The 2021 Suzuki DL650xt Vstrom reviewed by theloftybiker Kindly loaned by Damerells of Indian Queens, South West Cornwall #theloftybiker #suzukiuk #vstrom #damerells
Although the 650 Strom is considered as a ‘first big bike’, I’m heading the other way. Ive just downsized from an 1800cc that was beginning to get a bit heavy to move around the garage. I looked at the NC750X and CB500X both good bikes, but I found them a little too bland. The Strom, however still had enough go to put a smile on your face. I have the XT GTA model, just means it comes with the panniers and top box, and I love it. Already done a few tours on it, including NC500 and Wales 360 and can say that as a touring bike it has exceeded my expectations.
" great bikes that can do a very similar job....unfortunately the Vstrom is no more. It is being taken out of production.....there will be fantastic deals on new old stock
Since the XT is no dirt bike, I prefer the cheaper model with Cast wheels. Lighter, easier to clean, stiffer and do fine on a dirt road.Mine's my touring bike. I like to think I'll go slower on the 650 compared to the 1000
@@theloftybiker3090 Watched a review of the new 800. Nice bike, certainly better for rougher terrain and dirt roads....but I do like the V Twin on the 650. Reminds me of a faithful horse on the tours I have taken it on. Pull into down slowly, perfect engine manners in town, hammer it when leaving and it does enough Giddyup to keep me paying attention. 64 now, so going fast is not my main objective when touring. Cheers, liked your review.

Identical to mine, I’ve fully loaded with givi luggage, crash bars and spots.

Enjoyed your video, thanks. I'm 6'6' with 36 inch inseam. Do you reckon the bike would be big enough for me?
Yes, absolutely
Nice watch,great review
Thanks for watching
Nice review, which one would you recommend between this and the Honda CB500X as an all-rounder? Thank you!
Niether, I would go with the NC750X dct
@@theloftybiker3090 thanks for the reply! Does the helmet storage lid look plasticky/ fragile on the NC750X?
no, it's an Honda.....lol
@@theloftybiker3090 thanks again! If opting for a manual gearbox would you still pick the NC750X?
@@GB-lx4jz No, DCT every time for me
So you prefer the nc750x to this? I was under the impression that the NC wasn't as good for taller riders.
