13:42 when you want to craft a more complex item and you're missing smaller things, like gears, you can craft then on the right side of the main craft, so you don't have to leave the menu.
It's literally the bottom right corner.
Hearing Kage being excited/happy about car upgrades made my afternoon.
When you return from a mission a random salvage vehicle (like that big fuel truck) appears for you to get materials.
Also you can have spare panels repairing in the shop while you drive. When you get back swap good panels out for bad ones, so less repairing.
You need an upgraded tool to remove entire tires and panels from scrapped vehicles. Also upgraded repair kits (like blowtorch instead of putty, works faster, lasts longer)
When crafting, if you need to make sub items (in red) they appear to the right side in white in a different box. You can craft directly there and will see the red box turn white when you have enough.
Put repair kits (putty etc) and extra tools (scrapper etc) in outside storage racks. That way you can just open trunk, use T to transfer all materials to interior and close. Also will simplify transfer to the carry box when you return.

Brighter nights. like you, I literally cannot function with how dark games are. Like I get that's part of the experience, But I'm like that one guy from "Midnight special" with the night vision goggles while driving.

You take those with you because I think you gonna need them out in the field...
Plus you can repair more than one item and waste materials crafting more of the same .

Remember to scan the scrapped vehicles (doors, panel's, tires) u can get some blueprints for free.
This is really good advice.
The build/craft screen actually shows you what the components are made off.
At 6:34 when you looked at the steel panel on the bottom right, above the "currently equipped" bar it showed what a steel sheet is made out off.
You can even craft them directly from there without having to scroll as seen with the circuit board at 17:24.
I think you may be able to tag/bookmark crafting recipes.
Bellow the craft button there is a notepad sysmbol plus a C-button symbol. Maybe you can press C to tag the recipe?
This game has so much quality of life features absent in other games that you ignore it even when it's right in your face.

I think the car parts that show bright white on the diagnostic screen are the ones that are 100%, and the ones that are slightly faded are the ones that are in good shape but not quite perfect.

Does the side storage show up as additional slots to the main storage in the back or are they seperate?
yeah the problem with almost everyone commenting... is no one has actually played this game lol (me included) so take comments as suggestions but definitely use your best judgement. ive watched quite a few hours of gameplay and I havent seen any correlation between getting the orbs early and the zone collapsing quicker.... but that doesnt mean that im right. use your best judgement as youre the one playing the game lol, we will just have to wait until we can get our hands on it in february :) the log tab does have info on everything you unlock and scan. it does give alot of lore, but also can give some decent info if you look it all over, id wait until you are in the garage though as time doesnt stop when youre reading logs in the zone. Also the resource radar uses quite a bit of your battery, you can craft things that will passively charge your battery in certain conditions (ie, when its windy, sunny, rainy, or electrical storms) that will attach to the side rails. or you can get charging items you can craft and bring with you.
The game tells you that taking the yellow orbs will speed up the collapse
That game sounds like fun
You could make more off road tires, so if yours get damaged you can just replace them with new ones and heal damaged ones i think and keep brighter nights ON.
About those yellow spheres you can take em to your car, but only do so if your about to leave as I've said last episode, that sphere makes a gateway back the the garage, but causes the zone your in to collapse in on itself
Blowtorch is the upgraded version of repair putty I believe.

other than repair putty, you can use blow torch, it is better than repair putty because you only use the same amount you repair the thingy. compare to repair putty you use the same ammount of it no matter how small dammage you have.
Tires dont take damage from anything (besides the ground) unless the panels on top of it are destroyed so the tires will be intact and just take some status damage
Scrap your existing car parts in the shop and exchange for steel parts. Use the truck tires the same way to upgrade your existing tires.
Can't wait until we get to the "quirks" of the car.

I'd probably turn brighter nights on just for youtube. I won't when I finally get to play this, but for youtube it's probably a good idea.
hey Kage wasnt there an upgrade to the repair putty like a blowtorch or something i think ive seen it in one of ur videos in that research bench, so maybe get that so u dont have to use the "exspensive" putty all the time :)
Maybe having more storage in the car would be useful to carry extra tools to collect resources. Just to save time not crafting them on the road and therefor get more loot time.

Kage, have you looked at the vargas vacuums yet as I think it's a storage
its not a storage, when you are crafting it doesnt draw from any items in the vacuum and if you leave items in the vacuum they will disappear if you go out looting. it is just to clean up all items loose in the shop then you need to transfer them into actual storages. otherwise it would be infinite storage and there would be no point to building any of the other storages in the garage.

