They all have distinct styles respectively. In my opinion, Colbert is the intelligent style funny, Kimmel is mean and sarcastically funny, while Fallon is a man who is an adorable guy with very very good resources, he got the Roots, his studio is relatively more accessible to movie stars. But he on his own is a liiiiiiittle bit less than the other two as a talk show host. Well that's just my opinion.
Gotta tip the hat to Jon Batiste here. The musical cue at the end of the interview is the opening to Such Sweet Thunder by Ellington/Strayhorn. The entire suite is based on the works of William Shakespeare.
I've seen Star Wars when I was 4 or 5 years old too for the first time and IMMEDIATELY felt in love with it! Being born in 1990 I've seen the trilogy all in one at home :)
I know, like Poe's the most bubbly inoffensive guy in the new movies... what could he have done, Leia doesn't seem the type to snap easily Maybe he kills Kylo. Fingers crossed
What? Are you serious? Kylo is the main antagonist. That's like killing Vader in Empire. He won't die until episode nine, if he does die at all. Furthermore, you really think she would slap him? That's retarded. Furthermore again, Poe would not be the person to kill Kylo. That's stupid. You have to understand script writing and screen writing before you make a guess that's likely or probable.
So I was watching some Australian movie called Balibo the other night and who turns up? Friggin Poe Dameron as José! This guy has an impressive body of work! He will have Oscars raining down on him one day!
Return of the Jedi was also my first star wars movie. It made such an impression on me that I saw it 3 times. The upcoming star wars film sounds great.
okay not 2 b dramatic but oscar is so endearing??? like with everything he talks about he's completely emotionally invested and he's intelligent and i'm just in awe of his skill and capability.
You want him to be good, and when he nerds out on Shakespeare, you see that he's not good. You see that he is fucking great. He is talented and considered and god damn good at his job.
Are you fucking kidding me, how in the hell am I ever going to get to see this wonderfully talented human being play one of my favorite characters if I am a broke college student in California and the show is in New York City… Fuck my life dude. God fucking bless New York
Oscar should have gotten one for Llewyn Davis. I saw him comment on his own size on national TV, something I've never seen a "short" actor/musician do. These days I'm considered short at 6' compared to 6' 4+ females in sneakers seen everyday in NYC. Last 2 Star Wars movies were the worst despite Issac & Fisher. Worse than Harry Potter movies up till Fantastic Beasts. The same beasts Han Solo spoke ab't twice b4 going into the Cantina, "whatever you do, don't stare" at intergalactic Trump Zoolanders. One of the more obvious metaphors that the makers of the franchise were warning about except that the beasts aren't space aliens, "THEY" Rus. Am I the only one who notices? Nope.
He just became a dad, and the dad jokes have already begun. Well done Oscar, well done.
wow,I didn't know until I saw your comment! good for him :)
I love it when Stephen has a guest on and they talk philosophy and classic literature, not many late night hosts can do that these days
I love how Stephen's intelligence brings out the best out of his interviewees. Imagine what Jimmy Fallon would have done with this.
Jimmy Fallon: "(insert big fake laugh here)"
Shadowcam "cue slap desk"
Wow! Wow! That's so awesome dude! Lotta words...lotta words...yeah, so awesome."
Hehe... Hamlet.. heheh. I love Hamlet man. Heheheh...
Imagine Kimmel or Fallon trying to have this kind of conversation. I think they're funny but Colbert is in a realm of his own.
Well, Kimmel is funny, Fallon not so much
They all have distinct styles respectively.
Jimmy Fallon is funny?
Stephen is not a deity?
Wow condescending much?
I love it whenever Stephen 'nerds it out'
He looks so good with salt and pepper hair.
mustardsfire22 he looks good period !
He’s my fantasy boy ! So sweet, intelligent and funny but drop dead gorgeous.
Oscar Isaac is such a beautiful human being 😭
NO! I want more! I want to watch an entire episode of Oscar Isaac and Stephen Colbert explaining Hamlet to me!
Gotta tip the hat to Jon Batiste here. The musical cue at the end of the interview is the opening to Such Sweet Thunder by Ellington/Strayhorn. The entire suite is based on the works of William Shakespeare.
“We’re Russian in the morning.” **stares & blinks** Gets me every time 😆
What's this about? I don't get it
@@Aryadnatpun for “rushing”, i guess?
"Plays the bad guy in X-men..."
That moment you realize you forgot X-Men: Apocalypse exists.
He's so hot I'm crying?
emma victoria that happens to me sometimes too.
Maybe you just have a severe emotion problem?
