It's very subjective, and not mutually exclusive. A person can be both attractive because they have a beard, AND because they have nuanced opinions on various aspects of art.
He needs to be nominated for Best Supporting Actor for this film. He was just completely mesmerising as Nathan, every moment he was on screen you couldn't look away
This man. This attractive, charismatic, talented man. I first saw him act in Ex Machina and instantly adored his acting. Then I watch him in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and my love for him skyrocketed! He is breathtaking at singing and an astounding actor! I actually just managed to get the chance to watch Inside Llewyn Davis today and his acting was phenomenal! And has rose ever since and now he has surpassed all the actors and actresses and rose to my favourite! This man is too amazing!
Knew nothing about this guy until I saw Ex Machina. WOW! Great film, and he was stellar in it. Then I watched A Most Violent Year, and he's also stellar in that. I'm sensing a pattern here. Great interview, too.
+Ninth Cinema Down You gotta watch Inside Llewyn Davis, he's also a fantastic singer and performer in that. Basically he's one of the most talented actors working today.
I love how into it and ready he gets to talk about Gender Politics but then she changes the subject to his facial hair and he's just awkwardly like "yea- okay wha?"
I'm so fucking puzzled by this guy. The first movie I noticed him in was Robin Hood. Now I can mask my Scandinavian accent with an English accent of my choosing, on demand... But I'll never be of English nor English speaking descent and I think people can tell. Just as I can usually tell American actors, no matter how well they pull off a British accent. But I genuinely thought the actor Oscar Isaac was English, based on Robin Hood, before I knew him to be South American. I prefer him with the british accent, he sounds so pleasently sinister, if that makes sense. And then there's Ex Machina. I didn't know the character Nathan was Isaac's until I saw the credits. The difference between Nathan and King John is uncanny. As is the difference between the two characters and Isaac himself. This is a bold claim, but this just might be one of the best recently active actors in the world!
Kristian Brandt I remember noticing him in Robin Hood too, now I'm weirdly proud of him for his success! he's so versatile, great at changing accent and even in playing people from different cultures! 🙂👍
wait, no go back, "let's talk about gender politics!" and you just changed the subject?? good interview but AUGH missed a really good convo there. esp. in terms of Ex Machina dealing with gender in storytelling, I bet Isaac had some good thoughts.
Let me tell y'all something, and I'm gonna keep it really real--if I was in her shoes and Oscar Isaac whispered in my ear I would've lost my job, and there'd be a whole lotta *ahem* extra footage that would've gotten cut. I'm just sayin.
I know, right? He is like a drop of queso from heaven. Just delicious! And I'm not that attracted to short men but hey - if I'd want any man's head at my chest it would be him!!
He is like an intelligent n evolved being that has incarnated here for a certain purpose. I mean just look at this guy every other interview!! He is something else!!
Nathan was the most fascinating character in the movie, even if he was an asshole. He reminded me of a young Steve Jobs dialed up to 11 and if he had gone insane.
Return of the Jedi would make sense, as Isaac is the same age as me and when ROTJ came out I was four years old. I didn't get to see the movie and probably would have been too scared by it anyway, but I vividly remember getting the Millennium Falcon for my fifth birthday that year!
He is 100% Guatemalan.. Born in Beautiful Guatemala son of Guatemalan mother. Guatemala must recover every metre of its rich territory of Belice and sue the criminal, parasite and pirate monarchy from the small Island of England... Greetings to Mel Gibson as well..
Dadi MAA par ass holes ke kono msg nae pauchbak chahi. Dadi ma ke msg ass holes par pahuctau aur seho kaeh dae chiyau ki msg me milawat Chau.. aur dadi me ke kono dos nae.
Oscar:"I only have myself to play with" - looks into the camera lense thinking, did I just said that? Priceless.
+marco irungaray Lol... And the way the woman that interviewer looked at him after he said it was hilarious!
M 😂😂😂
It made perfect sense to me
That caused my ovaries to ovulate instantly. My uterus is on fire
👁🫦👁❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
The beard is nice, but let's be real...his brain is what really makes him so attractive.
Extremely intelligent. Intelligence in a man is just so stimulating.
But his beard too lol
Intelligent men look hotter
It's very subjective, and not mutually exclusive. A person can be both attractive because they have a beard, AND because they have nuanced opinions on various aspects of art.
the way he answered every question is just so.. brilliant. the range he has whew
0:38 She's thinking - "The thing's I'd do to you, damn....."
The things we'd all do to him...
can you blame her?
That was a bit creepy
Was totally thinking the same thing😂
He needs to be nominated for Best Supporting Actor for this film. He was just completely mesmerising as Nathan, every moment he was on screen you couldn't look away
he's so articulate
1:00 cracks me up, the way he looks in the camera
I really like this interviewer. She is funny and smart. Ex Machina is a great film. Go see it!

