Guess the developers tried to make these levels as unfair as possible but still beatable with only lvl 1 plants even though Dave warns us to get these up to lvl 5 which isnt necessary.
Honestly, I don't think leveling helps that much on most of these levels. You need complex strategy, not brute force. PopCap just made ultra-hard levels to trick players into thinking they need to level up their plants!
Top5 hardest lvls in this current version 5th : JurassicMarsh - Day39 (3:02:30) 4th : AncientEgypt - Day34 (33:44) 3rd : FarFuture - Day31 (2:15:12) 2nd : PirateSea - Day29 (54:15) and The hardest lvl in an entire game is 1st : WildWest - Day35 (1:51:19)

Dark Ages and Frostbite Caves might be coming since their Veteran zombies and brickhead variants are finished Big Wave Beach, Lost City, and Neon Mixtape Tour had veteran versions of their bosses left over, but they’re incomplete
Surely the hard levels really aren't available anymore for sure they really moved it at the epic quest where you can earn gems after finish playing extra hard levels
What would happen if PVZ2 got an update which brings back all expansion levels to playbility, but makes them obligatory to pass before the next worlds?

They removed it so now after you beat adventure you can only play extra hard levels of one world and that's it. And it's rng based what world you can play.

really like how the wild west extension day 35 is the only boss out of these extra bosses to require actual strategy and use an original idea
