IMPORTANT NOTE I forgot to touch on: Hermod is affected by the Salve amulet, Undead Slayer perk and Undead Slayer ability. He is not affected by ghost hunter equipment or the Slayer Helmet effect.
New discovery I made: supreme invigorate aura is absolutely amazing. It allows for instant death skulls after living death using only super replen pots, and death skulls only costs 30% adren if you have conservation of energy and vigour.
You managed to get the cape with full revo? I might give it a go then, never been good enough to do high level combat before, but that's encouraging! congrats btw
From personal experience I would recommend to do just enough kills for 5 plates with T80 weapon, then wait until lvl 84 necro when you have 3 conjures unlocked. The 3 conjures make the difference between sub 50s and longer kills. I'm able to get consistent (99%) sub 50s kills with the T80 weapon and T70 power armour, without any potions or zuk cape, with the following rotation: Adren crystal at wars retreat, tele Summon skele, enter, summon ghost (shortest duration), summon zombie, command ghost (after zombie summon due to gcd) and skele (all pre-fight) Activate living death (pre-fight) After all this you should have around 1s before Hermod spawns. Living death (LD) 1,5x your damage of finger of death (FoD), so you should prioritise firing touch of death (ToD) and FoD as much as possible within your LD, even at the cost of adren. As a fodder cast your weapon spec and revo skele command, soul sap, volley of souls, ToD and scythe. Your power armour finishes Hermod off at around 25k hp most of the time.
Not one video touched up on this for noobs like me. This is how you can get to Hermod again after completing quest.... City of UM Tele -> go north of Death -> find ghost boat guy named Kharen -> Right Click travel
I've been trying to learn semi manual instead of using full revolution. Before the recent necromancy nerf I was getting 45 seconds to 1minute consistently full revolution. Post update and semi manual I'm getting 48seconds to 1 minute kills. Wonder how this would have compared to before.
Ooh, forgot to mention that. Most of these recordings were within a few days of release, didn't know if it worked on him yet. I'll add a note in the description, thanks for this.
The Spirit of War quest shows you how to get there (take the boat with Kharen). Also most players don't walk to bosses anymore after getting 1 kill, lol, because you can just make a portal at War's or the Max Guild to Rasial's tower that takes you right to him.
I don't struggle with Hermod but another guide told me to use a pernix quiver, enhanced excalibur, and scripture of wen to clear fight kiln and ful front in preparation and to be completely honest I don't have a spare 50 hours a week to play Runescape so thats not happening.
Hermod kills will be faster with the Zuk cape but for Hermod I'd say it's far from required. Generally speaking for Necro combat and more complicated bosses, the Zuk cape will help a lot, but there's no need to rush it as you say. For reference the Kiln with Necro took me 45 min with tier 70 gear, and Zuk about 30 with Magic. Plus one death through each due to keybind slip ups 🙂. Totally fine to not bum rush that.
say's begginer guide then starts by saying you need all the high level abilty's and start fight with death skull with full adrenalin due to archeology relic that is high level. has all high level gear and all high level / tree ability's , plus high level anyway, I hate when you see people say - begginer guide then procede to use all high level attacks, efect, gear etc. if you are doing a low level / begginer guide, use low level - begginer gear, skills, weapons, then proced to tell what to do with that. it become easy and no need for a guide when you unlock all your ablity / gear / weapons etc just tank and spank.
I don't really follow. I showed some runs with t90 gear, but for the base of the guide my Necro level was 74, so my gear was t70. Getting t70 gear after unlocking Hermod requires at most 5 more Necromancy levels and straightforward Kili tasks. Getting Death Skulls is even easier, and definitely not a "high level" ability. Not sure what your reference is, but in RS3 lvl 70 is very much mid game (and many players would still call it "early"). The Archaeology relic is definitely not required, it's just a convenience to start each kill with full adrenaline. Neither are whatever other "high level" things I mentioned. I believe the most expensive/high tier gear I used here is an Amulet of Souls, still relatively inexpensive (and actually found out later a Salve Amulet is free & much better for Hermod).
@@jasper_72 but using high tree skill as you said, you said you need to get 84 to unlock the 3 summons, plus the high tier scythe ability, and you have the archeolgy abily unlocked that most people would not have if they are beginer. also i watched several times and all you spells and ability do not change for the video, you summon 3 followers so must be at least 84, all i am saying is that many people make so called begginer guides but they are using max level boosts, like glyphs, aura's, potions, etc, {that most begginers may not have access to yet} if they are truely making a begginer guide then use begginer spells , ability's, gear weapons, I do not mean to be rude, nasty or missleading, I like you video's i just want to see a true begginer guide for begginers to follow as this would help more than watching some one kill a boss with things that help them that a begginer would not have.
@predatorhunterz I see what you mean. Appreciate the feedback, I think it was confusing then to throw in the kills with lvl 90+ Necromancy, I just wanted to show what can be done later. The kills where I have lvl 74 Necro don't use 3 summons at once obviously, but it's true I still have overloads, and actually am still using the Conservation of Power relic that requires almost max Archaeology lol. The base principles are still the same, the fight will just go longer if you dont have all the extra bits I do.
@@jasper_72 i feel awfull the way i said it first of all seemed a little bad, but all i was trying to say is that if i came as a new player with no extra benefits from high level potions, or skill tree effect, or archeolgy glyphs and aura's, just a real begginer new to necro many who goes into the fight fresh, other than that i do appreciate the video and i do appreciate your reply to my comment and the reply to my reply to my reply.. thanks mate, have a great day
It's a much more difficult fight with t60 gear. Lvl 70 Necro is still very much "low" level and easy to get to from 65. This is why I recommend at least lvl 70 for learning him, and getting 65-70 via rituals or low level combat.
@@jasper_72 just got to hermod yesterday t60 is definitely doable and really really easy but be prepared for 3 and a half minute kills lol boss mechanics are really easy to understand and read and all you really have to worry about is keeping the prayer up no need for boosts like overloads or supers

started combat today. got my cape and started this dude really liking necro i thik its the best revo style imo as a revo/++ guy.

Soul split watch a movie. That’s how you kill him😂
thanks for telling us how to get there
The quest line literally takes you there lol
Why were you wearing an amulet of souls instead of a salve?
