I grew up in the inner city of Milwaukee Wi. On the Southside, in a mainly Hispanic hood. Also, my brother and I were sent to a mainly all Black School on the North side. At first, I got bullied, but I overcame the bullies that were beating me up by fighting back. Back then, in my hood, Gang violence was big. My brother and I would go to Latin King house parties from one house to the next. I came close to getting shot. I know God was looking out for me. It wasn't my time to go. That was 1997. I was 17 at that time. My homies and I got into so many fist fights. I was jumped numerous times to the point of unconsciousness. My relationship with Jesus was always with me. But I was lost. I wanted Jesus back in my life 🙏 so I asked Jesus back into my life.

When my home was being built, before they put the drywall up, my wife and I went around and wrote scripture verses on the wooden framework. We'd pray over the beams, the foundation, etc. Someday, if the house is remodeled, the workers may find 2x4's with Bible verses on them. My eyes moistened when you prayed for your former home. Praise God for where God has redeemed us from.
It’s hard for me to see Ian like this because I’ve known him since HS, but man he is a gem of the Hurst, TX area. So glad he found what he is meant to do, and help the masses to see Christ!

This was so powerful.. I told myself I was just going to listen while I played a video game but I couldn't. I had to stop and watch. I've felt alot of times like I'm too far gone to be saved anymore. What an inspiring story! This gives me hope. My husband, our 3 boys, and I are going through these exact things right now. The last time he got out of jail he introduced our boys and I to asap preach, our 6 yr old sings along to them in the back seat every time they play.
My husband has been addicted to drugs since he was a teenager, and he is in jail right now for drug induced violence. Praise god he has found the lord, however we need guidance, hope and prayers. This documentary has helped me, and has given me so much hope and grace for my husband. Thank you for sharing your story.

I was so thankful that my husband and I got to meet you at the outreach in Gulfport! I know I said it before but your music helped my husband so much and me as well. Goodness has ministered to me so much. When I lost my dad is when the worst of my addiction started. Now my husband and I are fighting to get our kids back. We have been fighting for 3 years. We know the Lord has a plan and a purpose for us in this. We have our days when we are hurting and we know that Gif will never fail and his plan is perfect. He has ministered to me through a poem I wrote and then turned into a song. It has blessed me to hear people say my song ministered to them. POWERFULL!!! My son suffers with addiction. He too is a rapper and has been clean for a few years now. I have shared your music with him many many times over the years!!!! PS Covid happened in 2020 here in the US anyways not 2019.
Clean 40 days after 22 years of addiction, trafficking, lust...u name it and I done it! Washed clean and baptized! Since ASAPs music entered my life I been hiting spiritual licks and mountains moved daily! Thanks ASAP and praise the Lord!

From back then when tribalism was prevalent and Jews hated Samaritans and visa versa, to todays tribalism and racism, the world seeing a group made of all people loving each other more than your own family has loved you, makes one believe God is real.

I watched this on Real Vida from my tablet in prison. We've lived through a lot of the same things. We both juggalos, well, you used to be. I've done piercings, you tattoos. We've both been arrested. You lost you mom, I lost my dad. Not from COVID though, he took his own life in 2012. I'd say the only difference really is, I'm not a Christian. I love your music though and will continue to show support.

You said something like "I appreciate you guys listening to my music, but make sure you get into the Word before you listen to my music." Encouraging us to read our Bible in morning, the importance of that..than we can listen to your music. I respected that so much and recall that reminder often. Great documentary!

You were the first Christian rapper I ever really got into. Christian rap has changed my life so drastically. I love rap music but once I got back close with the Lord I could not listen to all the garbage anymore! It was really hard. Changing your music is such a huge part of the transformation, it's hard to listen to secular music these days so I'm so grateful for the Christian rap. I'm so grateful that you made this documentary we have so very much in common, even the same years I was messing up back in the day ar the same years that you were messing up. It just feels good to have somebody to relate to. Your last short documentary where you had said that you had to listen to only Christian praise music for a while and couldn't even listen to Christian rap, that really hit me and changed my life as well. I've been through many relapses but I now almost have two years clean and I am so very very grateful and blessed to have you as a part of my music library. Thank you ian.❤

Addiction... it's the hardest addiction to overcome... especially when you don't let yourself become addicted to letting Jesus part your sin away.
I grew up in a christian household and always knew God was there, but when I started listening to ASAP Preach my life started changing. Asap's music brought me off of secular music and also helped me develop more of a christian worldview and an even deeper longing for a relationship with Christ. This helped me let go of a couple of things that were hurting my relationship with God. Asap's music was also a comfort for my soul while I was dealing with a panic attack. Thank you Asap and thank the Lord for the rap music ministry the Lord used you for! May the Lord continue to bless you, your family and your ministry! Greetings from Germany.