They should make so it doesn’t collapse until you grab one of those yellow ball things…. And grabbing the yellow balls is the only way out. Loot all you want and then have to rush to get out. Keep those small localized storms to add a bit more excitement.
As far as the narrative goes the area is already in a “temporal” state when you get there so the fact that collapse happens eventually makes sense. Taking the Lim Orb things speeding up the collapse makes more sense. Upgrading your adventuring gear suppose to make exploration faster as you go.
Well that’s how I feel anyways.
You only have to scan tires or parts to learn how to fix it not if you need to fix it. To find out if a part has a bad status look for a little yellow arrow next to the part on hud IN car or garage. If you are looking at part it will have a little x in upper right above health bar.
Also when crafting a part any refined parts needed will have the sub craft recipe next to main recipe. Look to the right of main recipe. Will help with flipping back in forth between pages and scrolling
Maybe dont use the scrapper tool to destroy the tires, use the recycle machine in the garage, I think itll have a more efficient return on items. Also, get a spare set of panels and keep them in that refurbisher thing while youre out. When you get back, cycle out the ones on the car that get damaged. That way you can get healthy parts without using resources.
ALSO, those glowing yellow boulders are speed boosts for your car. Theres a "mission" where youll have to jump a bridge and there will bee a couple stacked together. Another thing, stop wasting your time breaking down cars, The items you get vs the time you waste isnt worth it. Loot the the buildings.

Love the content, just wish videos were a tad longer not a lot maybe 15 min. Sometime I feel like you keep it short for viewership ( which I get and respect) . But sometime it feels like your rushing . Great videos though keep up the great work .

sunkenland if you have a designated buddy to play with. This game if you’re going solo. Also, I would highly recommend enshrouded over sunkenland
There have been a few places where things were a little dark for my eyes but over all I've been able to enjoy your videos. Of course brighter is always better in walkthroughs. Many times I use walkthroughs not only for entertainment but to figure out stuff when I'm stuck. If its so dark like many people do, I have to strain to see anything then the video is of no use to me. I have no use for videos like those.
Test and see if yellow balls trigger the storm once put in the car if they do can you put them in storage and wait till you're ready to leave
You don't need to switch tabs to craft missing requirements. There's a craft button on the right for missing materials.

I am from Europe(Denmark) and ive always said and heard a Flashlight being called a Flashlight... Torch ive only heard during camping when we light a stick to use for light
Torch is british english. Due to Hollywood, most non-native english speakers tend to go for american english for words, even if they learned british english for spelling.
Spelling: Armor/Armour, Color/Colour
Words: Flashlight/Torch, Trunk/Boot, Hood/Bonnet, Truck/Lorry.
So do you say torch, boot (of the car), bonnet (again, of the car) and lorry? Or Flashlight, trunk, hood and truck?

I just noticed that when your making the blueprints the meter is going down. I wonder if the yellow orbs can be used too recharge the power so that the safe zone doesnt collapse.

How are viewers having more experience with this game when we can’t even play it?
Watching other streamers. It irritates me that the actual release is so far away from the streamer release.
I'm really starting to worry about Kage, like seriously so many videos lately he's not noticing anything right in front of his eyes, does he have eye issues? like at 8:35 he looks right at 2 crude door/panels and is like nope all steel, not only does it say crude on the tooltip but you can clearly see by looking at the car that it's completely different then the steel, crude looks completely different, you don't even have to look at the tooltip, it's so obvious. And you'd think after the 3rd crude panel he looks at and finally realizes it's crude that he would then see oh he missed the two other panels that are crude but he doesn't!!! so is he doing these things on purpose and trolling viewers, or is there something wrong? I used to watch Kage a lot back in day on 7dtd videos and although he occasionally missed something and it was funny, not every video lately he's staring right at things on his screen and saying he doesn't see it. each one of these videos there is about a half a dozen situations where something is right in front of him. like a few videos back there was a clear alarm going off warning him of instability coming and on map it shows a big circle closing in and the thing going haywire and he's looking right at all this and has no idea what is going on and still questions a video later that there was nothing telling him anything, then his car flips over, a huuuuge yellow notice on middle of screen telling him to hit T for emergency teleporter clearly and obviously put there because his car was upside down and he doesn't notice it. it's just constant now and it's not unobvious things anymore like in the past, it's super obvious things right in middle of screen he claims he doesn't see. There is something clearly wrong here. As someone who watched his video for years he's either trolling incredibly hard these days or there is something wrong.
Re game fundamentals being on a “timer” of some kind: while I can totally understand why the dev made this a key element in the game I am also one who hates them. I don’t like feeling rushed and enjoy exploring and looting in my own time. Ideally it would be good if they could make this optional. Right now I was planning on buying the game on release but not any more given this fact. Again it’s totally their call as it’s their game but it turns me off hard. Not buying, but thanks for the videos.
