A 6-hour drive kept that brother and sister from seeing each other for 8 years. And that's WITH automobiles. Imagine what it was like when horses and your feet were the main modes of transport; family members only 50 miles apart would likely go several years at a time without seeing one another. Nowadays it's hard to imagine that kind of life since the internet connects all, over the vastest of distances, almost instantaneously. Just something that struck me while watching. For starters, its shortest path is 4 compared to the family pair's 5+ horizontal path. - the pair has to think through buzzing in too soon and locking out their partner who may know. A solo player isn't inhibited in this way, so they may be quicker to press. Worst case, they're wrong and the pair hears the whole question anyway. The win rate actually turned out to be approximately 50-50, if I recall.
