do you have a good gold dust we can get in the United States? I have searched and can't find a way to buy the creative cake decorating champagne gold. :-( Also, I've used lemon extract for painting and you can definitely taste it. Can you taste the vodka or rose water?

    How do you stop the buttercream going soft under the fondant? I always refrigerate before applying fondant but eventually there's always buttercream than seeps out the bottom & the fondant is never as nice as when over ganache.

      Hi Christine, which type of buttercream are you using and what is the ratio of butter to icing sugar? It sounds like the buttercream might not be a crusting kind or the recipe creates buttercream that is too soft.

      Hi Rosie, I've tried a few. Swiss Meringue was way too soft. I'm currently using a butter/high ratio shortening buttercream assuming it was the high heat & humidity in Australia causing the issue but it's no better. It uses 65g butter, 65g shortening & 2 cups of icing sugar. Thanks for your help!

      Hi Lorna, to help you cakes to remain dry, pop them into the cake box with a lid that closes completely. The more airtight the box, the less your fondant will sweat :)
