    Every Camera Counts: / everycameracounts
Just standing on a sidewalk, documenting a police encounter we happened upon, not speaking to anyone, minding my camera…. when all of a sudden a tiny man with a vest that indicated ‘police’ on it suddenly appeared from around the front of a vehicle. The tiny man started to speak to me, ordering me arbitrarily to stand in different locations. The tiny man was so upset by the end of our encounter that he used his police vehicle to physically assault me, causing injuries.
This kind of cop is a major problem in America today. Be careful folks.

    *FAIR USE*
Copyright Disclaimer under section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, education and research.
Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing.
Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.
    FAIR USE DEFINITION:
    (Source: en.wikipedia.or...)
Fair use is a doctrine in the United States copyright law that allows limited use of copyrighted material without requiring permission from the rights holders, such as for commentary, criticism, news reporting, research, teaching or scholarship. It provides for the legal, non-licensed citation or incorporation of copyrighted material in another author’s work under a four-factor balancing test. The term “fair use” originated in the United States. A similar principle, fair dealing, exists in some other common law jurisdictions. Civil law jurisdictions have other limitations and exceptions to copyright.
U.S. COPYRIGHT OFFICE- FAIR USE DEFINITION
    (Source: www.copyright.g...)
One of the rights accorded to the owner of copyright is the right to reproduce or to authorize others to reproduce the work in copies or phonorecords. This right is subject to certain limitations found in sections 107 through 118 of the copyright law (title 17, U.S. Code). One of the more important limitations is the doctrine of “fair use”. The doctrine of fair use has developed through a substantial number of court decisions over the years and has been codified in section 107 of the copyright law.
Section 107 contains a list of the various purposes for which the reproduction of a particular work may be considered fair, such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.

Dear Maricopa County Victim Services Division,
I am writing to express my deep concern and disgust regarding the recent incident captured on multiple videos of a police officer violently opening his car door with the intent of hitting an innocent person approaching the vehicle. The victim reported the incident to the police, but the investigation resulted in no criminal charges against the offending officer. This outcome raises serious doubts about the integrity and impartiality of the investigation and highlights a severe lack of accountability for police brutality in Maricopa County.
The video footage clearly shows the officer's intention to inflict harm on the victim. It is outrageous that someone with the responsibility to serve and protect citizens could act so recklessly and with such disregard for human life. The officer's behavior is not only unlawful but completely unacceptable and should be condemned by all responsible authorities.
Furthermore, it is disturbing to see, yet again, another police officer getting away with a crime that is documented on several cameras. The failure of the authorities to hold the offending officer accountable reinforces the sense of impunity and lack of transparency that characterizes law enforcement in Maricopa County. This type of misconduct erodes public trust in the police and undermines the legitimacy of our justice system.
As a member of the community, I demand that you take immediate action to address this issue. I urge you to conduct an independent investigation into the incident and take appropriate measures against the officer involved. Moreover, I urge you to implement policies and procedures that hold law enforcement accountable for their actions and ensure that victims of police brutality receive the justice they deserve.
In conclusion, it is time for Maricopa County to take a stand against police brutality and impunity. The failure to act in this case and countless others perpetuates a culture of lawlessness that undermines the rule of law and puts the lives of citizens in danger. I expect a prompt and adequate response to this message and I will closely monitor any developments in this matter.
      Sincerely,

    • @mrwilson7617

Something I just thought of. He swung the door open and hit you. But never got out. So this proves his only intent was to hit you with the door. He never attempts to get out. Closes the door and then flees the scene. Bet he went home and cried about the whole thing to his mom.

I provide this email for viewers to copy and paste to local Arizona news stations.
      -----
Dear News Stations of [Phoenix, AZ],
As a concerned citizen, I implore you to take notice of a recent incident of police brutality in our community. The incident was captured on video and posted on the "Direct D" UA-cam channel under the title "Officer Loses Control And Commits A Crime • Unlawful Use Of Physical Force Against The Press."
The footage clearly shows a police officer recklessly opening his car door with the intent to hit a member of the press approaching his vehicle. This act of aggression is a blatant disregard for human life, and it's alarming that someone entrusted to enforce the law could act with such impunity. Despite the victim filing a police report, no charges have been filed against the officer, which raises serious questions about the lack of accountability in our law enforcement system.
As a society, we cannot tolerate such behavior from those sworn to protect us. The media plays a vital role in highlighting these issues and demanding accountability. By covering this story, you have the opportunity to raise public awareness, hold law enforcement accountable, and ensure that justice is served for the victim.
I am prepared to provide you with the link to the video and other relevant information to assist in your investigation. It's crucial that we expose these incidents of police brutality and take a stand against any form of violence or abuse of power.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I hope to hear back from you soon.
      Sincerely,

    • @santaanaaudits8189

Seems very dangerous! Like an assault with a deadly weapon, can't wait to read about him within 20 years from now! When he Tyre Nichols someone
And the Chief of Police did nothing he or she in this age of bad policing! The Chief of Police should be fired OR be held accountable for everything this out-of-control officer does out in the field!
Chief of Police you're there to do the tough job the ones underneath are afraid to do! You should resign if you can't do the lawful thing!
The only thing your teaching your officers is that they can get away with anything they want! Hope you're not promoting that your officers can commit crimes and get away with it!

The law is clear, the officer, "intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly cause(d) bodily injury to another," and, "intentionally or knowingly cause(d) physical contact with another when the person knows or should reasonably believe that the other will regard the contact as offensive or provocative."
The officer waited until someone was in front of his door and pushed it open with greater force than is required to reasonably open the door, knowingly and intentionally attempting to injure that person.

Size is just one factor in a fight.
Now, i won't claim that " size doesn't matter" in a fight( that is ridiculous. No MMA fighter/ boxer is on record as claiming that they would have won a fight that they lost if their opponent had been bigger) but it is hardly the end all and be all of fighting.

DAYTIME ain't shxt and actually pretty decent, I don't even see them in the, compared to the minute it turns dark. So UNLESS got hella money for bail, around 400 for a tow truck if you bail out the next morning and then 250 every misdemeanor and 350 every felony you have to go to court for as a court fee, even if you are found innocent. The police only seem to do the right thing when there is media attention on them. This is blatant. Guy assaulted you with his car door breaking the skin. How is that not a crime? Now it seems like Lilian Duran needs to be investigated for witnessing a crime and then turning a blind eye because the criminal is her peer/co-worker.

    Sincerely,
