Front running is simple conflict of interest issue. Catch the people and put personal penalty. It’s common even in USA and other markets and needs to be caught with proper vigilance and addressed. No issues really for Quant MF. As conspiracy theory from SEBI as they announced such a confidential investigation, I could think that it’s a way to decelerate the market to create entry points for FII and some who exited prior to election results and could not board this high speed train. Or it could be a way to create space for some other new fund houses. Stay invested in QMF it’s solid.

It sounds like doing something rumor-driven to make market fall and get better entry at lower prices, similar to what SEBI Chairperson made a random statement that mid-small caps have formed a bubble and they fell down around 8-10% without any reason a few months back.