I must say - I saw many interviews with Oscar Isaac lately but this one is most the professional, informative and overall fun.
This guy just became my favorite actor. Great interview!
"Out of control and/or hiding at the same time?!" LOLZ. This interview with Oscar is the best! Hilarious camaraderie with the interviewer
oscar isaac... makes inappropriate jokes when he doesn't even intend to. it's just natural for him.
This interview might be the best actor interview I've ever seen. Intelligent but not serious, cute but not cutesy.
madpadlovesyou it’s only 5 minutes long what do you mean 😂 you have low standards friend
Word salad
"I only have myself to play with"
I just sat here laughing for like three minutes
He is attractive. He has a very nice voice

+PeanutBuddha Incredible actor
I love how into it and ready he gets to talk about Gender Politics but then she changes the subject to his facial hair and he's just awkwardly like "yea- okay wha?"
That's a really nice interview. Both Oscar and the interviewer were great.
Great interview. Great beard.
Love the beautiful eyes God gave Latino males. My hubby has big, beautiful eyes and eyelashes like him. Just melt your heart.

Who wouldn't be? He is delish!

+Kristian Brandt He's central American bruh. Guatemala is just under mexico
His accent in X men apocalypse sounds like an English accent
So woopee
Kristian Brandt I remember noticing him in Robin Hood too, now I'm weirdly proud of him for his success! he's so versatile, great at changing accent and even in playing people from different cultures! 🙂👍
Awesome interview(er)! All in all it was funny and informative, making it feel like a conversation. Kudos!
0:50 the "hehe"🤣😂
"I only have myself to play with." I'm just gonna go ahead and pause this video for a minute while that sinks in.
She’s totally digging him!!
wait, no go back, "let's talk about gender politics!" and you just changed the subject?? good interview but AUGH missed a really good convo there. esp. in terms of Ex Machina dealing with gender in storytelling, I bet Isaac had some good thoughts.
+Rebecca Mock if i EVER get a chance to talk to him at all about anything, it would be this.
+Rebecca Mock the thing is that his thoughts are whats so interesting about him! I could talk to him for days and not get bored probably
I like this interviewer she's like a friend
I clearly heard him whisper; "enough with the foreplay, is it going to be your place or mine?"
r u sure ?
laura ribeiro that's what I would want to hear.
This interview is great! Good job. And I love how Isaac is carefull with his choices, keep it up fine man cause so far your movies rock.
The interview is very outgoing and extremely beautiful. I like that
Great interview- chilled and intelligent!
Love this person! Loved the interview!
Let me tell y'all something, and I'm gonna keep it really real--if I was in her shoes and Oscar Isaac whispered in my ear I would've lost my job, and there'd be a whole lotta *ahem* extra footage that would've gotten cut. I'm just sayin.
omg yes same xD
I know, right? He is like a drop of queso from heaven. Just delicious! And I'm not that attracted to short men but hey - if I'd want any man's head at my chest it would be him!!
steph abo “a drop of queso from heaven” lmao never heard that one before
I’ve just watched Ex-Machina for the first time. I’m hooked. This guy did an amazing job in his role.
*Sigh* What a wonderful human being.
This is the second interview I've seen where the female interviewer flirts with him at the end lol. So cute!
Do you think she's still ok or did she totally lose her controll after Oscar whispered in her hear?
I would understand if she got totally insane..
He is like an intelligent n evolved being that has incarnated here for a certain purpose. I mean just look at this guy every other interview!! He is something else!!
oh gawd! my ovaries!!! I love this man so much!!
Beautiful man.
Articulate, sweet, laughs, face very interesting and uniquely handsome
This is the best interview of all time.
Fuck me, this guy was the Ex Machina guy? I'd never have guessed.
Great interview :)
Great interview.
The future ? You mean flying cars, hotels on the moon ? Tang ?
Nathan was the most fascinating character in the movie, even if he was an asshole. He reminded me of a young Steve Jobs dialed up to 11 and if he had gone insane.
Thank you for this amazing interview.
0:58 2:58 3:15
That beard went places.
Return of the Jedi would make sense, as Isaac is the same age as me and when ROTJ came out I was four years old. I didn't get to see the movie and probably would have been too scared by it anyway, but I vividly remember getting the Millennium Falcon for my fifth birthday that year!
Poe Dameron is a ladies man
+thepunkster90x also a finn's man
This guy is like the real life Vince Chase.
holy cow this guy is great
0:58 that was an elegant way to handle that brainfart.
SO MUCH FLIRTING
GORGEOUS!
this was a good interviewer
She just couldn’t help herself... she had to flirt with him...
who came here from tumblr
Me I'm @coolfayebuny/tumblr - lots of Oscar Isaac photos and other stuff - but major crushing on Oscar at the moment !
Wtf is tumblr
+Jake Thomas DON'T ASK. RUN. Run as fast as you can from it and never look back.
She wants him
"it stayed in my head as one of the best things I'd ever WRITTEN"? Did you guys hear that? That's a fucking lie!
This guy. I'd be kind of intimidated talking to him and his brain.
I feel like he's so uncomfortable with her awko questions..
Why does this interview sound like it's directed at a 13 year old female audience? Isaac is a brilliant artist. Can't we find an astute interviewer?
Dadi MAA par ass holes ke kono msg nae pauchbak chahi. Dadi ma ke msg ass holes par pahuctau aur seho kaeh dae chiyau ki msg me milawat Chau.. aur dadi me ke kono dos nae.
Ke Chalae Rae . Bisra nae debbae.
