That would make even the Prussians impresed! Those guys were drilled to such degree, they could fire off 4 shots in a battle and supposedly 6 in a parade
I am really happy to find your channel...very informative for reenacting, and your A NUT! haha I am trying to find info on shotgun paper cartridges. Yes'r, I'm a Texas Cavalry reenactor. I'll keep looking, but any chance you can do a video on them? Either way...your videos are great!!!
I am so glad I found your channel. I don't doubt any of your research, I've been a black powder enthusiast for years and spent a career reviewing medical research in healthcare. Your evidence certainly convinces me that you know what you are doing and saying.
Vindication! Justice! The world has returned to its proper course, and there was great rejoicing. And by the way, loading from the table is not the same as loading from pouches.
The one thing I've learned about being online is that no matter what you do you are going to always have those skeptics who will never believe anything no matter how much evidence you display. One minute eighteen seconds is very impressive for any musket 5 round shoot.
Omg the comedy has just been getting better and better XD. I will find me an enfield yet so I can experience proper Pritchett loading! Thanks for also introducing me to Bulleit, stuff is great!
Hi, sir. I have been watching your channel recently as a result of reading the history of a Georgia regiment in the Civil War. I enjoy the channel and demos. I recently bought a double barrel 12 GA. Dresye shotgun. Mr. Dreyse's son tried to make the Dreyse system commercially viable with pistols, shotguns, and rifles. Any thoughts on how to make reproduction Dreyse shotgun shells? Keep up the good work. Classic Shotgunner
I’ve seen the shotgun shells but have never thought about making them. Is it still needle fire? I know some of them were converted to regular firing pins.
Captain, sir! I have elected to try and shoot this challenge with my 1855 Springfield and what remaining cartridges I have from you! Also, I intend to check the accuracy of your Williams Type II bullets at 25 and 100m in the same musket. -Respectfully Yours, That Annoying Redleg Officer In Kansas
Brett, you are a Star😂. WC Fields wold have been proud of you never mind Mr Pritchett...................As for Anti American Bias? Comes with the rifle 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Me
"I'm pretty fast"
Also me after seeing this. "Nope Nope Not at all"
Excellent musketry
Well shot my friend..
I have always had great results using the cartridges you taught me to make, and the bullets I cast from my reverse-engineered custom mould.
Dude, you nearly had four shots in a minute, that was nuts
He did achieve 4 shots in exactly 1 minute on one of British Muzzleloader’s videos. I believe it’s one of the 2019 Victorian shoot videos?
Yeah, he already achieve that
That would make even the Prussians impresed! Those guys were drilled to such degree, they could fire off 4 shots in a battle and supposedly 6 in a parade
@@jekabsojarsulskis9740 I mean…the Dreyse certainly helped…
@@MusketMan1997 before Dreyse
I'm disappointed that Pritchett's ghost didn't speak to us when I visited the shop. Anyways, that was some smooth loading
He only really seems to speak after I’ve had several fingers of bourbon.
@@papercartridges6705 that checks out.
dang son, you're flying. That cap certainly cost you some time
😂 Moping about like a welshman! that was fast!
Could have knocked 15 seconds off the time with your powder!!
I love the ambient sounds of musket fire

Forgive me for the language I used when the cap didn't behave on round 4...

Comedy?! Everything in this video is totally, utterly, soberly serious. Well, perhaps not soberly. But definitely serious!
that was blazing!
Loved it! Great loading! I can’t shoot my Sharps that quickly.
Well done that man!!
(When in the regular army I smoked Lucky Strike plain. And - Glenmorangie Distillery is 7 miles from my house.)
Thanks as always.good to see the great rifles..regards from nz.
What you did is amazing. I dabble in loading my 2 band fast sometimes and can't get 2 shots a minute
Brett!
It was all in the Cover that You were wearing!😬A Welshman was in your cap pouch bending the wings on the musket caps!

Don't worry brother! You'll be fine.. excellent vid tho.
Should’ve just spit the bullet down the barrel and stuck your rammer in the ground. The more you know!
Holy Moses, that’s fast!!
I received the following telegram from Her Majesty to pass on to you, says simply: "Well done, that man!"
But can the Brits do it while under the rebel yell?🤔
👏👏👏👏🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧Well played Sir.
I don't say this much, but that was straight baller, holy smokes 🎉
Nice video bud can't wait till we shoot again I'm practicing up with the bess
I am afraid I have to say that's a nice pattern 1856 uniform, where did you get that?
i will try and film mine Saturday
Great vid. Good taste in whiskey too
Why should England tremble 👍

25 meters?! Are you deliberately trying to insult them?
@@papercartridges6705 Not intentionally, sir!
It’s just that that’s the minimum range I intend to kill a deer at since I stalk hunt!
That was some right fine shooting sir, but did you wear the Italian Speed Shoes ??
No… that’s probably why I had so much trouble with the caps. Next time I need the Italian musket shooting shoes.
Anti American bias inserted here😂
Fine effort, but did you hit the kill zone each time. Speed without accuracy is worthless. 😉👏👏👏
Sort of. Three out of five. But I wouldn’t want to take those odds…
@@papercartridges6705 Indeed. 😅
Impressive!!

P.S, I prefer my original Prichard mould over all others for .577 shooting…so easy to load, with a paper patch….
They are the best. Really shouldn’t even be any debate over it!
Yep,I have made moulds for all my other calibres….
you did great. and I hope you enjoy the PDF of that 1983 book I sent you on Facebook
