I love the canada geese. I take care of some wild oones during nesting season. I never take them away from mom & dad, however mom and dad let me get a pet in now and then. I've been beaten by others wings and bitten by others. They can brake or fracture bones when they get angry... I've been learning how to read them when too close to them. Very protective parents they are.
Good evening, Jordan. It was good to watch the vid, after we have been off the scene for a while - catching up with the garden. As we are getting older it takes more effort and more time! The garden is looking well for the end of May, everything is very advanced, we just need some rain - desperately! It was great to see all the chicks and a look around the farm. We especially love the one Canada gosling!!! There are some hatched at our pond. They are getting quite big now and Malc feeds them everyday. They are great to watch! We will try and keep up, Jordan and watch some of the vids we have missed. Hope the chicks did well at the sale. Malc and Ann (England) UK xx
Even tho it was more of a passing. It was good to meet you at the auction.. the lavender orphingtons we found out were yours as we were bidding on the lot are doing great in the brooder.. you looked like you were working hard writing things down at the auction we didn't wanna bother you to much.. I'm sure we will see you there again..
Always so much to do with livestock, even with a hobby farm, I don't think I'd have time to make videos let alone post em, so, many thanks for your hard work Jordan, I look forward to ALL your posts, take care, Norfoik ,UK Ray
Thanks for the video! I think the calf hutch (ducks) needs a wire top to keep predators out. I think there’s a good chance the Canadian’s would accept the gosling from the incubator?
are you gonna trim the wing of your baby Canadas to keep them from flying? love the baby chick videos and the auction stuff as well as the hunting videos. keep up the good work bud.
So you give your pigeons grit with oyster shell? They may eat their own egg shells if they don't get any. Do you have eggs laid with no shells, just the membrane?

Cool that at least one egg hatched.
Have you thought about trying to trap the pied dove?
You need to put some bands on the geese.
Planning on it!
Did you say in a little over 2 years ??
Yup!
