I could hear the relief in your voice too Mom...I am sure you were in your own kinda pain. Nerve pain is no joke. I am glad your prayers were answered. The cards are so fun!
The little circle that goes around the hole in the tag is called a reinforcer. Both your cards are great and I love that you sing in jingles all the time. It’s uplifting. I guess you’re the ray of sunshine that makes the rainbow 🌈 So sorry to hear of the suffering your poor daughter has endured. It’s such a worry when you don’t know what the underlying cause is, but so glad to hear she is improving. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cards, your jingles and your upbeat spirit. There’s nothing worse than seeing a loved one in pain and not being able to help. I’m so happy she’s getting better.
Laura, Alex, you & your beautiful family have been in my prayers since you mentioned her ACL injury! I know what nerve pain is like as I have nerve damage in my right leg from an allergic reaction to an antibiotic almost fifteen years ago. It constantly feels like the stinging feeling when your leg is “waking up” after having been “asleep”& then add in shooting pains that goes up my entire leg to my spine. I’m so very thankful that Alex has some relief & so do you because your child being in pain is horrible! I pray that it continues to heal & that Alex is back to 100% very soon! BIG HUGS to all the Bassen Household! God Bless & the Love of Christ to you & yours!!
Wowser, what cool colors on those tag cards! Can understand your stress over your daughter’s pain after the acl surgery, because it’s happened here with husband’s back. He’ll work through it. Much enjoyed the cards and colors with these big letters, blending and stripes, Laura! 🌈💌

Laura, I'm so sorry about your daughter's health issues! This past January, I fell & tore my ACL, too. I have not had surgery, though. At least not yet. I'm hoping to make it through at least lawn mowing season, since my mom can't mow our grass. I'll re-evaluate then. It still hurts some if I move it the wrong way, but I don't have to wear my knee brace all the time anymore, so it has improved! Anyway, I hope your daughter gets totally well soon. I know you said she's on the mend, but I also have heard recovery from that sort of injury takes a long time. Please know I'm thinking of y'all! I love how these cards came out. I always like it when you strip--your cards, of course! LOL And never stop singing your jingles. Thank you for sharing. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
I like the BIG CHUNKY HUGS die, too. The sentiment can't be missed :) And the CONGRATS die is great. I could have used that for a card today...my friend's daughter is having a graduation party today.... Your daughter's problems sound horrible. I have various nerve problems that will never go away, so I can SOMEWHAT understand. I'm happy for your daughter, and for you and your husband. Like you said, it's really hard to have our kids or grandkids go through pain or other hard times!!! Harder than going through it ourselves. Soooo, I'm so glad that your daughter is doing better :)

Hope your daughter has a full recovery soon. I have a lot of nerve pain too especially in my toes so I can totally relate. I might try the cold trick when it's really bad.

Your cards are beautiful! There's nothing worse than going to doctors and them telling you they can't find anything. It's your body and you know when you're in pain! I'm glad she's getting better but I'll say a little prayer anyway for a complete recovery.

I love the chunky rainbow hugs. That is definitely the way to go when you're wanting a hug. Rainbow is my favorite color, so I love the rainbow theme. I also sing everything, so I think that's the way to go too.

(Many years ago) when I was a freshman in college I developed a bad case of “shin splints’ - these are tiny tears in the muscles along the shin. They were caused by practicing on an astroturf field that didn’t have much cushion beneath it. The tears bled, surgery was performed to relieve pressure in my shin, and I was placed in a cast. I developed pain and swelling in my toes that was believed to be unrelated to the original surgery. Like your daughter, my cure was a series of nerve blocks. I believe I was fortunate that I was going to college and being treated at a sports medicine clinic. Twenty plus years later, I’m good as new, and I bet your daughter will be too. At the time, Love the dies and the way you used the large tag ! Best wishes to you and your daughter !
