- [03/18/2022 UPDATE: After mild demand (and milder fanfare), I have gotten around to uploading Röyksopp's entire "Track of the Month" series to Internet Archive. The metadata is edited so that the tracks are arranged in proper chronological order and with this custom cover I made above from 40 years back \ come ago: hopefully that particular batch of rarities will remain immortalized there. Enjoy: archive.org/details/RoyksoppT... ]
[11/03/2021 UPDATE: Due to copyright restrictions, I cannot include "I Wanna Know," but it is nonetheless already freely available to stream via Röyksopp's Lost Tapes project.]
Since it oddly wasn't available beforehand, here is the complete collection of Röyksopp's Track of the Month series compiled all in one video for your listening convenience.
I have also prepared a special cover for this upload.

Unbelievable! I never anticipated this video reaching 100,000 views; thank you all so much for the support! Even after all this time, I love how this cover turned out the most.
This channel is my passion project to uncovering and uploading everything Röyksopp. Consider subscribing if you haven't, and checking out the following playlists for more Röyksopp:

Thank you for helping us having access again to this unbelievable music 🎼🎶
gracias por el gran trabajo que haces, un gusto escuchar tantos temas en buena calidad.
Damn. A gentle brewing storm of sorts. Calm yet electrified with notes of assurance, tenderness, and endurance. A destination one aspires to often visit between worlds of uncertainty.
That cover art brought me here. Any og ryxp fan knows why an image like that is so magical.
Miss og sounds
listening to This Space while i was watching the Northern Lights in Iceland might be the memory i remember on my deathbed, i'll never forget that moment
Deep
Never hear this in my life.. track 1 is phenomenal.. wow!

These guys are incredible. What a wonderful export!
Electric Counterpoint 3 is so much eargasm.
This Space is my new favorite song. So good my ears melted

Entering my Track Of The Month era
Royksopp forever in my heart!
Gosh, I remember track of the month like it was yesterday (probably over a decade ago now), I downloaded them every month and still have all the mp3 files. I love Röyksopp! ❤️
Röyksopp forever! At least now we can look forward to more new music they've been cooking up.
Adore
Can you still download the mp3 from somewhere?
Same
@@Exoptable yes, however - i dont believe Röyksopp will do anymore of stuff like "Electric Counterpoint Milde Salve edit", which has to be some of the nicest tunes i have ever heard of them lately. I would certainly love if they made more stuff like this now.
A pure delight of a mix.
Wow. Thank you for doing all this WORK for US 🥰
great work with this! thank you
"I wanna know" is AWESOME. Thank you for discover "Electric Counterpoint III" for me
To jest muzyka płynąca wprost do mnie. Podczas słuchania, czuje się jej częścią. To jakby jakas istota, przetłumaczyła mnie samego na nuty. Niesamowite wrażenie
pozdrowienia z podziemia

Check out "Electric Counterpoint - Fast (Movement 3)" by Steve Reich feat. Pat Metheny. That's the original.

