It remains to mention that for many Win11 AMD users (mine is a 5700XT, but I've heard of other models as well) it unfortunately still doesn't work. Neither under 5.3.2 nor under 5.4 preview. As soon as you drag the material onto a mesh or landscape, the mesh becomes completely transparent. Collisions are still present. It's a real shame....
I do not have this problem. Nor with 5.3, nor with 5.4 preview. I have WIndows 11 and an AMD GFX card. However, it is an RX6800. Perhaps the newer generation cards do not suffer from this issue. Just tried the steps from the video and it works fine for me.
@@more9livesThat's interesting that it works with your card. Good to know that there don't seem to be any problems with all AMD graphics cards. I think I've met a lot of people with my graphics card (5700xt) but also with a 6600 or a 580. There were quite a few. Then we can only hope that maybe something will be fixed after all.
@@thetriangleforgeI don't know, I'll take a look when I get a chance. Many people already had the problem with 5.3.2, but I didn't think about it because it wasn't officially implemented yet. Now I'm starting to get worried ^^
Hey :) So thats on purpose. We always packed the Textures up for performance reasons. The heightmap is in the Blue Channel. So you just need to connect this one.
@@thetriangleforge nice to know is there anyvideo to pack textures to be game ready on your channel or are you planning to do one , it will be awesome like on inkscape or photoshop

Fuck Better graphics, I just need games like the PSX and N64 era
Thats also something you can do with UE 5 ;-) . Good Video idea btw.
What about the performance of it in 5.4?
Well in that basic Scene the performance is good 😁. For bigger Environments i would use it only from time to time.
jesus loves you
