I think this type of makeup is beautiful on all people, I really dislike when people call others a koreaboo for wanting to try it 🤦🏾♀.
I’m an asian girl, but have much a naturally darker brown skin tone and this helped me out so much ❤️ many ulzzang (i think) makeup looks use fairer, pinkier tones which don’t suit me. I love the use of the white eyeshadow to brighten the eye. You look beautiful ❤️❤️

I'm sure you can substitute the commonly used pink tones with soft gold peach, if you still want that ulzzang-like look on a darker complexion :D

I think though, you might want to look for you undertone of skin ^^ if it’s warmer (which seems like you are @marianogi) I too believe peach/ orange/ bright red/ warm brown will suit you very well^^ these are the basic colors of ulzzang makeup, because many Koreans also have warm undertones, no matter their skin tone !

I don’t even have darker skin, just watching this because I feel like it needs more attention since most Korean makeup tutorials are for pale/a little bit tan skin tones and we definitely need to see more people with darker skin wearing Korean makeup!!!

my indian cousin wears korean makeup and that’s where i got the idea to do it too. i have the same skin tone, just softer features compared to her sharper ones

JK golden ulzzang is a style of makeup, it’s associated to korean girls because they invented it but it just happens to suit black features really well so it’s in no way “racially ambiguous” to do your makeup in a way that suits your face. You’re just inspired by people who did it before you. Nothing wrong with that :) it’s good to share with each other and to Inspire each other
Peach Macabre I know. This is exactly why I started this UA-cam channel, to try “aesthetic” makeup that we only see on these “aestdolls” and other aesthetic makeup page which only have WHITE GIRLS. i’m African American/Native American and i’ve been scared to try this for a long time since i think some ppl might think i’m trying to ig “change my race” some ppl do think that was but this makes me feel more confident to try things out.
Native American and African people have features that are similar to Asians sometimes. People are just angry because Asian pop culture is becoming mainstream and they only know about what they see. They don't know yet than African people have similar features because they don't listen to African music, don't watch African movies, don't follow African insta models etc. Unfortunately they only think as far as their eyes can go. Go ahead and do your makeup the way it suits you and don't try to be anybody else, you'll be fine🤍

(which includes some baggy-ness on the under eye) and I have done makeup on my under eyes to further accentuate my beautiful features. my asian friends have told me that there is nothing wrong with it as long as I'm not trying to "become/look asian." which is so so so true!

I am not dark skinned like you but I am fairly tanned, although my profile photo makes my complexion appear lighter. I tan very easily in the summer and my skin turns into a darker caramel. Wow, its been a LONG TIME since I've seen someone talk about Ullzang. I was OBSESSED with this trend when I was going through my phase of all things Korean, like 10 years ago. Lol brings back sweet memories. I wish I had been as young as you when I discovered all of that. Or that I was a young person when Hallyu hit the US. It's so much more fun when you're young.

This is so refreshing for me in two ways: one, bc I'm naturally tanned (I'm half Brazilian bc of my mom -ofc there are tons of white ppl in brazil but my mom's not white-) and two, it just feels so refreshing to see non-asian people finally posting this type of makeup bc makeup is UNIVERSAL, just as asian people do "occidental" makeup techniques, we can too bc its just makeup, damn. I have been doing my makeup like this all my life since I first started wearing it what I called it was just my look. I like soft glam it’s natural and beautiful but with the exposure to the internet and different countries and they’re styles. I’ve been wanting to start a channel, it’s nice to see girls like me doing this style. It’s important to note there is nothing wrong with however black or any other women choose to do with their makeup. I subbed, you’re beautiful.

Yes to using eye shadow for your eyebrows! It makes them look so soft! I’ve been doing this for a decade!
