Hi Adams : we don’t really use to many sentences in daily conversation like would have or would met ? We often use ( I said I would be there or He said he would come !!!!!
Awesome lesson, Adam! I teach English to Brazilians, and I appreciate the way you teach. I'm currently teaching the structures "I would like..." and "I will have..." to be used in a restaurant setting, so this lesson will be a good addition to my explanation about the usage of "will" and "would" in the future, after they feel comfortable using those other structures. They'll get there, slowly but surely. 😊 We don't want to overwhelm them, right?😉☺️
Sotaque americano, mas a pronúncia perfeita para que todos consigam te entender. Muito bom! Espero um dia falar inglês com toda essa clareza. Continue fazendo vídeos como esse, eles ajudam bastante! 👏👏😄
Thank you endlessly for all of your helpful explanations. If you would, please clarify how an unreal situation in the past can be non-conditional. Thank you ever so much.
I'm very keen on your videos. I'm an English teacher here in Brazil. I'll send your videos to a student of mine who has some difficulty to understand the differences between will and would
Hi, I've been watching your content for a while, it's been really useful for me, appreciate it. I wanted to ask you about the microphone you're wearing, what is it exactly? I'd like to get one. Thanks very much!
Hi, Sir! Thanks infinitely for your helpful explanations. If you would, please, clarify to me how we can utilize would in unreal, non-conditional scenarios. I can't locate an example of that; it's so perplexing! Also, I would like to know whether statements containing 'wish' and 'if only ' are considered conditionals or not. Thank you again ever so much,Sir.
Thank you very much, sir..! I hv watched a number of your videoes. Very well explained lessions, more than anything very down to earth attitude towards of yours towards the learners make the lessions all the more aopealing. God bless you. I too am a teacher from 🇱🇰
Hi Adam, your video was great and your explanation was extremely clear. In speech, people usually use a mixed conditional by using "would" instead of "will" in the first conditional sentence, e.g.: "If she wants to get a promotion, she would need to make more sales". [1] Can we interprete the meaning of the sentence just like your explanation for the sentence "in order to get a promotion, she would need to make more sales" ? [2] Is this kind of mixed conditional grammatically correct ? I'd appreciate your help. Best regards,

Hi Adam. I'm a non native speaker but I'm not sure this video is comprehensive at all. I believe would can be used in factual contexts as well, eg, I would like some tea. I want to sound courteous (and this is what makes the would in this context formal), but I have used would in a factual context. The reason I'm even writing to you now is because I'm an ESL teacher and I have a fairly good understanding of the language, so, I had difficulty delivering the lesson because of some usages of would. In my opinion, even as a non native speaker, this video video needs to cover much ground if it should give a fair understanding of the usage of the word. And I think non natives do have a thorough understanding that where would comes with a past perfect tense, that's an indication of failure - that an undesirable outcome has come to pass. (maybe I'm speaking for myself) But I do know that while I seldom use will, I do strictly use it for certain outcomes. By the way, will can also be used with a conditional clause. Unless you want to tell me that that is grammatically incorrect. Please tell me what you think of these 2; 1. I will go to the bank if I have time 2.I would go to the bank if I had time I would use 1 for both strong and weak possibilities. Are you saying would would be more appropriate in the case of the 2nd possibility? And there I go with my exaggerated usage of "would". Would would be more... Or I should have said would will be more? For me, this context allows me to use both, but because would is a bit more polite, I am going for it!!! I honestly seldom use will in my conversational English, and it's purely because, generally, it's a more courteous form of expressing ideas. Would you like to come watch a movie with over the weekend? This is an invitation, and I am expressing this invitation in this manner to up my chances of my invitation being accepted. In other words, I am making it more certain than will would have been in this particular context. Yes, I'm a non native speaker, but I don't agree with this video completely. By the way, I had a problem delivering this lesson in class in the presence of my employer because while grammar does have rules, SOMETIMES, it makes learning and speaking as a native harder than ignoring them, and I honestly felt that way about my lesson. I was failing to connect with it the same way I'm failing to connect with this video. Which ideas have I expressed wrongly. I would greatly appreciate your response. (again, I want to sound more courteous, and have used would here for that purpose) Enough on that!
Thanks, so instructive, for thé expression of '' in order to get a promotion '', thé first and thé thierd one are thé same meaning ? I mean '' would need '' & '' ''wouod have needed''??
Hi Adam, how's it goin'?. Long time no see, that was an excellent explanation Adam. I understood everything you said but I've got a question for you: - How come there's no such a thing as formal and informal verbs in terms of usage ?. I mean, as an example: - I understand that you use the verb "to remove", like in: "remove your shoes" but you can also say: "Take off your shoes" or "Take your shoes off" In this case it's a phrasal verb. I see it that way but now that you said that, would you be so kind to give a deeper explanation of what you meant to say by that ?. I'd appreciate it, thank you so much in advance for the answer and for the video Adam. 👍.

Hello, sir. Would you please feed me with high grammar structures which are not common in everyday English?
Hi Adam, how's it goin'?. Long time no see, that was an excellent explanation Adam.
I understood everything you said but I've got a question for you:
- How come there's no such a thing as formal and informal verbs in terms of usage ?. I mean, as an example:
- I understand that you use the verb "to remove", like in:
"remove your shoes"
but you can also say:
"Take off your shoes" or
"Take your shoes off"
In this case it's a phrasal verb.
BUT
I had always thought that:
- "remove" is the formal way to say it, the one you would use in an essay.
- "take off" is the informal way to say it, the one you use when talking to people in the streets.
I see it that way but now that you said that, would you be so kind to give a deeper explanation of what you meant to say by that ?. I'd appreciate it, thank you so much in advance for the answer and for the video Adam. 👍.
they are so helpful to me. Thank you so much!