Röyksopp We Love !!
Fantastic songs.
You Sir are a gentleman and a scholar
The Steve Reich numbers are masterpieces. I want to watch the sunrise on a beach forever to those!
i can`t relate de sample from "little fluffy clouds" from The Orb
Indeed they are! Another definite favorite is "Stronghold" - anyone know anything about samples used, history of the track and so on?
@@edvinpedvin Concerning "Stronghold": back when Röyksopp had their Track of the Month series from 2010 to 2011, the final track they released in this series was "Stronghold", being one of nine tracks from their rare pre-Melody A.M. release, "Jesudas". B+B described it as an "infamous LP which we gave out to friends around 1999. This highly sought-after item (again - if we might say so...) contained 9 tracks that didn’t make it on to Melody A.M. Jesudas was given a lot of praise in extremely closed circuits (mainly friends and fellow musicians) in fact, so much that a thirteen-track version also got made & thrown around town. This version, though, was released in extremely limited amounts only 6 CDs were made..."
With "Stronghold's" release on Track of the Month though, the second half of the song was "reworked" due to the "semi-unfinished feel of the classic version." The fact that their recording of "Stronghold" contains vinyl crackling confirms that they at least had the original 9-track LP at that time when the reworked "Stronghold" track dropped in 2011, but whether they have the expanded 13-track CD release remains a (profound) mystery...
A long while later, I had acquired Drum Island's live performance at Roskilde Festival 1998, where they performed two live-exclusive tracks there: "Den Evige Same", which translates to "The Eternal Sami" (and whose name was later changed to "Days"); and "Warriors", whose name was later changed to "Silent Warriors". It's speculative, but I would imagine that these two tracks are potentially on Jesudas, considering that it was barely under a year between B+B performing live as Drum Island and Röyksopp releasing "Jesudas". Plus, the individuals credited for "Stronghold" per an ISWC Net search are Torbjørn Brundtland, Svein Berge, and Ole J. Mjøs: all three had worked together under the Drum Island moniker and performed live under the same name. Furthermore, these three individuals were also responsible for "Flax", a rare B-side from a limited-edition release of the "Eple" single in 2001.
Röyksopp informed me that they hope to get some of Jesudas released under "Lost Tapes", but mention that some of its tracks include samples (of which I presume they're uncleared), which are unfortunately causing them difficulties. It's a similar story with one of their pre-Röyksopp formations, Alanïa's debut release "Instinctive Travels": from what I have researched, B+B do not like to talk about this particular release as it contains many uncleared samples, of which it would take a very great deal of money to clear each and every last one of them.
@@Exoptable wow, thanks that was beyond expectations ☺ I knew about the Jesudas release but not all that detail of course.
👍
Just listened to Curves and Flax, which I haven't done in quite a while. These too have large portions of that inexplicable RYXP magic, that some of the old stuff has: They're instant time machines, transporting you to where you can look at the world and marvel at its beauty. This is a quality that very few other artists have, at least from the 2000's.
This magic, to me, exists predominantly in early RYXP tracks even though I was not an early adopter. Some tracks on Junior and Senior has it but they get more and more rare IMO. I am pondering when to listen to the latest album again, because I couldn't 'feel' it. Is it just me becoming an old fart, overwhelmed by melancholy? 😁
Still: RYXP to me, truly, is something else and will be forever ❤️ Keyboard Milk now 👍
I love Royksopp. They are handsome and talented ❤️ Gintare Maksimovaite
I've never heard Röyksopp described as handsome but now that you said it, I might have just start crushing on Tobjørn.

Could this be the channel of Mr. Mushroomsmokev2's worthy successor?
And praise on the made-up cover -- it is pure Röyksopp's collective mind.
Thank you very much for the kind words and regarding the cover! Designing covers for these uploads are the most fun I have with these uploads in trying to replicate and be as faithful to the Röyksopp style as possible.
I'm very happy to see that people have been enjoying the uploads, so long as my videos continue to help bring more awareness and appreciation for Röyksopp's lesser-known discography, then I know I've been accomplishing what I set out to do with this channel.
Thanks for upload this masterpiece
You're very welcome, thanks for listening!
Röyksopp forever!
Agree !! Cheers !!
@Exoptable thanks for sharing. Good stuff😉
🙈🙉🙊🎶The Best! 💨 Thanks!
Yes!! 💕💕✨✨✨✨
Very nice.

Well if I didn't know any better I'd be tempted to say this is Röyksopp - Track of the Month [The Complete Series]
Every days..
Si vinieran a México seguro ahí estaba.
А то что я хочу, то я заберу.
synthenizer geniuses.......
Soo underrated but brilliant
So true!
Спасибо большое! 🇷🇺
💙
Интересно, что курил композитор когда сочинял такую музыку?! )))
Есть у вас вещи достойные внимания. По ходу я сам того же хочу.
weird and spooky sounding 🙃
This is great - but have Royksopp been going for 40 years!!?? I only found them in last 6 months! 😖😁
Это то что я хочу. Лучше не скажешь и не сыграешь.
❣️👏❤️🙏😊
3rd Track sounds like THE ORB - little fluffy clouds
Хорошая музыка по ходу не для всех.
How can I get track one? Like how can I download this masterpiece
Hi Eboni, if you contact me via email (which is listed in the "About" tab of my channel), I can try sending you my copy of track 1 through there.
the first Steve Reich piece has the riff from Orb's fluffy clouds, or is it the other way around?
Orb took from Steve Reich :)
Stevie
little Daft Punk in first track , but good anyway!
Royksopp and psilocybin has there ever been a greater marriage ? What else is there.......
ОХУЕННО
UA-cam спрашивает, перевести на русский, да не@хуй тут переводить и так всё ясно, 😂👍👍👍
Да стало холодно. Накаркали шаманы.
This sounds like 90s. Why does this sounds like 90s?
Too repetitive
I wouldn't think so, there's quite a variety and it's already gracious of them to distribute all these tracks for free.
@@Exoptable I found most of them redundant to the point of annoying. Don't want it for free... LOL
Curiously, their music with vocals is quite good. Without that it is really bland...
it's electronic music... it SHOULD be "repetetive" since it's in its nature
@@olaolga bland it is not you are not listening to the mixing and dj quality shistnit who is arsed its repetitive no one has any brains.
you should try edm :D
