Best. Fighting. Game. EVER. Seriously Max, thank-you so much for turning me on to the 'new' KI. Used to play it a ton back in the day in the arcades and on Nintendo. Was never very good, (I was more a SF/MK kinda guy), but KI was always fun. Fast forward to now, I'm in my 40's and still playing fighers. I'd glanced at this a couple times but thanks to your videos and the XGP sub on PC I've been in fighting game bliss. Still trying to figure out who my mains are but I'm having a blast the whole time and can actually win some matches online! Great game, great community. Keep it up brother. LET'S GO!!!

The ultras go with the music. Also the songs in background dynamically change depending on intensity of the match.
Did you just discover Max? He was literally KI hype man for the 6 years of its life. That's how I found Max because Microsoft barely advertise their games. KI is the best fighter this generation. You owe yourself a chance to play it.
Because xbox has been under a cloud of hate since launch if you want to be honest. If MS would take a chance right now to pay attention to a pretty big gaming UA-cam channel with max, and revive this game, with all the scrutiny at MS, EVERYONE will hear about KI.

Wow. I never seen this character before in a KI/KI2 fight vid. With moves and design like that, how is he not a final boss? That wall build and conversion to a bat are genius when used correctly.

Mastering your character is so satisfying, especially when you realize how much differently the next character plays. Best fighter in the last decade imo.

This game by far has the most creative character roster ever in a fighting game
I got crazy idea for the next Killer Instinct. I think it should have the tag team style similar to Marvel versus Capcom but different. Since it Killer Instinct it has to be special. I think characters to have additional move sets when parents together. unique additional movesets only they can perform when pairing together into a combo. When counter breaker is perform additional damage should be added in a tag chain combo. However if you catch the opponent tagging in a combo by countering with a combo breaker at the right time then the characters Partners should be able to kick the opponent's partner back in and perform a devastating combo on both of them. In instinct mode You still have the option to heal your character partner heatlh faster instead of using instinct mode for yourself. What you think max!
Sounds similar to what MK9 did in its tag mode to be honest. But no combo/counter breakers obviously. I would like to see a counter/combo breaker tag mechanic

The entire intro was shortened a while ago by about 8 seconds
If you look at max community posts you will see his explanation of why,I would link to you if I coild but looki it up. Basically,he always wanted to shorten the intro after a certain period of time,wich was after 6 months.

This game's soundtrack is probably its best thing, and that's saying a lot from how many good things it has going for it. Mick Gordon, Celldweller, and Atlas Plug all did extremely well. I mean, ffs, Mick Gordon did the DooM 2016 soundtrack, of course it sounds amazing.
The game feels so incredibly hype from how all of the effects and things look. The Combo Breakers, the announcer, the impact of the strikes, the supers, the ultra combos, just... God, how have I not heard of this game before?

It looks more amazing on sceen. The particle effects are A1..... you will find yourself watching sparks contour around the character, and bounce around on the ground.
Its visually impressive to say the least.

I love Killer Instinct so much but I suck so bad at fighting games, haha. I like to think I have fairly good reaction times but stuff like Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct are like a whole new level, especially having to remember combo's and possibly the enemies too.
With that fighting game age statistic, I'd like to point out that most people I know who like fighting games are around my age and I know a lot of people. I'm 19 and have played many different fighting game since I was around 5, starting with MK Trilogy on the N64. Most of my friends over the years love them, too and in schools we even had tournaments with games like Smash, Guilty Gear, Marvel vs Capcom 3, etc. Yes, the demographic is mostly adults, but there are quite a few of us teens who are very passionate about fighting games.

It because he got punch through the walls. The more walls a character gets punch through the more damage it does.
Also the walls stay up there until you knock Aganos down three times.

I don't think the Free version is on Steam, so I'd suggest the MS version just so you can test things out on the Free version before buying Definitive Edition.

I don't really know if there's much of a difference between the two versions, but the MS version can crossplay with the XBOne version while I think the Steam one is isolated to only Steam players. You might want to ask around more, but I'm leaning towards MS because it likely has a bigger playerbase between PC and XB1.

If MS just teased a new KI, they could win back a lot of xbox fans that want sequels to at least one of the original MS studios launch titles. Seeing KI demo in the mall made me make my choice between xbox and ps4.

Am I the only one who would kinda consider a KI port to switch, you know considering Microsoft is sharing some of their exclusives and KI could use a bit more of a revival.
Soon you'll be able to play it on a laptop or phone with Xcloud.
It would be good for the exposure of the game, im just not sure if MS should go any deeper into all these one sided partnerships they're making. All it would probably accomplish is MS actually not doing anything else with the game because letting switch have it would be a finishing touch to it.