I’ve done that a couple times
Oh, I loved that nerd conversation about Hamlet so much!
OSCAR ISAAC AS HAMLET?!?
KEEGAN MICHAEL-KEY AS HORATIO?!?
...I NEED TICKETS TO THIS!!! :-O
blofeld39 I'd love to go, but cold hard cash is lacking! I don't know if you like Oscar there's a nice group of Oscar fans on tumblr !
The Public Theatre offers student tickets sold in advance at the box office for cheap. They're already selling them for Hamlet!
I'm really glad Colbert has hit his stride with The Late Show, he's honestly the best late night host there is
Too bad his band is the worst in late night. John B sounds like the Jared Leto Joker 90% of the time.
My favorite role of his so far is Nathan in Ex Machina. I didn't even recognize him in it until halfway through.
Houda Zee I really got smitten when I watched ILD; normally I dislike people like that but the way he played him was just dripping with OOOMPH.
he's hot
If I were gay....
Good looking man!
You have homoerotic fantasies about tapping dat ass. Oh yes, you're gay.
So what?
I was going to say the exact same thing! He is so so so sexy!
Seanie ikr
"Young actor." Dude is 38, has grey hair, and has been acting for two decades...
Buenomars 38 is the new 20.
Well, Hamlet was 30- NOT V young for HIS day, but pretty much for our time!
Buenomars He's young for the roles he gets cast. Young-ish middle-aged, dramatic roles are often played by people in their forties.
38 is old if you're like fuckin 12 or something
@@johnyreyes3567 old is 65 or 67 and older. Old is when you can retired from working and signs mental or physical strains that keep from doing much.
Wow, they posted the WHOLE interview in one video.
🏆One day Oscar will win an Oscar.
... when he was born they handed his mom an Oscar (Isaac)...and the prophesy was set in motion.🏆
another dad joke.
Francisco Casillas *adjusts blackberry belt clip, casual fanny pack, hat with a golf course logo* i don't know wHaT you're talking about...son.
my dad has 2/3 of those, nice
*Guatemala Tu Nombre Inmortal*!!!
I think you just became the prophet that tells the prophesy of Oscar winning an Oscar... what a time to be alive.
He seems down to earth, I like that : )
equilikua he is !
Oscar Isaac will always be the crazy ass guy from Ex Machina for me.
Sreekanth Narayanaswamy whoa. didn't put that together
His dance is iconic
same here
He was amazing in Ex-Machina. Underrated performance.
Such a great actor!
Love his work in Ex Machina and Star Wars.
Seems like a cool guy too!
He's a fineeeee~ gentleman
"We're Russian in the mornings."
But I don't understand. Can you tell me what's that mean?
I can’t imagine Jimmy Fallon asking this questions! That why Stephen is in other level!
Oscar Isaac is just fucking awesome
had no idea he's almost 40! Amazing actor
"Where's the deluxe version?" I love Oscar, so bloody talented.
This conversation is WHY I watch Late Night with Stephen Colbert. Yes.
Oscar played the best King John ever in Ridley Scott's Robin Hood. He is a scream.
#GuatemalaPower Very Proud Man!!
One of my favorite actors. Loved him in Sucker Punch.
I've seen Star Wars when I was 4 or 5 years old too for the first time and IMMEDIATELY felt in love with it! Being born in 1990 I've seen the trilogy all in one at home :)
"Sounds like a good play"... LOL! Who would've guessed???
What a stud
If Oscar Isaac taught my English class Hamlet in college I never would have fallen asleep during it
wonderful conversation about Hamlet!
i could listen to a hot guy talking about shakespeare for the rest of my gd life.
"The talented guy in just about everything"? Biggest understatement of the century.
Loved the nerding-out over Shakespeare 😌
Dad jokes
Thomas Baxter At what time?
So, what does Poe do to make Leia slap him?
Damn, this is gonna bug me until December.
I know, like Poe's the most bubbly inoffensive guy in the new movies... what could he have done, Leia doesn't seem the type to snap easily
Maybe he kills Kylo. Fingers crossed
Possibly because they blew up the planet her son was on. We are pretty sure Kylo got away - but she would not know that.
He probably just says something off base about Kylo or Han, she gets pissed and slaps him back into place
Nothing; after Oscar got slapped 27 times, the scene ends up getting cut from the movie. :P
May the Force be with you Oscar, always and forever!!!. You are a hell of a pilot!!!.
So I was watching some Australian movie called Balibo the other night and who turns up? Friggin Poe Dameron as José! This guy has an impressive body of work! He will have Oscars raining down on him one day!
TheLeatheryman he's a talented guy !
Happy 40th Anniversary, Star Wars
Return of the Jedi was also my first star wars movie. It made such an impression on me that I saw it 3 times.
The upcoming star wars film sounds great.
The band played "Such Sweet Thunder" by Duke Ellington at the end! Nerding out SO MUCH right now!
What was the first one?
This is a great interview! I'm just ahead of Oscar...I was front and center at the cinema at age 5 for Star Wars: A New Hope in 1978!!
Who would ever want to hit Poe Dameron in the face?!??!!
Pink Love "Want" being the keyword, I'm sure; nobody does!
Pink Love well Leia does
I would. Imma fight his ass.
I had a final on Hamlet like a week ago, only if I couldve used an Oscar Isaac interview for study
I first saw him in Ex Machina and was blown away by his performance. He reminds me of Rami Malek for some reason though. Awesome dudes they both are.
well, we russians love him, so come visit any day
it's cool, we're not that guys, that usa propaganda try to potray us we get the jokes 4)
i hope he wins the award of his name one day
I LOVED this nerd-out!!! Please have more!
He's so chill
What a wonderful guy in so many aspects! Such a big fan of him
Ex Machina is one of my favorite movies. I bet he will be awesome in Hamlet
George Clooney found a time machine
Unfortunately, I've never seen Oscar Isaac in Llewn Davis, but I saw him in Ex Machina, he was incredible.
I have yet to see Mr. Isaac in anything that he hasn't be fantastic in.
okay not 2 b dramatic but oscar is so endearing??? like with everything he talks about he's completely emotionally invested and he's intelligent and i'm just in awe of his skill and capability.
You want him to be good, and when he nerds out on Shakespeare, you see that he's not good. You see that he is fucking great. He is talented and considered and god damn good at his job.
First thing I ever saw him in was Show Me A Hero, an amazing mini series by The Wire's David Simon. Sooo good, I'd really recommend it
Another great performance by Mr. Issac ( and Domhnall Gleeson, who plays Hux in "SWTFA" ) is in "Ex Machina".
I could see him as Nathan Drake 😍
Sex on a stick. And I am going to need a lot of Kleenex for this new Star Wars movie...Carrie’s last film. It’s going to break my heart
Oscar Isaac is irritatingly good looking...
I'm sold! best summary of Hamlet ever
This was good conversation and good tv
Colbert makes the best interviews. Fallon best Sketches. Kimmel best Monologue. Corden best Singing segments.
I fuckin love smart actors
Nerdgasm!
“This sounds like a good play.” So freakin funny
That slap is a spoiler.
Fabian Bandera Carrie was a slapper
That's the same thing I thought. I'm like: "how does this connect to the movie?????"
Francisco Casillas leia is like : Dude you blew up the space Station with my son on it, are you crazy
Maybe its a red herring and the surprise is he actually slaps her
I just saw the movie and I don't remember her slapping him.
His parents named him after a award
That slap had me shook.
"Return Of The Jedi" was released in 1983...
As much as I liked Poe, I thought his character in Ex Machina was fantastic.
He's amazing, he even opened for green day!😍 and i couldn't believe that he played apocalypse...
Return of the Jedi, 1983!! ☝But great interview, so smart. 👍
“yeah my father directed it” iM SCREAMING
Ex Machina is AMAZING.
"nerd the hell out of it" a quote i have actually said
took AP English, memorized the damn play, and I just learned more about it from this clip than I did in school.
I've never seen a more good looking dude in my life.
Perfect five o clock shadow 🔥
Excellent bit of theological conversation at the end there :)
what a class act. Oscar Isaac never disappoints. from all about the Benjamin's to a most violent year.
fuck not to mention ex machina
Are you fucking kidding me, how in the hell am I ever going to get to see this wonderfully talented human being play one of my favorite characters if I am a broke college student in California and the show is in New York City… Fuck my life dude. God fucking bless New York
See him in Ex Machina. Outstanding!
the first one i saw in theaters was when i was six and it was the phantom menace
Oscar should have gotten one for Llewyn Davis. I saw him comment on his own size on national TV, something I've never seen a "short" actor/musician do. Holy Crap! He was Apocalypse!?
Nerd it out! yesssssssss
great interview!
Strawberry Quick!!!!!! DEAD! lol.
Oscar played the bastard, Blue in Sucker Punch, one of my favorite movies, and I see him as Poe Dameron in The Force Awakens. He's pretty awesome!
MY BABY BOY I LOVE HIM SO MUCH I LOVE HIM MY BABY BOY HE LOOKS SO GOOD IM SO PROUD OF HIM YOU DONT UNDERSTAND
